about two months ago. i became aneroxic. i was 5 11, 210 pounds. 15 years old. I started eating at around 170lbs., but i watch my calorie intake and everything so much it drives me nuts. I take in about 0-1g of fat a day and anywhere from 200-700 cals a day. I know eating like this is bad. but i just can't get out of the mind set that i'm fat. Oh and i'm down too 158 now. but i have all this loose skin. I can strech it so much and i've had this for awhile now. i know just waiting will allow it to firm up again. but are there any specific excerices or viatims or something speical i can do to help speed this up?

Have you seen a doctor? I know anorexia can definately be tempting a hard to escape... but you know its bad for you. And there are other, better options

just waiting probably won't firm up the skin completely. definately ask your doctor about it all.. its the best way to get advice for something like this.

Anorexia is more than just losing your weight. You don't just 'become' anorexic.

oh it's not the weight loss. i stopped eating to get down to 170. and that's being anorexic.
hiei, our skin is an organ, and it is just as dependent on good nutrition as every other organ of our body, as well as our muscles and bones. the bad thing about a diet so low in calories is that you are depriving it of good nutrition. unless you are really loading up on the supplements, your body is probably deficient in a number of vitamins and minerals.
you need to confide in an adult (I suggest your mom) and ask for help to plan a good nutritious diet. You don't have to add calories all at once -- just a little at a time -- but the important thing is to start treating your body the way it deserves to be treated -- and that requires giving it good nutrition.
you definitely need more fat in your diet. you really need to focus on changing your attitude towards fat. you cannot be healthy without a certain amount of fat in your diet, and a certain % of fat on your body.

hiei676, You don't just become anoreixc. It's not a lifestyle change, you wake and decide to do.

Suzie and K8ie... I suppose this girl's problem isn't really worthy of anyone's attention just yet?
Shall we just wait until she is a living skeleton, that way we'll have visual proof of her body eating itself? She's got 2 out of the 3 defining characteristics of anorexia, so I think an actual "smart person" would try to support her in her decision to rectify the situation, not make her feel like she's a worthless person cause she's not DYING yet. Christ!
hiei676, you're right in thinking that this isn't good for you. You do not want to continue down this path, it will only become more and more difficult to overcome and will further destroy your body.
You will need a lot of support from your family and your friends to help you through this, even if your foray into this type of disordered eating began a few months ago. Please speak with your family and try to arrange to see a therapist to help you through these feelings of disatisfaction with your body. You should also see a nutritionist who can help you make a meal plan that will give you the right balance of all the nutrients you need. Good luck, honey!

I think it is in poor taste for anyone to say "you're not anorexic" and basically call up a list of qualifications to be anorexic. The contempt exhibited in some of the posts is horrifying at best.
Thinking that the best way to lose weight is by not eating is an anorexic tendency, and this is speaking from experience. For me, it started with this type of thinking at 130 pounds and eventually controlled every area of my life when I got down to 90 pounds. I am now 105 and am still controlled by eating, although things have gotten better.
Hiei676, your tendencies are toward anorexia. The sooner you get help, the less chance you have of developing full-blown anorexia and the easier it will be to recover. Weight is not the true indicator of anorexia, the mentality is.
See a doctor for some real, and probably much more helpful answers.

What the hell is wrong with you people? #uck you, to put it bluntly. Yea, you do become anorexic. It doesnt happen over night but it DOES happen and you do eventually become anorexic. Man, this girl has a problem. A real F**king problem and you want to pick at her? GROW UP.
Hun, the loose skin will go away when you begin to gain a little weight. As for other ways to treat it, there aren't many. Good luck to you and sorry that some of the people here have sticks up their butt.

loose skin is, sometimes, a result of fast weight loss.... gradual loss prevents the loose skin because it allows for the skin to shrink with the body... but since you are int he boat youre in... a doctor would be able to advise best as to wehre to go from here. good luck.
Lose skin does not usually just automatically firm right back up. In most cases, specially with a fast weight loss like yours due to the disease you have, the loose skin is pretty much there to stay.
Exercise can help. But in most cases, plastic surgery is the way to go.
Losing alot of weight fast is never healthy.
Losing weight by not eating is not healthy AND is screws your body up for a long time even after you start eating healthy again.
