American Idol

A new season is in full swing, did anyone else watch last night? Who did you vote for?

I watched and I didn't really like anyone to be honest... The only one that peaked my interest was the last guy (forgot his name) he sounded pretty good, but I really think it was his story of losing his wife that hooked me.  I hope the next group of people are better.

i didn't vote because i fell asleep, but i'm rooting for Anoop and Danny Gokey!

and the guy who sang early that they said had no star quality - he was pretty good

 i agree, and i think it's pretty crappy that they didn't show him at all until tonight, pretty much giving him no chance in hell, talented or not, against the people that they have been featuring all along.

I liked the same folks as you guys!  Guy w/no star quality (rolling eyes as I think he's cute!), girl with pink in her hair, Danny and Anoop.

The 16 yr old girl - the fist one they berated.. they were right man, the whole time she sang I was thinking "Please make it stop".

And the guy who did the Michael Jackson song.. not even close to as good as MJ.

Oh, and who else can't stand the Drama Queen with the laugh? What's her name? 

Tatiana is who they called a drama queen.

The worst for me was the girl who sang Every Little Thing by the Police. That's when I was saying Make it stop. ow. omg. :/

I liked it when Simon said, You should not have been allowed to sing that song.  Simon is a little mean, but he's usually right. 

My vote for this year is definitely Danny Gokey (sp?) and he has been for quite awhile now.

I also liked the indian guy (sorry his name escapes me right now.) who sung "Angel of Mine." He was really good.

The rest did ok, but I wasn't really impressed like I was with these two.

Anoop and Danny Gokey were the best,imo.

Tatiana: She's annoying, but had my attention last night. In comparion to some of the other girls it wasn't difficult to do " good " though. Last night though she wasn't as annoying as previously to me. She was actually better than I imagined possible.  At the same time Stevie Wright  and Casey Carlson did worse than I imagined. It was strange. >_<

The worst performances last night were:

Stevie Wright - You Belong With Me  ( She butchered that song beyond repair,imo. It was just so bad. )

Casey Carlson - Every Little Thing ( It was tragic. )

I just wanted to scream: " PLEASE, MAKE it STOP! "

Who else HATES the new format of the post poerformance interview with friends/family and performer?  It's a MESS.

Thank goodness for Tivo so we can FF thru the garbage!

Oh and I am tired of having to have an even nmbr of girls versus guys ... the guys are so far superior this year and its unfair that some guys aren't there due to balancing gender counts .... Danny's BFF Jamar was SO good and he so should be there over almost all the girls.

  I know, right. I don't understand. There were some guys that were far superior to the girls on last night booted right off. Jamar being a great example of talent getting the shaft due to gender. They need to do away with trying to keep it an equal number of girls vrs guys.

It's so unnerving she actually acts as if she's the typical beauty pageant phoney. The girl that makes a mockery out of the whole thing by saying stuff like  " WORLD PEACE... Omg.  i guess i'm a bad idol fan. i love idol, i vote and everything, but i was secretly hoping Sanjaya would keep going. i guess that's where the Idol fan in me clashed with the Howard Stern fan.
