Another annoying burn meter/calorie target question..
Oh hi.
So, I'm obviously just wondering what I should set my burn meter to. It's at sedentary right now, but I'm not sure that's right. I run 4-5 km (2.5-3 miles) five times a week, but for the rest of the day, I'm usually sitting and such.
Also, I'm 1 pound away from my first goal of 180 lbs, and I would like to reach it by the 22nd of February. I'm 19 years old and 5'8". The calorie target at this point says I should be eating 1400 cals. Does that seem a little low?
Suggestions would be mucho appreciated :)
there's a different calulator for ppl under the age of 21. Even by going by age 21 stats, 1400 is too low. Stats if you use the calulator for over 21 would put your BMR at 1630 and burn at about 2400. Pound a week would be to eat 1900 cals. I use http://www.phord.com/cc/
Based on http://www.kidsnutrition.org/bodycomp/bmiz2.h tml which is the calculator link in the young CC section you burn about 2500 calories . So 1 pound a week loss would be to eat 2000 calories.
pretty close to being the same numbers lol. Either way 1400 is too low :)
thanks!
