Angry that my post got deleted!
It's not fair! The moderators are so mean to me! I mean.. it's true that I didn't follow the posting guidelines, but past that, I should be able to post anything I want and not have it deleted! In fact, I'm SO incensed about it, I'm going to post a public post complaining about overmoderation on the site! And I'm going to complain about all the complainers and whiners and tattlers instead of taking responsibility for posting what I posted!

Here is a link to the thread. My post replying to Mr. Kellick is still there, post #46. Mr. Kellick's original post was originally either 43 or 44. It has been removed.

Let me make things clear. Posts don't only get deleted if they are reported. The moderators are here for a reason. We are always on the lookout for any posts that are against any of the Posting Guidelines - most of which were never reported in the first place. When people report threads or posts, they are simply helping the mods catch stuff that we might have missed. Also, threads and posts don't always get deleted just because they were reported. If something is reported, but is found not to be against Posting Guidelines, then it is left as is.
Secondly, CC members don't get "kicked off" simply because they have alot of people complaining about them. Otherwise anyone could get anyone kicked out by simply having all of their friends complain about them. This is not how things work. These things are decided by the site administrators based on lots of things. But random complaints are not one of them.
I think these are several things that people have gotten confused on. I hope this clears things up a bit.
