Sunday weigh in shows I'm now at a BMI of 26! Yay! (I AM cheering even though it's still overweight)-- i'm on my way! My first goal is a healthy BMI
Even though my scale happens to have a mind of its own sometimes, I think I'm getting the most consistent reading so I plan to be happy about this!
Oddly, I don't feel like celebrating by eating a bunch of food - really it just helps me continue to make good decisions with my food choices. And I haven't cut out all treats, either. My favorite treat is those little ice cream cones for 140 calories - sooo good and makes me not feel like i'm dieting when i get to have ice cream sometimes just like everyone else!
Now I reward myself by buying lots of books - last one was ender's game -- so good, i recommend it!
edit: one thing negative-ish, i WISH i could start seeing a difference already
Sounds like the "book" reward is the right thing to do. Too many times I read people here giving themselves a "food" reward of something off their plan or they build in "days off" the lifestayle change where they eat unhealthy food. Why plan to eat something that is against a diet? Never understood that.
Reward yourself with non-food. Great idea.
You going to get the next book in the Ender series? I've read the first three...all very good.
double post....twitchy mouse finger ;)
yep! got 5 of them! but i have to order the rest online! (children...)
i'm reading ender's shadow right now and then i think i'm going to read the rest in chronological order rather than publication order
