I think things are getting too boring around here.. we need to liven things up and find out more about each other! :)
I wanna know what everyone's favorites are.. like movie, music, books, anything.. what are you "into"? :)
my favorite type of movie (can't pick just one) are fantasies and chick flicks... my favorite music is alternative, and i love murder mysteries for books.. :)
edit: i forgot to mention that my favorite all time band is pink floyd.. :)

Yeah, I lean towards comedies and chick flicks too. Typical girl I guess! Last book I read was "It's called a break up because it's broken!" You guessed it - I am recently single - six weeks and counting! So right now, what i am "in to" is Me! Ha.
Really focusing on getting in shape, keeping up my running (started in January), and eating well. Trying to get out there and meet new people - amazing how your social circle can dwindle while dating someone seriously! Also working towards my professional designation - one exam to go!! Whoo hoo!!!

I like suspense and horror for movies, and I have very ecclectic tastes when it comes to music, In fact, the cd I have in my car has the stones & kanye west lol. I love to read, I mostly find myself lately reading horror, and romance novels (esp. vamp related).
Otherwise, I love to sew, and I am an Art student, so anything dealing with art, esp. b&w photography. I am going to post some of my work in my blog if any of you are interested , but not until later on tonight, today has been a doosie already!

Love ALL movies with Robert DeNiro, chick flix, and easy listening music by Andrea Bocelli if I'm sad and want to relax. To let of some steam it's gonna be classic rock.
And historical romance novel's.

My favorite fiction book is 'A Gracious Plenty" by sherrie reynolds. My favorite movies are magnolia, and narnia. Non fiction books include C.S. Lewis' works. Music, I listen mostly to Christian, but I have a huge range of favorites...and pink floyd would be right up there. Thanks for this postive and fun post!

OMG we need a 20 questions string!
Ok, but to first address this post:
Favorite book.... um "I get enough reading from cereal boxes and car magazines" (quote from Joey on Friends)
Favorite music: I'm a metal girl. Nightwish is way high on my list and I'm very excited about the new Lacuna Coil CD coming out next week. other than that, Slipknot, Sevendust, Korn, Avenged Sevenfold... well you get the idea.
Movies: I like action. Gladiator comes to mind... /drool. All the LoTR movies, Kill Bill 1 & 2....

hehe.. nymo: lotr is why we went to nz.. we went two days after the premier.. (they changed the date of it AFTER we got our tickets.. :( ) check out my new zealand pictures to see some of the after effects of the "big party" haha. :)
I watch the T.V. show " starting Over " every weekday morning while on my treadmill. And I try to catch the soap opera " Passions " as it's SO believeable. LOL. And I will read anything ...But once I start a book I have to finish it so I will go without sleep ... a good thing I am a fast reader. I love to paint things wild. The doghouse looks like a jigsaw puzzle.
Good topic! I am always hoping to hear recommendations for my next mystery selections...I also like sci-fi/ fantasy movies, and have been so grateful for the LOTR and Narnia movies since things had sort of seemed sparse for awhile. Or maybe I just didn't get out much! Augh! That part is probably a bit too true.
I used to read a lot of sci-fi/fantasy in college, but that was a long while ago. About three years ago I started the Fire and Ice fantasy series by and was totally hooked not realizing that he hadn't finished writing the series yet. DOH! I think the next one is out, but only in hard cover so I am not rushing out to read it only to wait many more years for the (supposedly) last book to come out.
And for music.... alternative! Woo-hoo!

How fun! I'm an avid reader and read everything except sci fiction; as for movies - the old classics, chick flicks and fantasy. Favorite music is hip hop, top pop and rap - no one favorite. Don't watch a lot of tv but do enjoy the ones about fixing up houses, interior design, and stuff like that.
:) My favorite movies tend to be documentaries or indy films. I
also enjoy all of your garden variety forensics/true crime type TV
series and I am a law and order junkie :)
As for books, I tend to read a lot of "how to" and non-fiction and my house is stuffed to the gills with books on a whole variety of subjects, primarily spirituality, philosophy, new thought, nutrition, politics, and alternative health type books. I also write for a hobby/living.
Music tastes: I like a bit of everything except country. Country is just not my thing even though I am a bit of a country girl. I listen to everything: Classical, Jazz, Rock/Hard Rock, New Age, Trance/House, 80's stuff to relive my youth lol...
I have a whole bunch of hobbies and tend to have a half million unfinished projects always at my disposal because I bore easily and like to hop around :). I make soap and candles, lotions, potions, and salves ;). I also do some crosstitch, am working on becoming a better gardner, home renovations stuff of that nature. If I'm interested in it I do my best to teach it to myself basically. My whole family has always been that way. We love to learn.

I think I would win the award for strangest hobby! :) I collect My Little Ponies (the 80's kind, not the new ones, although I have a few from 2004 when they first came out).
To my hubby's continual dismay, I am quite infatuated with them. I have about 500 now, I think, and am considered the expert in the pony community on Sea Ponies. And yes, I said 'community', there are several thousand of us worldwide who are collectors. :)
How's that for wierd? If anyone want to see, my website is www.geocities.com/mlpwhizzer19. The best parts are in Sea Pony Utopia, in my opinion.
Bet no one could top that for favorite hobby! :)

Movies: I really like creative movies or ones that make me you just sit there in a stupor after the movie is over, classics, oh and really sweet foreign movies. So for example Moulin Rouge, Princess Bride, Philadelphia, Donnie Darko, Amelie, Les Choristes (The Chorus), Les Miserables, La Vita e bella (Life is Beautiful), also i like the popular ones like Italian Job, LOTR!!! etc... I really like almost any genre except gorey/blood and guts stuff.
Music: Once again i like almost any genre and i have an eclectic collection. I generally don't like rap or country but even then i manage to find at least one song that i like. I go through phases with music and right now i'm into classical music and 80's music (what a mix right? :-p). Particularly the romantic period with composers like Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Rimsky-Korsakov, Fauré, Tchaikovsky to name a few.
Books: I love my mystery/suspense books (hardy boys, agatha christie, catherine coulter) and of course fantasy (Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia) The last 2 books i read (besides textbooks) was the DaVinci Code and The Time Traveler's Wife.
TV: I'm all about Lost. I love it. I only started watching it because one of my favorite actors plays the character Charlie. I've been hooked ever since. I watch other shows occasionally but living in a dorm room with no tv makes it difficult. Which i suppose is a good thing :)

Let's see, favourite movies - don't have one though I love to watch most movies out there.
Books - I read as many as I can get my hands on on a good weekend in the winter I've been known to devour 3 in a day! I'll ready almost anything, though I lean towards sci-fi and fantasy. I've also recently discovered a weakness for romance novels - but we'll keep that our little secret.
Music - well anything but rap and country. One of my favourite's at the moment is NIN, though I have extremly varied tastes (classical through grunge rock and techno) - all depends on what fits my mood.
I love gardening though I'm still a novice gardener and I love doing artsy crafty things. Currently I'm tackling a painting which is proving to be rather challenging and somewhat frustrating but I'm determined it will be worthy of hanging on the wall at some point (maybe in a dark closet, but definitly on the wall).

I'm an incredible geek. I am into just about every type of movie - I do consider myself a foreign film buff, especially Asian films. I LOVE horror movies of all types (just saw Slither - that was great!)
For music I pretty much like everything. LOVE the Beatles and all the stuff my parents played while I was growing up. I like a lot of recent stuff too...
Right now my favorite TV shows are Battlestar Galactica, LOST, Dr. Who, American Idol (Taylor Hicks <3 <3 <3), and CSI
I watch anime (and get anime tattoos), roleplay (Warhammer, D&D), and I play video games and make costumes for sci-fi shows and play Magic: The Gathering and read comic books and all that other geeky stuff.
I also love to read and my favorite authors are too many to name, but for a few I would say Kurt Vonnegut, Clive Barker, F. Scott Fitzgerald, C. S. Lewis, Neil Gaiman, etc.
