Anybody sick of their boyfriend?
I am so sick of my boyfriend! But he lives with me so hes hard to get rid of because he has no where else to go. I just decided to do counseling with him and give it one last try but since then my eating has deteriorated. Im trying to stay motivated, but I think I must be eating my feelings and probably some resentment. I want him to go but I dont want to feel guilty about dumping someone when they are in need. Job lay off etc.Plus he makes the stupidest dang decisions I have ever seen! My eating is much too tied to my relationships , but I dont know how to break the tie. Mentally I see a fit body as a prerequisite for finding someone decent, so I know after I get out of this I will have to get back into the dating thing, so that makes me want to work out and diet. But the fact that I have commited to trying again drives me nuts and screws up my eating. Anybody in a similar boat? I would love to hear from you!
oops sorry, I couldnt delete the copy!
him moving out doesn't have to signal the end of the relationship; it just means that living together isn't working. and--come on--he's an adult. if you're taking care of him, it's not an equitable relationship, you're his mommy.
you have to look after yourself and your kids. you've done what you can; it sounds like the chances that this is going to get better are pretty slim. don't put up with it until you end up hating him.
I love my boyfriend, and we do live together. But sometimes I want to be alone!!! I'm kind of a loner as it is, so when he's THERE all the time.. It gets on my nerves. He's really affectionate, and sometimes I just don't want to deal with it.
We have been getting along fairly well.. BUT, I attribute that to the fact that he works second shift and I work first, so we hardly see eachother during the week.
However, Memorial day weekend we were together the whole time. Until Monday, I was trying to clean because I was in the mood for it (I must have been sick!!) and he was "trying" as well, but I told him "will you just do me a favor and leave" (in Spanish, though 'cuz he's mexican and we never talk English)... So he left... THen he came home really late and I got super pissed at him (I got the rag that night) and I was irrate, so I told him he was sleeping on the couch!! And he did..
Talyah- You need to do what's best for you. I struggle with the idea of one day separating from my boyfriend, i'm his first real relationship, and I know he will be devastated. We broke up once last year, he got physically ill.. It makes me nervous. But, I've got to do what's best for me and you've got to do what's best for you.
Oh yeah!!! And HE can eat WHATEVER he wants and not gain an ounce--which is what he's trying to do!! GRRRRR!! If I even look at food and I gain weight.
Sorry for the long post....
You are obviously a caring person because you don't want to make things worse on somebody that sounds to be a bit self-destructive on their own...But you really need to think about yourself and not let him drag you down.
There's my 2 cents...
Hey, my name is dregi I'm 23yr old I've been with my boyfriend for almost 2yrs and it's the things that he do that makes me so sick of him like , drinking out of the jugs in the refrigerator milk, soda, anything and thats not how i was raise so it kinda upsets me i think thats gross but that's one of the small things that he does, any who i guess since i live on my own since i was17yrs old i kinda like my space in the way i do things he does'nt understand that i love him but dont want to live with him anymore he says if we cant live together then we cant be together in i think thats kinda childish but at this point i just want to live on my own in my own space w\b talyah

no, i want mind back damit. and yes i know i have issues reguarding it.
OP, you need counseling; way beyond what anyone can offer here. ![]()
Get rid of your boyfriend. Sure he has nowhere to go now, but he can find his own place. Living together is no excuse not to end a going-nowhere, dead-end relationship.
