So my last plateau was 152....After not exercising for a week, and cutting my calories than my normal intake, I defeated the plateau...
Soo now I've been stuck at 143.2 since like wednesday. Only 3 lbs to go (Argghhh)
But I was wondering if anyone else experiences a plateau after so many lbs of lost?
I'm just going to walk 30 mins a day and eat lower calories and then continue my exercise regimen thursday...I should be somewhat lighter by then, hopefully.

Keep up the positive attitude aeromancer and those 3lbs will come off before you know it!
I was pretty much at a plateau for 18 days. One day I may have been under and one day over, but the scale was pretty much stuck at one number for the past 18 days. It was frustrating. Finally, I changed up my work out routine, ate better, and didn't eat after 8p for a couple of nights and then I busted through the plateau. I am a 5'10" female and I eat between 2000-2400 calories per day. I mostly walk/jog on the treadmill 45-60 min 6/7 days week and do some weight lifting. I have a final 10 lbs to lose.
How did you change your w/o routine? I think I am at a plateau. It has been 5 days. So, I added fastwalking/jogging to my hiking routine. Did you add more time to your w/o?
I hit plateaus around every ten lbs. Some last a few days, and one lasted a few weeks. The weird thing is-- it always happens right when I'm about to move into a new number range (meaning I am at say 181 and can't get down below 180 for a while). So everytime I see a new number in that second spot it feels like a HUGE acheivement lol.
I have had the same problem it seems like every ten pounds is starting over. It drives me crazy!!!!!!!! glad I am not the only one...
I changed my workout routine by changing the walk/jog interval times on the treadmill and I messed with the incline and the speed. I also used the recumbent bike as a warmup, spent 10-15 min on the stairstepper, did some rowing on a rowing machine one day, worked out new muscles with the weights. Some days I added time to the workout (went from 45 min to 60 min cardio) but then I think I overdid it b/c my knee started to hurt for a couple of days (it recovered luckily). Overall, I believed all of this would work. I was trying all kinds of different things to shake it up a bit. I think a lot of it was mind over matter and positive thinking which really did the trick. Probably not eating so late also helped when I stepped on the scale the next day.
Wow this is interesting.......I was stuck in a plateau about 10 lbs ago also after an initial 26lb loss.....Now I am stuck again and I am soooo angry.
I am trying everthing I did before and it isnt working yet,
My last one lasted 3 weeks.

QUESTION
I had lost 7 lbs over three weeks, then hit a plataeu and stopped all loss for 12 days. I have increased my workouts to include more aerobic activity and kept calories the same . . . Will I pull out of it?
I am in the same position! About two months ago I started watching what I eat and started being more acitve and working out. I was at 155 lbs and now I am stuck between 139 and 142. My goal is 130 and I can't get under 139 I have been this way for about one week. I have just started to push myself to do more cadio to see if that helps. Any more suggestion!!
