Analysis Page help!!

Quote  |  Reply

I was wondering if there is a way to show a list of my total food for a day and their individual fat, carb, and protein content in my analysis.

For example, I was looking at my analysis for yesterday, and it was showing my fat%, protein% and carb%, among other things.  My fat% was higher than I anticipated, so I wanted to see a list of my foods with the fat, protein and carb content so that I can identify the culprit that I will need to cut back on in the future.  Currently when you go to the log page for the day it only shows grams and calories for each food item, I believe.  It would be so helpful to have the protein, carb and fat content included in the daily food log list to see what parts make up the whole % on the analysis page.

Can someone please let me know if there is a way to do this that I am not aware of besides looking at each food individually and writing it down on a piece of paper.

If there is not a way to do this, can I suggest that it be added?

Thanks!

The grade of an individual food is a good indicator that you should check it out closer.

I plan my menu before I could it, and use the analyser to decide if I really will cook that or not.  I know Molly Mouser has straight A's all the time, and that is what she does too.

To make suggestions, click on "Tell us what you think." right under the search button above.

I agree that the grade of an individual food is a good indicator that one should check it out closer.  However, a food may have a bad grade for reasons other than fat content.  It may have a B or lower because of sugar content, etc.

On the flip side, another reason I would want the list to include the individual carb, protein and fat content is so that I can see what items may be higher in certain aspects, such as protein.  If all my foods have A's, and I want to know which foods gave me the most protein, so that I can repeat the food in the future, then I would not know what foods to look at based on the grades alone, and would have to resort to checking every single food item and writing it down.

That is a good idea to enter in your food before you cook it to see how it will affect your analysis.  I will try to start doing this more often.  Usually I don't have things planned out that far in advance, and thus would need to look to my past to learn from it in planning on the future.
