I ALMOST reached my goal but i still feel fat!!!
Here is my story...so im 5'2 and my SW was 140 lbs (Yikes for me!) i was always very thin and in high school i plumped out to 140. i continued to stay 140 through my first 2 years of college, now im 21 years old and i lost....20 lbs!! so im currently 120 (on a good day!) but my goal is 115...so i'm very very close. Anyway, i still feel fat!!! i'm 5 lbs away from my goal weight and i still feel discusting, im NOT happy with the results AT ALL. will 5 lbs make a difference? should i change my goal to 110 lbs?!? Has anyone else felt this way once reaching their goal???
results:Sorry i dont have before pictures, i was always so unhappy with myself i would NEVER let anyone take my picture. Do i really look as bad is i think i do?? (BE HONEST!!!!)
yeah? no?
You look fine. i think you need to be happy with your accomplishments and stop dwelling on the down sides. You've lost 20 lbs and if someone loses 20 lbs it is going to show. i really think you look fine and if i saw you on the beach in a bikini looking like that i would deffinatly not think anything. Serisouly, you are doing great!! You arent so skinny where it would hurt you to loose 5-10 more lbs but your at a fine weight now as well.
Keep up the good work.!

P.S. I have my birth mark in nearly the same spot as you and same size. Mine is a little darker but neat hey?
I think you look really good! Honestly, I wouldn't lose more than another 5 pounds.
I can relate though, because whenever I reach my goal weight I still want to drop another 5 or so pounds! I've convinced myself to just focus on exercise and not worry about the scale anymore.
You look great though, congrats!
Jeeze congrats you look great! I kind of know where you're coming from, but here's what I think. You should first of all feel wonderful about your accomplishment so far. You've achieved a goal that you've set for yourself (or nearly I suppose) and that alone is commendable. Now think you are a determined person who can do anything they set their mind to - including having the body you want. Nobody can really tell you how you should feel about your own body, so I think its important to do this for you, so if you want to drop that last 5 pounds I know you can do it! Just don't forget that you can be proud of your body not because its the way you want it to look, but for the effort and drive it took you to get to where you are.
From the pictures you posted... you're stomach looks great... and I'm a tummy guy! 5 lbs will make a difference on a petite girl like yourself... absolutely! Keep up the incredible job and don't get discouraged if the last few pounds are the hardest to get off. You may be toning and not losing any weight for awhile when you have so little body fat left... just FYI>
Thanks. i know im not "fat" so i shouldnt say "fat" but i just always find myself comparing. and yeah im very very petitie so when i was 140 i looked alot heavier than that...so its not a surprise 120 looks more than it is. i have very very small bone structure. When i was younger the doctors thought there was something wrong because i was soooo unbelievibly tiny. Once i got in middle school things started to even out. Im still small so when i do put on weight, its more noticable.
but thanks for motivation. i think i decided 7 lbs just because knowing me...i'll put a couple back on in no time ;-)
jade...thats kinda cool. Never met anyone with a birth mark on their belly like mine haha. I like it there lol.
5'2" 113 to 115lbs is perfect on a small frame. You're right there (congrats)! Gotta love petite girls!
You look great, girl! Your first goal sounds great. :)
I'm 5'2" and 145 lbs, believe me, you look waaaaayyyy smaller than me. I understand how you feel becuase I lost 10 lbs and I still feel like I'm as big as I was at 155 lbs, even though I am smaller. I think because weight is lost so slowly we don't always "see" how much of a difference there is between our starting weight and our new weight. I bet if you lost 20 lbs in a day you would see a HUUUUGE difference and not feel so "disgusting". Honestly. you look great. If you want to be 115 lbs, go for it, but even if you stay as 120 you look GREAT. 110 might look too skinny, I wouldn't try to go that small (personally). Be proud of yourself, you are by no means "disgusting" at all.
I think 115 would be the perfect weight for you. Getting any lower then that, I think you'd be too thin. I am also 5 2', you and I look to be about the same body structure.
For your height (not considering frame size), a healthy weight is from 110-136, a BMI of 19-24.9. At 115 pounds, you BMI would be a 21. I think you'd be perfect there.
I'm 5'4'' and my SW was 225 my GW was 150. When I hit 150 I felt good for hitting my goal but I still didn't feel happy with my weight. So I changed my goal to 140, I've hit that and I love how I feel at 140. My plan is to get down to 130-135 so that was when I have that 5 pound fluctuation we all get I will still be in a good place with my weight. So I guess I would say that you will know what weight makes you happy. If your not happy at 115 try 110, I think 5 lbs does make a difference, atleast it does for me.
For starters, you look great.
It sounds like you had set some healthy weight goals and now that you're almost there, you don't look how you thought you would. It happens. Sometimes skin doesn't keep up with the weight changes. Sometimes people lose muscle tone or muscle mass.
So since you're close to your healthy weight goal, maybe it's time to focus more on toning your body so it looks the way you want it to?
You look at a perfectly healthy weight to me. I don't think you need to lose anymore weight :)
I'm not anywhere near my goal yet but I think everyone has off days so don't beat yourself up about it.
I think that most of us have a very difficult time seeing what we actually look like. We have an image in our head and, for the most part, that image is what we see any time we consciously look at ourselves in a mirror. I bet if you accidentally caught a glimpse of your reflection in a store window and processed it before you realised it was you, you'd think you looked great!
I have no idea how to "fix" this not-seeing-the-real-us problem, but I can definitely relate to it.
