I found it. It´s real. Works for craving and being hungry between meals.

Orbit gum: pick the best flavor, I like the one in the green/pink package; tastes like a creamy melon soda.

Chew on this for about 5-7 mins. It´ll stop the initial OMG Im craving cookies! moment. But it wont take it away in my experience.

Bust out celery hearts and a diet coke. Sip the coke and start downing the celery. Dont eat TOO fast! I have found about 5 celery hearts do the trick for me.

About 15 mins later youll realize your pangs have gone away. This is for real.


The reason? An empty or nearing empy stomach wants food. Low cal foods lack that in most cases. Celery is bulk and requires more calories to comsume it then it does in it. It gives your stomach a workout and makes it happy. If you really get into a jam put a tablespoon of peanut butter on it for a tad bit of ¨happy fat¨.

lmao I chew Stride Forever Fruit gum all day!!! Whenever I get hungry... I grab a piece of gum Tongue out

really??  when I chew gum, I tend to get even MORE hungry.  I think it has to do with chewing, saliva production, and pissing my belly off for teasing it without giving it somethin'

If I drink diet ANYTHING I feel hungrier then when I started. Plus I despise the taste.

Usually just celery will work for me... something to nibble on and get the 'eating' motions without the calories.

I agree with the orbit gum - I like the new fruit and sangria flavors.

I can't drink diet soda, so I stick with iced tea, and I like to munch on cucumbers - for an added flavor I'll use red pepper hummus for a dip.

The artificial sweetners in diet sodas are notorious for making people more hungry.  It essentially defeats the purpose of diet soda.  MUCH better off drinking water.  It is a natural appetite suppresant and also helps keeps your metabolism going.

yeah if you drink a diet soda you might as well of had that cookie you were craving in the first place... because now your gonna go back and two of those witches.

I got an idea, tell me if this sounds good.

Take celery, diet soda, sugar free gum, hoodia, coffee, green tea, and a cucumber. Put them all in a blender and puree that beast. Sound like a good idea?

no really, if you get hungry your supposed to eat something. Thats why you get hungry. Just eat something that has just enough calories to ebb your hunger. This is why we have calorie count is it not?

I get like this as well. My belly goes 'You're going to feed me, eh?' and gets all excited about it, but nothing is getting eaten in essence so then it bitches for at least an hour afterwards.

I'm obsessed with tropical flavored Trident, though. People always ask me what smells so good and it's my mouth! Wink

I chew gum to stop the mindless eating that I used to do all the time.  If I am doing something in the kitchen I chew Orbit or Stride so I won't start popping things in my mouth.  It gives me a little sweet, and I know if I did want to eat anything it would taste bad until the gum flavor is gone!

Now they are even saying that those kinds of gum are good for your teeth, right!?  I know it helps me keep from being full before dinner even starts!

I agree, if you are truly 'hungry' then you should eat something. Eat a small snack, or a meal if it is meal time.

Now, if you are just bored....or in the mood to snack, then I would go for the gum. It helps me to not even think about food unless I am hungry.

have y'all heard about that new Think Gum someone from princeton/yale/other NE ivy league school came out with?

So I just bought some caramel chocolate tea, and it is sooo stong (i put some sweet n low in). Then i drank a cup of water. and wow trust me you will be so bloated that you wont want to eat anything else.

I actually find that now that I rarely drink diet sodas any more, it really does fill me up.  I never found myself experiencing the hunger that so many people say diet soda causes.
