Annoying Splenda ads

I don't have an issue with the ads on CC. I realize that is how great sites like this stay in business and some are informative.  But the recent "Splenda" (yellow expanding) ad is a problem. It expands over the page and if looking at images in profiles the ad stays and won't go away. I would suggest the web designers carefully test these ads to make sure they work and retract properly.

This seems to be a problem.  Personally I have never even seen this ad, but a  lot of other members have a problem with it.

My suggestion get an ad blocker, if you have firefox, they have a free one that you can use.

I agree 100%! These are very annoying and usually make me want to quite reading posts because I've had to retract the Splenda ad one too many times to keep my sanity!

You mean like the one that I accidentally clicked on twice before managing to hit the reply link without expanding it? I actually take issue with the slogan "...no one can resist. Not even you." It seems counterintuitive to the purpose of this site and rather like it's mocking us. That is, aside from the fact that I end up clicking on them EVERY TIME I try to move my mouse across the page. This is particularly annoying on my smaller screen. Maybe a cookie system where once you've expanded it, you can opt out of doing so over and over.
