Another 10-15lbs group
Hi, I would like to get in shape for the summer...I am currently in college and have gained a bit more weight than I would have liked to:) I am 5'3 and weigh 143lbs...would love to go down to 125lbs or so over the course of the next few months and would love to hear from anyone else with the same situation?
I could certainly do with some motivation...someone to chat to when Im contemplating a chocolate binge:)
Is it too late for me to join?? Im also a college student.. ill be graduating in a couple of months and im also looking to lose 10-15 pounds (to start with).

So after a good weigh in on Friday, I believe I blew it this weekend. Although I'm now rather focused because I'm disappointed in myself. I start a new session of Bootcamp today and hopefully this will be another good week for me!

I belong here.I had a baby 3 months ago(!Seems like yesterday!).Am 181 lbs and 5.4
I need to loose 15 pounds in the folowwing months and also some disgusting looking stomach overhang :( .Looking for motivation.
Still doing good today. I actually didn't eat bagels at our morning meeting. Restraint is my biggest weakness. The tough part about this week is that we are going to eat out a lot. All because our kitchen is torn up so it is harder to cook healthy meals. I will just have to try to eat mostly veggies out, but it is hard!
sorry took so long, I'm at 140.4. Could be better, but this past weekend was terrible with BBQ's and all that food. I gotta get back on track and hit the gym.
i am soooo worried about the weigh in on friday - i seem to have fallen off the wagon again - not that i exceed my cal intake daily, but i've been drinking too much...one of the bad things about living in scandinavia when the sun is out.. and i worry that i'm forgetting to log accurately and it seems that my deficit ends up being around 100-200...not nearly enough to lose weight, right? and i'm still waiting for my running shoes, that i'm hoping will make my runs more efficient than they are now...gotta say though, that i loooove running... well, three more days to go (and a barbecue and a party at my daughter's kindergarten in between)---

I've actually been back to counting calories (after just not bothering during exams) since May 19th and have lost 2 lbs already and I'm trying to lose maybe 6-8 more before I go home for vacation at the end of June... I'm 21, 5 4", 128 lbs (down from 130 woo-hoo) I know it would motivate me more if I could talk to people who are going through the same thing I am. ![]()

ok, i was BAD yesterday nite .Boo hoo.Today is a fresh new day.I choose to eat healthy and work out today.Here is what i am doing today:
Cardio - 30 min treadmill on the treadmill-alternate walk and jog laps. , 20 mins on the bike during my lunch break.
Strength Training at the Y in the evening - 30 mins on the Strive circuit.
Is that enough is what i ask myself. ?I have so much to loose.
newmom - i think it sounds great that you're back on track - i'm sure you'll be fine, as long as you don't overwork yourself, and then get sick of all the excercise... "see" you on friday :-)
Gosh I miss you guys! This is my first log in since I left for our family vacation last Saturday. There is no scale in sight around here. Calorie counting has definately gone out the window. I started to keep a hand written log the first day, but I got behind too quickly.
I think I should be staying about even on weight. We've had 3 straight days of Orlando theme park visits. Obviously tons of walking in heat that is in the upper 90s. We skimp on food during the day b/c theme park food is awful. At dinner though, I feel really hungry and tired and heroic for finishing out such a killer day so I load up on food and wine.
Glad to see the interest of the new members. ****emargoooble*** please give us your current weight and height if you'd like to be posted on the chart that we update.
I'll be back home by Sunday. i'll update the chart then if it hasn't been done by then by someone else. That will also be my weigh-in date for wk 3.
snehvide - I totally get how drinks go hand in hand with denmark's culture, but BBQ? I'm from Texas so that gave me a giggle. Have a great time. Drink iced tea!

A little worried about weigh in tomorrow. Had two day long conferences in a row and it is hard to count when you haven't made the food yourself. I made it though I think. Too much snacking at night, a pretzel here, a cracker there. I kid myself that they are just "bites" but then 8 pretzels (sometimes dipped in peanut butter) does add up! I just need to restrain myself knowing dinner is coming soon, any helpful hints on hunger while you are cooking?
hey smader - ladies.
i will usually make an afternoon snack for my daughter that consists of a plate of mixed veggies, and i make an extra handful for myself for later to munch on if i get hungry making dinner.
and Hasta - it sounds like you are having a lovely time with your family- I'm sure all your walking is paying off :-) perhaps it's a good thing not having a scale handy, it could ruin your vacation...
and yes...lol...we do barbeques here - not all snow and glaciers ;-) Actually the summer is really warm and wonderful this year and everyone seems to be barbecuing as if life depended on it... so did i today, but i only drank water :-) -still cheated and stepped on the scale this morning, and it wasn't pretty...but, i'll see tomorrow
hey girls, not looking forward to the weigh in tomoro, i finished uni for summer on tuesday and havnt stopped celebrating so diet went out the window alittle bit...i had double the amount of cals yesturday and only went to the gym for the first time this week today ahhh not good.
its good to know theres a few others goin thru the same tho, im back on track today lets hope there aint too much damage. fingers crossed! cu all 2mo xx
I succumbed to the temptation.......damn chocolate covered peanuts are killin me!! why did my husband have to bring home a whole bag??? but they taste so good. not very optimistic for tomorrow but i'm gonna exercise tonight after dinner....maybe :)
