Annyone else addicted to cheese?

Quote  |  Reply
I think this may be my downfall.. I LOVE cheese. My perfect meal is fresh chunky tomato marinara, Pasta (wheat is fine) and a crap- load of cheddar cheese.

I'm serious its my addiction I have a hard time trying not to eat it. Also, I crave cheese when I'm hungry. So I will just go to the fridge and cut off a hunk and eat it. I have had days where I eat nothing but cheese, cheddar, mozz & jack.

What can I do about this?

all dairy products have casomorphins, a natural opiate.  cheese has more than other dairy foods, and the softer (fatter) cheeses have the most.  so cheese truly is addictive, and it's unlikely that nonfat or low-fat cheese will satisfy your cravings.

me, i just try to keep the portions small (10-15g).  and i rarely bring brie home, because if it's in the house, i can't stop.

I love love love love love cheese!!  Melted on pasta is definitely one of the best ways to eat it.  My problem right now (as a newbie to this 'healthy eating' stuff) is that I am having a really hard time eating salads without loading on the cheese.  I suppose I shouldn't have it in the house at all, but that sounds like a sin as well.  And, since a sin is a sin, might as well have it....!    : )
rvaught what I do is pick cheeze with ALOT of flavor.  Like Romano.  And also grate it up and sprinkle it around.  Gets the flavor everywhere and doesnt get lost in the salad.

I myself, I love cheese so much that I use a mouse as my buddy list Icon for AOL and I moved north to be nearer Wisconsin  ::half joking::  ~ Lost Artist
