Annoyed by large chested friend

Quote  |  Reply

I have a friend who has big breasts, around D or DD, she's been that way for as long as I can remember (since middle school).

She annoys me because she refers to every woman who isn't a D or DD as being flat chested, including me. Now, I may not have huge breasts but I am no where near being flat chested, I have perky firm C cup breasts that fit my frame and I am fine with that. I never cared about having huge boobs, and don't mind when they get even smaller when I'm thinner.

I know it comes from insecurity because she made a comment that she wants a breast reduction. But seriously she doesn't have to drag other women down by referring to us as flat chested because our breasts aren't as large as hers

Where I come from mountains are at least 7,000 feet high.  Anything lower is called a hill.  That puts the appalachian mountains in the hill catagory.  Yet the appalachians are considered one of the great mountain ranges in the world.  To me, hill, is not an insult.  It is a comparative statement of fact and I mean no insult by the word.

Next time your friend disparages your more modest mountains just look her in the eye with a smile and say "the highest summit doesnt always have the best view".

I think a C is the perfect size. I want a C cup so bad! Haha. I'll probably be down to an A cup soon.... ouch.

It's "hee-il", not "hill."  Wink

I know women that have paid good money for C cups.

She's probably jealous of your size....you said she wants to get a breast reduction? Take as a compliment then because she apparently wants to be "flat-chested." I don't think C cups are flat-chested at all, but to her C cups must seem much smaller than hers.

Don't be offended.

Also, I have a friend who's not really even an A cup, and she thinks my boobs are humongous. They're really not (I'm a 34C which I think is perfect!), but to her, they seem huge. It's just all relative.

This is win right here.

By the way, C cup is no where near small or flat. In fact it's more on the larger side. I'm a DD cup and I wish I was a B, I bet your friend does too, but instead of just being mature, she's jealous and a bit bitter about those who do have it. Seems a bit petty, imo.
Large boobs can make the thinnest person look fat. :P

I'm a 34DD, and let me tell you, I'm not happy. They are nice, they look good, but so do smaller ones.

If I'm in bed reading, I have to go put on a bra.

I have to wear two sports bras just to run, which really puts me off.

I find that clothes that fit around the chest don't fit around the waist, and vice versa.

And unwanted attention is just that: unwanted!

Next time she says that, just tweek them very hard. She'll soon learn not to mention boobs then!

Reminds me of the time I went for a physical (I was in my early twenties). I mentioned to my Dr that I thought I had felt a lump when doing a self exam, so she checked and commented that I was on the smaller chested side.

In my head, I was like "what?? I am?". You'd think my size (32A) would've been a dead giveaway, but apparently, no.

The lump I felt? Turned out it was my ribs Embarassed

I find this to be among one of the most offensive posts I've read. Sadly I've seen it before. I'm a DD and nowhere near looking fat. I suppose I should put this in the other thread.

I have a friend like this.   She's probably around a D, and I like to think of me as 'Light B', lol.  Whenever she mentions how she wouldn't be able to STAND having such a SMALL chest, I always joke that at least gravity can't take my chest too far when I get older ;)

To the OP: Imagine how horribly embarrassing it must have been to be so heavily-endowed since middle school. Your friend's teasing is a result of years of being, at once, defensive about her size and programmed by the response she generates because of it.

Her self-image has been shaped by formative years of boys noticing her chest first, perhaps even commenting on it, at a time when the only opinion that matters is that of boys.

While I don't think big (or small) breasts give anyone permission to be rude, I understand how she came to the place she's at.

Ummm CPTbunny's post was not offensive at all. Your boobs can make you look bigger than you are sometimes. I'm not huge (34C) but if i wear like a babydoll top or a dress that isn't tight anywhere but my boobs, yeah, I look bigger than I am. I know I'm not as fat as I'm coming off to be, so I try to buy clothes that flatter my figure.

How can you speak for everyone???? It WAS offensive to me. I don't look fat because of my breasts. I have a gorgeous figure and everything I wear looks good. I got it from my mama. So to say that women look fat because their breasts are large is insulting to me. If you look fat in certain clothing then that's too bad for you. To generalize all large breasted women is insensitive.

It's not insensitive. It's the truth.

Maybe she needs to have precisely this pointed out to her. It's not a method of comparison she's doing. It's a hurtful (and exaggerated) statement.

"Fat" is subjective in this case. Therefore it's opinion, not truth.

Truth: Breastasus don't make the woman.

She said CAN. CAN make the thinnest person look fat. Not DOES. She didn't say "every skinny woman with big breasts looks fat".  I have DDD now and DD back when I was thin, and I could look a lot larger than I was because of my chest. So yes, big boobs on a thin person CAN make them look fat. Nothing about her post was offensive.
