Anybody else annoyed with the ADS on CC?

I know that all websites need some amount of advertisement, and that naturally it makes sense for a site called caloriecount to have ads revolving around weight loss... but I have begun to feel like we're being sent mixed messages.  While this is supposed to be a site where one can lose weight in a healthy manner with lots of love and support yadayadayada... I feel borderline provoked by the advertisements on the right side of my browser.

Look there now.  What do you see?  An oversized woman stuffed into a one piece with a slogan on the bottom saying if you just take this pill you'll like... this!  The slim slim slim woman fresh from the Photoshop with no relation whatsoever to her supposed "BEFORE" picture???  If not, I'm sure it's something close. 

What I'm not sure about, is what exactly I'm supposed to be absorbing from it all.  Don't ads usually speak louder than disclaimers?

Much has been said about the ads found here. I was puzzled and annoyed at first, now my reaction is to laugh and laugh. One of the before pictures is clearly a pregnant belly- I'm pretty sure the fix for that has nothing to do with what they're selling and I know about these things. Another favorite is the ad that has the chocolate chip cookie jumping into my screen saying mmmmm..... don't you want one right now? or something to that effect. Seriously? On this site? Who does your product placement and how much are you paying them?

Block them? No way!
