Anybody else really booooored at work? *snore*

Mmyes. I think the title of the post speaks for itself. It's not even 8, and I'm already turning to C-C for a boredom cure. I don't have as many snacks planned this morning (because I'm going out to dinner tonight), soooooo, my munchiness isn't helping!

I guess I could...um.....whistle a tune. *whistles*

And my attractive co-worker (who happens to be a personal trainer) isn't here yet! No eye candy!

Hey Lizzle, you're a nursing student, right?  I've been thinking about going back to college and getting a degree in nursing.  Do you like it?  My cousin is a nurse at a hospital (cardiac, I think) and she is so burned out.  She says it's a bad idea, but I think I'd like it.  I'd want to work with cancer patients, and there is a renowned cancer hospital where I live.  I'm just scared if I go back to school, I'll find out I hate it as much as I hate geology!

Thanks flgirl!  I'm stuck on a plateau right now, so I'm kinda frustrated.  I was just thinking last night that I should start logging all the time I carry Cole around.  He always wants to be held, and he's about 20 pounds now.  No wonder my arms are always so sore! :)

Cecil, I want to go to Nursing School too! Hard with kids tho, I have 2! I'm a CNA right now and that's just a certificate... hard work! I  hope you can do it, I'm waiting until my kids are both older, they're 12 and 7 now....

I've heard 8 Below is good, but I haven't seen it either.

We're going to see either Little Miss Sunshine or Scoop. I'm going with a girlfriend. (Strangely, neither of us wants to see Beerfest!)

Yay! I think it's a very promising field, personally. I love school and learning, so every day seems like a new challenge to me. Keep in mind, when you're a nurse, you're not limited to mainly hospital work. You can work at a clinic, private office, school, the military...

Personally, I'm probably going to become a nurse practitioner. But we'll see how the schooling progresses. :)

It won't be too hard for me.  My husband is a paramedic/firefighter.  Well, he's in the academy still, but will graduate in November.  He's already certified, he just has to finish classes.  They only work about 9 days a month in Houston, so he's already planning to get a side job.  I'll have all the time in the world to go back.

My husband said I should think about working in the ER, but I don't think I could deal with all the non-emergencies that end up there.  I think I'd like to work in a hospital first because I'd have several days off in a row to be with Cole.  My cousin worked at night so she could be with her daughter all day long.  But I have to go back to school before I start making plans! :)

I just finished graduate school in May. I was so impressed with all my classmates who have kids. I can't imagine juggling work, school, a husband and children. I was busy enough with just the first three, which can be manuevered around each other pretty easily. Children...I get the impression they will not be manuevered!

How are you?

That's what I always wondered.  She'd sleep until around noon everyday, but I think her husband would drop their daughter off at her grandparent's house in the morning before work.  At the time he was working for his dad, so he could just take her with him, or to my aunt's house.  She was pretty close, too.  Now he has his own business, so he spends a lot of time at home.  Of course, the "baby" is going to be 20 in two weeks, so it's not an issue anymore.  That's where I'm lucky, too.  My mom lives 4 miles away from me, so she can watch my son anytime.  I'm just worried that if I do go back to school, I'll never see Joe, especially if he's working two jobs. 

You sure are bubbly today Kirs, rub some of that on me will ya?

Booooooooooored! I didn't get enough sleep, either. And I'm going out with Matthew tonight. So. I'm thinking I'll work out RIGHT after work, then come home, have lunch, and naaaaaaaap before we go out. I'm such an old lady.

i have a few problems right now:

1. There was (past tense...i killed him) a GIANT spider on my wall
2. I have an extrememly sore neck/back
3. I have a headache
4. I just noticed that my arms are different sizes (not lengths...one is thinner)
5. IM BOORED!
