American Idol...

I *heart* David Cook!  He's not the cutest guy in the world, but his voice is SO sexy and he's SO talented... He had me from "Hello"! Lol!  But I think he'll end up with better luck if he doesn't win.  Maybe he should go out fourth, like Chris Daughtry.  It worked for him!

Lol, for the record, I think he's kinda hot, too, but I also know I'm a wee bit influenced by his voice.  I don't think if I saw him in the mall, I'd do the hot guy head turn, but if I met him in a bar and we started talking, I'd definitely flirt with him. :-)

David A has a good voice, but for some reason he bores me... I think he'll be more interesting when he's older.

And I like Jason Castro too... He reminds me of the chill, fun stoner kids I knew in college! 

And yes, Kristy Lee should've left a LONG time ago!  I'm not a huge country fan, but she's not even good at country! And she's boring.  

I miss Daughtry.  I think his voice is the purest...  Glad he really got out there to sing

But David Cook's got some talent, I'll give you that.

Blech, I think I'm the only one who doesn't like David Cook!  Yeah, he's got a good voice, but to me it sounds exactly like every other "alternative rock" lead singer on the radio.  Maybe that's the point though...?

Anyway, I kind of like Jason Castro.  But it seems like my favorite keeps changing every week!

No one particularly stands out to me this season. However, my faves are David Cook and Jason Castro. I also think Syesha has a really good voice, but the problem with her is that she's forgettable.

It irritates me that Kristy Lee is still there. I think she has a really whiny and abrasive-sounding voice...

I find Brook White funny. She acts like a bible-hugger but doesn't take criticism well. After she sings, my dad and I just giggle even before the judges say anything.

I think Carly or Kristy should go. I was pissed when the hot Australian was booted instead of Carly who royally screwed her song. Also, has anyone seen her boyfriend? He's covered in tattoos and it looks creepy.

Actually I thought his rendition of "always be my baby" was a bit/very bad until I stopped comparing it to the original, Although I thought all of the mariah week performances were rancid but most of MC's songs are written to be unsingable so they did ok, non of the idols are doing anything new or exciting, but I guess its hard to come up with new ways to present other artists song and after awhile you either get sick of them "making the song their own" ,it sounds alien or they either over sing or sound unappealing , I'd hate to be an idol so much pressure and judgment, but I just get sick of them saying each year that "this might be the best top 12 yet"

I agree enzyme....in my opinion, this is one of the weakest top 10's...at least it is a LOT weaker than last year for sure

I agree with everyone.

1. David Cook is not as HOT as Daughtry, but HOT none the less
2. David A. is a good singer, but I don't think he has the maturity yet to make it in the business.
3. Kristy Lee I like as a country artist, but she's going to need a lot of fine tuning.
4. Jason Castro is just getting better and better and better each week.  This week he was really good.
5. I think Brook White should have gone home this week.  She will definitely make a name for herself after Idol with the whole singer/songwriter thing.
6. Carly, Carly, Carly - I don't like her.  She has already had a CD out and it bombed.   So I don't know how she is going to do after Idol.
7. I don't like Syesha either.  She tries to hard to sing the Diva songs.  She has no originality.

Well there is one thought on each of the Idols.  I don't think that this is anywhere near the best season.  I think the best season was the Carrie Underwood season with Daughtry.

 

I'm glad Kristy Lee is gone because she didn't have many good performances and was always in the bottom 3.

Jason Castro is kind of one-dimensional.  He does the same type of song/performance every week, sitting down, with that weird smiley-face thing he does.  If he made an album I think all of the songs would sound exactly the same and it would be boring.

Brooke White and her " gee golly...that's okay" attitude is nice and all, but I think she would have better success as a singer/songwriter.

I liked Carly in the beginning but she is becoming hit or miss lately.   She needs to work on her angry-face when she sings.

I think the right person definitely went home last night! about freakin time! i just can't believe the aussie guy went before her.

i found carly really obnoxious last night, when poor David A. sat down so he wouldn't have to pick and she was calling him over to her side. for crying out loud, we all knew which group was the bottom, but she could have at least been a little modest about it!

I agree Jules...syesha sings well but if you kinda sound like the big pop singers but are not as awesome, it leaves you kinda cold.

I totally agree about Syesha.  She's good, but not great.  And honestly, I've heard a lot of people saying how David C. sounds like every other alternative singer... But all the contestants sound like their genre of choice.  I think even though Simon makes a big deal about it being a singing contest, personality has a LOT to do with it.  If I'm going to shell out money to see any of these people in concert, they can't have the personality of a log of wood.  Syesha seems like a nice person, but totally boring, and with nothing particularly original coming out of her.  

I love Brooke... I see her as being a Sheryl Crow type of artist.

In any case, I'll also be kinda sad for every elimination after Syesha... I think all the idols left really bring something to the show.

But of course, David C. has my heart :-)
