Does anybody have personal expereience of calorie cycling?
I have lost 36 lbs in two months on 1800 cals plus 40 mins walking daily. But for the last two weeks my weight has hovered around 315.
My calorie deficit has been about 1500 per day.
Does this just mean my metabolism has adjusted to this regime? Is calorie cycling likely to get the metabo going again?

Possibly. I try to eat one "cheat meal" a week ( I didnt always do this) and it seems to be working I think it's because the more you eat the more your body feels the need to burn. So when you go back to your normal regine your body is still burning what it was when you were eating your cheat. At least think that's how it works. I could just be terrible confused....:). Did I answer your question?

It could be. Before going to much lower with your calories, do you think you could up your work-out a bit? You are doing such a good job and you don't want to become to hungry. Good Luck

I've been zig-zagging my calories for about the past four months and it has worked really well for me. I do the following: Sun 1700, Mon 1500, Tues 1500, Wed 1700, Thurs 1500, Fri 1900, Sat 1500. I like that its different most days and Fridays we go out and I can order almost anything I want.
I have two suggestions for you: 1) try zig-zagging and use the link posted in #2, and 2) be careful with your calorie deficit - you don't want it to be consistently more than 1000 calories per day. It's ok if this happens once in awhile but if your average if 1500 your body might try holding on to the calories you take in and it might slow down your weightloss.
