alternatives to fruits and vegetables?

Quote  |  Reply

so i've never really liked fruits and vegetables, and i wanted to know, are they really necessary in a diet? is there an alternate way i can get the nutrients from these foods in other ways, in protein bars or supplements...i do like dried fruit and i've enjoyed lara bars, since they are mainly dried fruit and nuts, essentially.

also, i am on a weight gain diet, and i figured i don't need fruits/vegs as much since, these don't realy help that much with actual weight *gain* right?

It doesn't matter. They are still part of a healthy, balanced diet whether you are gaining, losing, or maintaining. Not to mention that some like avocado, potatoes, and bananas are high calorie. There are hundreds of available varieties of fruits and vegetables with different flavors, so surely you can find at least some you like.

cannot be healthy w/o eating fruits and vegetables every day. sorry.

vegetables and fruits.
