Does anybody have any ideas about how to count this?
I usually drink Almond Breeze almond milk, which is 60 calories per cup. Today, I bought almonds and used 1/2 cup blanched almonds and 3 cups of water to make my own almond milk.
If I were to go by the numbers on the can of almonds, my homemade milk would be 106 calories per cup, but since in the process, I had to filter the milk and remove the pulpy excess (which was a substantial amount), I feel like it ought to be less calories. How can I account for the loss of almond pulp mass?

Thats a toughie! With the calories mostly coming from fat, Im not sure how much fat would be removed in the pulp removal process but I would think the majority of calories would remain behind. Its a guess though - really hard to say.
