Already 3 weeks of being a good girl and ...nothing
I don't know why and how but being a good girl last 3 weeks with jogging 3 times a week, salads, only grilled white meat, without sugar, starbucks etc and I just lost 1 pound. Moreover I started to feel lazy wihout any motivation (even imaging myself in Eve Mendes body) and weak - I know it's not cause of my low calorie intake. I eat between 1400-1600 calories a day, I run half hour, I dance salsa, I walk in my job around 3-4 hours a day. My bio is 5'7 and 190 pounds. So how long to wait for results...??Only I can say I am very unhappy right now.
sorry, I dont have the answer. I have the same problem!!! I have been "good" too, for almost two weeks. NO RESULTS. Nada.
It's very frustrating. They tell me to wait, and it's slow. But!!! The calorie meter thing told me I could lose it by a certain date, and now there is no progress, so that would never really happen.
I am still gonna hang to diet but oh well hope I won't kill anyone cause of my bad mood. I am really ready for summer, skirts, tank tops and bikini but my body isn't
Up to 1.9lbs a week would be a reasonable and healthy rate for you, that's still kinda pushing it. But you're trying to lose 2+lbs a week? I think you need to recalculate your calorie burn. With all that, you're at least light activity, probably moderate, so you burn somewhere between 2300 and 2600 calories a day, I'm guessing around 2500. So you should be eating between 1750-2000 calories every day to lose, not 1400-1600.
It sounds as if you're entirely unhappy with your diet. No one says you can't have Starbucks, or that you have to eat salad every day.
Remember that 1lbs isn't something to be that unhappy with. You still lost it, didn't you? :) So you did accomplish something, don't feel bad because it wasn't an exuberant amount. You're one step closer to being healthier!
what lynlette said about the calories. you need to be eating more to fuel all the activity from the jogging, dancing, and active job. If you don't eat enough, you will lose weight more slowly because your body thinks there's a famine and starts to conserve fat.
Often it is suggested you not weight yourself for the first month, especially if you find it discouraging. Changes in exercise and increases in fiber, etc. can even cause weight gain. It takes 3500 calories to loss one pound of fat. It is simple math --- hang in there - it WILL work. I sometimes don't see any movement on the scale and then will drop 3 pounds. Keep the faith - be happy and pround of your efforts!!! Your changes are leading to better health, not just weight loss.
I got very frustrated when I started. I actually GAINED three pounds. But today, after 10 days, I dropped 5 pounds. It takes time, your body adjusts, and weight fluctuates based on water, horomones and a ton of other factors. Just strive to live healthy!
think about how many YEARS it took you to get your body to the point it is now, its unrealistic to expect dramatic results. You didn't dramatically become 190 ilbs over night. Don't think of it as a "diet" but as a lifestyle change, be patient and you will see results :)
Likewise it is unrealistic to drop to where you want to be weightwise in 3 weeks :)
hai!
I totaly know what you must feel!its like "why am I doing all the effort if it has no results?"and it feels like ok,I could eat what I want or whenever I want I would still be here....from my own experiance really giving everything at once can have backdoors...use some tricks not to dissapoint yourself....measure in your clothes or jacket and after a week without...the running must tone your muscles and as we all know muscles are much heavier than fat. There are some people who store up a lot of water weight and than they drop 4 pouns in 2 days, and also before your period you store more water.I hope you will feel better and keep up the good work!:)
And like everyone else said - be patient. I know it's tough. I am the same way - I wanna see the results NOW NOW NOW even though I didn't get "here" overnight.
Also it looks like you might not be eating enough for the amount of exercise you do!
Otherwise just continue being patient, no point in giving up now :)
I have been on CC for about 5-6 weeks (not long)and have lost nothing for the last 3 weeks. I stick to my calorie target, do cardio 6x a week and eat "clean" and felt totally de-motivated.
Yesterday I was wearing some fitted trousers and t-shirt and so many people commented about how much more toned I looked. Even I had to admit I was starting to look fitter (and I'm TOUGH on myself!) I still have a way to go but I'm saying this hopefully to encourage. You don't always see results on the scales.
One thing I have picked up from CC forum (roj, amy, lauren, gi-jane) is to be patient. I'm really no good at being patient with myself but anything else is unrealistic so I'm going to stick with it.
The other thing I've been told is to occasionally try "shocking" my metabolism with some extra calories. I might start up a separate thread on that cos I would like to build up courage to do it and would welcome the feedback.
Keep going martusia - we can do it!!!!
EDIT: should say "boosting" as someone (on another thread) said that I was endorsing bingeing by suggesting this which I most definitely am not! I guess that by this definition zig zagging is a "no no" as well.
Why do I get bad cramps after I eat?
Suspect lactose intolerance when abdominal cramps are a problem, especially after breakfast when milk products are consumed. Lactose... Read more
