How many calories are in a shot of Tequila? It is the same as vodka, rum or gin?

You're welcome. As far as I can tell, you have to compare the proof. So if you're looking at 80 proof vodka, it's the same calories as 80 proof tequila. If you're drinking tequila, have one for me! *smacks lips*

Good question, it was one of my first questions also, except for me - Voka and wine.  I was pleased to see a lot of the helpful info right in this cc about.com web site.  It's cool that you can actually compare a bunch of alcohols (and foods) and compare.  So far it seems that wine and liquor can be a lot better than beer and mixers.  So I guess I'll stick to my vodka with a splash of diet.
