My Analysis - What's wrong with it?
Can someone comment on what is the right percentages of fat-carbs-protein for a successful weight loss?
My analysis for today is fairly consistent with other days:
52.0 % carbs
25% fat
20.9 % protein
2.1 % other
Daily Sodium Intake - 2,119 mg
Daily Sugar Intake - 48 grams
Daily Cholesterol Intake - 125 mg
Daily Saturated Fat Intake - 13 grams
Daily Fiber Intake - 30 grams
Breakfast was 1/2 cup fiber one, a peach, and 1/2 cup skim milk.
Lunch was 1 cup Campbell's Gardennay Roasted Tomato Soup and a side preprepared spring mix salad with 1 tbsp fat free italian dressing, and 1 oz of cheese and a few tomato / cucumber slices.
Snack was some baby carrots and about 100 cals worth of dark chocolate.
Dinner was 1/2 cup wild rice, 5 oz chicken, 1/3 cup PC Blue Menu Tikka Masala Cooking Sauce.
Snack tonight is more baby carrots and 100 cals of popcorn.
I am going to be about 1200 cals by EOD but think maybe my carb intake is too high and sodium too, maybe?
Can someone help / comment on improvements I can make?
You have a great balance there. Your sodium is under 2400 and you are also fine
u should add how many grams of each u get... its next to the % of each of the major fuels. and i guess since ur only eating ~2200 mg sodium a day ur under the maximum, but I eat about the same and I eat 1000 more calories then u. so ratio of sodium to calories is high but idk if that matters as long as ur under 2400
I would add some protein somewhere, maybe nonfat/lowfat yoghurt. Otherwise looks good. Your high sodium is from the soup, sauce and probably the fat free dressing.
Looks good to me expect for saturated fat; you want to be less than 4g. Everything else in with in acceptable ranges. Depending upon your activity for the day, you might want more protein. CC recommends 50% carbs, 25% fat, 25% protein.
I have to agree about your intake on Saturated fat. Your sodium intake not really healthy .. salt holds in water. IMO your sugar is high .. if you ate more protein possibly you wouldn't crave sugar so much unless its natural sugar from veggies and fruit.
