Another "burn meter" question

Quote  |  Reply

My burn meter estimate is around 1500. If I eat 500-700 less like I should to lose weight, I will be undereating. Correct? What should I do?

Except you should not eat less than 1200 (assuming you are female - if male, not less than 1500).

Is your burn meter 1500 for the entire day? (i.e. the "total estimate" at the top of the box) I ask because 1500 sounds really low, even for a sedentary person. But if 1500 is your total burn, the best thing for you to do is get active and burn more calories through exercise. For example, if you burned an extra 300 calories a day, you could eat 1300 and still lose a pound per week. The answer is definitely not to drop below 1200, because your body won't be getting the proper nutrition.
