I am looking for almond milk that doesn't have too much sodium. I have found Pacific almond milk unsweetened has 180 mg per serving. Can I find something less than that?

if you have any recommendations, let me know.

Thanks

Blue Diamond's Almond Milk is 150mg per serving. (http://www.bluediamond.com )

Thanks, ghart. is there anything less than 150 mg:))

You can make it yur self in the blender = 0 sodium!

soak almonds over night

blend 1 part almond to 3-4 parts water

strain in a nut bag or sock

there you go (it keeps in the fridge for 5-7 days)

it also don't have harmful preservatives or thick eners like the packaged products

thanks. Are you talking about almond powder ? I don't see how whole almonds will blend in a blender?

Why wouldn't they? Blend the almonds + water and you'll get a pulp. Strain the pulp to get almond milk.

If you soak the almonds in water overnight they get a little soft and in the morning you can blend them in the blender. There's your almond milk :)

ok ladies. Thanks. Now, should I add one ounce of almonds to- let us say- three cups of water?? would that work?

one more important question. how would I calculate the calories in that one?

Here's a site where it shows you how to make your own almond milk:

I'm not sure how you would calculate the calories. I would think that it's still 7 calories per almond. I might be wrong though.
