Is there anybody that lived  in your town that is famous?

I have a funny story. I worked at retail store in the 1970's and I was helping this friend of mine move into her house. The girl that was living with her showed me a picture of her and this guy. Later I remarked to my friend how  much older  the guy looked than her roomate. My friend said that he was her uncle. Then she said "Didn't you recognize him?" I said no!  She then told me Mary Ann's uncle is Martin Sheen!

People from my area- Agnus Moorehead,Dave Chappel,Rob Lowe

I live in St.Louis too,  i worked on Chuck berry's computer years ago and got to hang out with him for a couple hours in my shop. It was just after the Rams won the Superbowl and we hung out while his PC was loading a new OS and just chatted about sports and cars. it was really pretty cool.

Also my daughter goes to the same Highschool that John Goodman went to, hes donated a bunch of money to have the footbal field re-done and had a student lounge put in and other stuff, he also has a Irish Pub style restaraunt nearby. I actually met him at a college party in the 90s in Springfield MO (hes an Alum) let me tell you, that man can DRINK SOME BEER!
Keanu Reeves - Vancouver, BC

I live in Nashville, so Shania Twain, Carrie Underwood, Bo Bice, Cheryl Crowe, Reese Witherspoon, Jo Dee Messina, Billy Ray and Miley Cyrus, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, Wynonna, Ashley Judd and Dario Franchitti, Darrell Waltrip, Josh Turner, Taylor Swift, and the list goes on..... and on........

Shania Twain isn't from Nashville originally though - she is from Timmins.  :)

I highly doubt anyone from my hometown, but I have met Marie Osmond and her Nephew. I worked at a pet store...oh so many years ago...and she came in at closing to get something for her daughters' dog and I ended up selling her a whole fishtank set up for one child and a guinea pig/setup for one other.  It was funny actually because at first I wasn't sure if it was her.  Until a co-worker said something in the midst of it all. I felt stupid.  She was really nice though.  As far as the nephew goes (Donny Osmond's son) I took his MIssionary pictures at a swanky photography studio I happened to work at. ...again had no idea until afterwards.  :]

Oh wait..I've got one more.  Brandon Flowers from the band "The KIllers".  He wasn't born in my hometown (Nephi, UT), but I went to school with him there.  Small, rural town in central Utah.

That's all I've got.

Don't tell anyone, but...Richard Simmons went to the college in my hometown.  In my area I can add Sammy Kershaw and numerous athletes I could care less about.

Senator John McCain has a home in the area -- maybe 20 minutes from me.  Its not his main AZ residence but he does visit it on occassion.  I just keep thinking if he does become POTUS this town is going to be like Bush's TX ranch town during holidays LOL

Curt Schilling (Pitcher for Boston) went to community college and got his start at the same college my hubby teaches at.

My sister graduated with Nick Nolte.

I am a direct decendent of a signer of the Declaration of Independence

This isn't quite the same but Agatha Christie is buried in my local church yard

I live in a little village, no one famous, except maybe the 3 legged dog.
After reading #48 I remembered Vince Lombardi is buried a couple of rows from my Aunt and Grandmother's graves.

Oh, yeah, I just remembered, Burle Ives used to come in here on a helicopter to stay for vacation. (For you youngsters: He was a singer but you probably know him from narrating Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.)

Jimmy Carter likes to fish near here. My mom saw him and Rosalind in the grocery store.

Pretty lame, I know.

Jennifer Garner is from Charleston, WV, which is 10 miles from my hometown (I don't live there anymore, though).

I know there are many from around my hometown, but these are my brushes: I grewup with the boys from Ween, dated one actually, Saw David Bowie roaming around town several times, because he often visited and stayed in town with 'friends', my father raced with Paul Newman and we hung out (read: drank beers in his mobile) with him one day, I saw George Thorogood many times in town.  Pink grew up in the neighboring town, but I didn't meet her, yet. My friend knew Gwen Staffani and Bam lives not too far away - just saw his limo the other day and heard he got into trouble recently in my hometown.
OH and my friend is a realtor and sold Sally Jesse Raphael her house and George what's his face from LIVE went house hunting with him as well.  He never did introduce me, darn it.
OH and the Berensteins from Berenstein Bears are locals.

Bernie Kosar is from my town..

Kelly Pavlik is from my town as well..
Off topic, as he isn't from my hometown- and I'm not even a fan of his football team (Just his looks- haha).. But I talked to Matt Leinart on the phone about 5 months ago!

I am from Phoenix... The list of famous people that have lived here (especially athletes) is probably too long to name. Laughing

Alice Cooper is a big deal here though. Tongue out

oh yeah and Charles Schultz was burried in the graveyard next to my old school.
