always hungry! wat to do?

Quote  |  Reply

I have been counting calories for 2 days now, before this I am guessing that I was eating between 2000-2500 a day, which was maintaining my weight of 160.  I am trying to lose 10-15 lbs, and I am allowing myself 1700 calories a day, but the problem is that I am ALWAYS hungry! Is it because I'm new to this, and my body hasn't gotten used to it? Or do I have to be hungry all the time in order to achieve my weight loss? Because if so, I'd rather have an extra 10 lbs and be happy! LOL !!  I eat a little bit every hour/2 hours, and I have 2 big meals a day.

Maybe it is because you're not eating any vegetables and need more fats.  From what I see from your old post, it seems like you need to incorporate more fats into your snacks/meals later on in the day, and add a LOT more vegetables (because I see none)

I have this same problem. Try eating more protein and fibre. Drink at least 1 litre of water a day (this is a huge help as our bodies often mistake hunger for thirst). If that fails have a hot drink, I drink the herbal flavoured teas, they are really good as I am not a black tea/coffee drinker. I also try to have a trim hot chocolate  after dinner to keep me going it only ends up being about 120cal. If that doesn't work try drinking a sugar free soft drink, I know a lot of people on here aren't into them but they help me feel more full between eating.

thanks, any suggestions? I'm not a huge fan of vegetables........ i will try though.

You should try to introduce more milk/diary products!

Maybe you dropped your calories too much. If you normally ate on some days 2500 and now are eating 1700 that is a big drop. Maybe if you just drop it by a few hundred you will see results but slower and lasting. Also what is your activity like cause that adds to caloric needs.

I usually do 45 to an hour of cardio 4-5 times a week along with weight training on some days. Usually burn between 400-600 cals on the cardio machines

If your hungry all the time try eating fiber and fruits and dont forget not to skip a meal because is what boost your metabolism
