So, when I looked at my analysis for today's intake, I noticed something a little strange.

Fat - 32.1% (44 grams)
Protein - 31.1% (96 grams)

Why are my percentages so close when my gram values are so vastly different? If this is a percentage of total intake, why would the ratio be different than 1:1?

A gram of fat has 9 calories, but a gram of protein only has 4 calories.  The percentages are based on calories, not weight.

And a gram of carbs has 4 calories also.
