Hi everyone
I just turned 16 last Friday, I'm 159/160 cm tall and I weigh about 44 kg in the morning. My mother says I was anorexic earlier this year... but I'm not sure if I was. I certainly was thinking about my weight and food a lot, but still. At my lowest point I weighed 41 kg. I did a lot of sports- about 1-2 h of Pilates/Kickboxing per day. Now my family is still pressuring me to put on weight, but I feel fine. My mom restricts my sports- I'm only allowed to do Pilates twice a week.
I admit I'm still unsure about what I can eat to maintain my weight. At lunch I prefer eating just a salad because I don't know what I can eat in order to not get any fatter.
Another thing is my menstruation. Before my whole weight thing, it happened that it didn't come for 2 months in a row, then it would come again. Last September it stopped altogether and I haven't had my period since. My mom says I have to keep gaining weight until I get it back. This scares me.. what if it's not just my weight that keeps my menstruation from coming?
My breasts are very small, 32A. They started growing when I was 13 and never really continued. I was wondering about that even before my eating disorder, but now I'm just hopeless. Will they grow?
Argh.. Eating disorders suck. Please help!!
Reason: Promotion of starvation diets or habits that exhibit signs of an eating disorder ("pro-ana", "pro-mia", etc.) is prohibited
Based on your stats you should be focused less on getting your breasts to grow and more on restoring your weight to a healthy level. Your BMI is only 17.2 and you should be gaining still. You are 16 and your internal organs are developing, which means you need to fuel your body to ensure proper growth. Please eat a weight gain amount and worry more about your healthy rather than your physical appearance. When you gain weight you will also gain the womanly physique, including breasts but with you being underweight your body is trying to ensure survival not reproduction, which is what breasts are for.
