Ana-no-more!

About Us
Those of us who have been anorexic know how hard it is to be in recovery. It's something we fight with every day for the rest of our lives. It's not enough for someone to tell us "Just shut up and eat!!" We have to do it ourselves and that's not easy. Every time we gain weight, and we do, we run the risk of that nasty Demon-Goddess Ana rearing her ugly head. We have to help each other and helping each other is wht this group is all about.

No longer a private group. All are accepted now.

I know overexcersing is bad for you, especially if you're not even close to being an athlete. I'm never gonna be a marathon runner...

userpic_951716_7e209e87bfecee223fc043d215e80368.jpg    Have you had experience with that nasty Ana -- the monster

known as anorexia?  Most of who are affected by this are teenage girls but what the media doesn't make known is that men and women of ALL ages suffer from this horrible disorder.  Usually our family doesn't understand us, often get angry with us, causing us more hurt and making us that much more vulnerable to anorexia than ever before when they tell us to just "Shut up and eat!!"  So we hide behind a mask hoping nobody will know our secret and hoping to emerge like a butterfly leaving behind the cocoon that was our former "fat self".

We all need to work together and since this web site is dedicating to helping us work toward  a more healthy lifestyle (not to mention that thin vision we all strive for) it is a perfect place to banish that evil demon from our lives forever.  If we were recovering from Cancer or another disease, the world would rally for us.  This disorder can only be understood by people who have lived with it.  Let's work together to make sure it isn't the problem in our lives that it has been in the past.
