Amazing Fall Recipes?

Quote  |  Reply

So I live in New England and the weather is starting to get a little chilly. I am a HUGE fan of autumn and all that it brings. The smell of burning fireplaces, pumpkin patches, trick or treating, apple picking...I digress.

I spend a lot of time baking (and then eating) delicious fall food and it has taken a toll on my waistline in the past. Some of my favorites are apple and pumpkin pie, pumpkin muffins, apple strudel, squash soup with parmesan, chili, and comfy macaroni & cheese. Not bad on their own, but bad when everyday from Sept-Dec!

Do you have a favorite (revamped) classic fall recipe? I am looking for some lighter, but still tasty options. (No baked apples please...I already have too many recipes for them!)

wow that looks delicious, healthy, and very festive! i will have to give it a try. black beans and chili powder sound like a tasty match with pumpkin.

thanks!

Did you see this week's Recipes Blog?  It's about apple desserts, all under 200 calories a serving.

I love fall as well! I live in north Florida and the changes in seasons are more subtle, but I love it this time of year (especially in October).  Apple, pumpkins etc.  I can't wait to cook some of these recipes.  Yum! Thanks!
