Another Mile Stone I have accomplished!
Must share my newest accomplishment....I am officially in the 130's...barely but it counts! I am at 139! I haven't been this low in 5 years! Not only is the weight getting lower, but I am very healthy with all I have learned with all your help fellow CC members!
I am 44 and I just ran my first race in over 25 years and I finished 11th in my division and 501 out of 8000 overall! I couldn't have done it without the knowledge I have learned at this site.
Thank you all and remember keep chatting it is the BEST support system....we can all help each other reach our goals!
Congratulations! That must feel great!
Very well done..you must feel great and deserve to. You are adopting the correct approach setting smaller milestones on your "journey" and what better milestones than...
lowest weight for 5 years
in the 130's
running and achieving great results
feeling healthy
You will continue to succeed with this attitude..and deserve to, well done
congrats 5427 on reaching the 130's. you must be on cloud nine. hard work does pay off and is worth it. keep up the good work and the lifestule change. congrats on the placement in race. first one in 25 yrs. wow. you did great really great...
Congrats on the 130's and the race! That must feel amazing!
I am going to a cookout in a few hours and was worried about stuffing my face. You will be my inspiration for today! I am excited for the day that I announce I am in the 140's!
Thank you for your kind words everyone! And Mmaynar1.....you can do it....have a great time at the cookout but just keep your focus on what is REALLY important to you. You will be so proud of yourself if you can leave that cookout with staying in your limits!
I just spent the day at a baseball game and than out to dinner with my family and friends and I completely stayed in check with my limits....it does help to hit these small mile stones and it seems to give me an extra push to keep going.
Also FYI to all: I received a compliment by a friend of my husband's right in front of him and the gentlemen hasn't seen me in a while and he said you can tell you really look great and really in shape.....boy did that make me feel good. Please everyone if you see someone looking good tell them....you really can make there day!
I am new to CC and just received your exciting update. In the 130's and the race. What great encouragement and inspiration for me! Heartfelt congratulations!!
I am 135 and want to get to 125.....and get fit. For me, I need to watch portions and to start walking (and just stop talking about it and do it).
Congrats again...
congratulations both on the weight loss and on running that race!!! I hit 139 a few months ago and IT FELT AWESOME :) so I know how you feel. I fell off the bandwagon (and got back on) after seeing those numbers on the scale so be sure to remain vigilant!
Wow! I am pumped , is sounds like you have been very dedicated to the task.
I hope I can do as well.
Thanks fellow CC's members....I appreciate you kind words! It is nice to share these small mile stones with others that are in the small bag....people I am around are happy for me but they just don't realize how hard this is to do...and it does make me feel great sharing with other CC memebers.
Also another highlight: yesterday I maped out 6.2 miles for myself to practice for my next race on July 4th. I was surprised how well I ran it for a first time: 58.38 min (9.4 about per mile)....I was completely amazed! If I had not dropped the pds off I doubt my time would have been so good for my first time doing it.
Hang in there everyone....it is amazing how much stronger and healthier you will be getting in shape and losing the weight. I really do feel like some iron chains have been cut off on me!
I'm excited for u, all the more so since u inspire me to tighten up my motivation to reach similar goals for myself. May 2 I turned 46 (can it really be?!?) and I will be finishing my masters this summer after going back to college 5 years ago (with full time work). Due to the stress of college and lack of quality exercise time I put on 20 lbs. after being a good 15 lbs. overwt at 140 only 5 yrs. ago (I'm 5'2''). So, being a little discouraged that I can take this weight off in a timely manner - I read your post, and must say I feel refreshed in my determination and commitment to take off this unnecessary layer of fat with a pro-fit food and exercise program.
Keep up the gr8 work for your own wellness and motivational posts for the rest of us. I look forward to share my own successes.
Etie44- You can do it! If you work full time and finishing a Masters....you can do anything! Hang in there and keep chatting with all of us.
Bravo!
