anybody ever try FucoThin?
it sounds good to me, but i wanted to know if anyone else tried it and got results? Dr. Mercola endorses it
Hello,
I just found out about Fucothin from Whole Foods. Tonight I found this forum and I read every post. I bought a bottle and will be trying it tomorrow. I will let you know how it works for me. Wish me luck!
I am satisfied with the results of the product. It's me that seems to have a problem turning down certain foods that I know have nothing but calories. Salads get a bit dull after awhile and I can't say no to many slices of pizza.
Back to dieting for me.
Good Luck Anna !!
Hello Luve2diet, thanks for your support. I am sorry Luve2diet but I do not remember, did you cut your calories down once you started the Fucothin or have your kept your calories this low for a long time?
Good luck, Anna! If you keep your calories down and exercise most days, you'll lose weight. I think I'm odd in that I lost weight initially, but since then the going has been very slow despite the fact that I've continued with keeping the calories down and the exercise up.
Hello everyone, new to this site and forum: I usually do a lot of reading before I try something new,so this brought me to to this site-I bought a bottle of fucoxanthin-slim by LEF and I bought it for $22.00-I had received a coupon for this product-I have never tried any weight loss product before, due to side effects... so I am a little leary...I have been reading the posts and all of you are very informative...impressive.. seems all of you have done the homework on this product. It's just the inital dose of taking it...I guess it's what to expect when you take the first dose-Any recommendations-the best times to take it... I need to loose at least 20lbs...Greatly appreciate any advice-TY
Because of the way this product works, taking three a day is plenty. Taking more will not give you a better result. It will take anywhere from three to six weeks for the fucoxanthin to take effect.
Still no ill effects or anything. I think I'll cut back, tho.
I tried it and did lose 12 lbs in no time at all, which as all I really needed to lose. Please read Rubin Jordans book, if you buy Fucothin you get a free book with it. I did changed my eating habits, stoppped drinking all sodas and drank water instead. I try not to eat out as much, and eat food that I prepare at home. And I do eat pizza about once a week. I felt great and was losing weight too. I only took 1 pill three times a week. And I read the labels on other products but they are not exactly the same as the one as garden of Life. I have not gained any weight back. I stopped taking it but I think I'm going to start taking it again because I have more energy and just feel better taking it. Hope this helps.
Yes, lowered calories. I purchased a program of prepared foods for a week of 1200 calories to begin. I was shocked as to what the size of a portion truly is !
Then I would prepare my own meals using the portion size.
My weakness was for cookies so I would plan meals/calories to include some. Many times I went over and had too many. But I gave up ALL FAST FOOD. All fried foods. Pizza was two slices once a week. Only water and coffee to drink. Salads. Chicken. Fish. Fruit.
I was hungry. But once I began to lose, I didn't care.
It's part of dieting. I use the formula for 13 calories per pound of weight to maintain and deduct 500 calories per day to lose weight. It works.
I use 13 because I am not big on walking. If you are active you use 15 x your weight to maintain. Deduct 500 from this total to lose.
Wow, Luv2diet, if I used your formula of 13 calories per pound of weight and deduct 500, I'd be able to eat 500 calories more than what I've been eating. Can that really work? I ought to be losing like gangbusters, but I'm not. I'm still exercising too. I get discouraged, but know I can't quit because somehow I've got to lose this weight.
I'm going to go back to 3 fucothin a day. I took 9, then went back down to 6, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. So, StrikeZ, I'm going to follow your advice since you were successful.
How do you get the free book when you buy Fucothin? I'm on my bazillionth bottle, and never got a free book.
With this formula, I would consume approx 1200-1300 calories per day. I don't know what you weigh or how active/sedentary you are, but 500 more for me would be 1800 and I would not LOSE for sure. To maintain my weight of 130-135 I would consume around 1750 calories.
I have lost weight. I have maintained weight.
I have been on and off the fucothin. It seemed when I increased calories to 2000, I began to gain.
I am hovering between 133 - 135 and will try to lose 7 more.
Good luck with your weight loss project.
Just to let you know, if you are more active - meaning if you actually work out three to four times a week or more- the number increases to 15 that you multiply your weight by. I believe the formula is posted on THIS forum.
Also, I don't have as much muscle mass as strikerz, #1 my being female and #2 I am sendentary, I believe that-muscle- also helps when trying to burn calories. And weight loss is individual, I do hope you see results, soon.
Thanks, Luv2diet. I usually work out 5x a week. No fewer than 4, for 45 minutes. I l alternate between the treadmill and a Leslie Sansone 45 minute workout. I have 75 lbs. to lose and it is dang hard to lose anything at this point. I eat 1200-1500 cals a day. No junk. Good, healthy food plus water. I'm doing everything right, but am not getting the results most people get.
I'm taking 3 fucothins a day now, since taking more had not effect at all, except in my wallet. That's not where I want to lose weight!
Thanks for your response and encouragement. Good luck with the 7 you want to lose.
Here I lost the weight, I was happy then I slide back into the old ways.
If anything, you are following a better lifestyle than most. But the lack of response in loss of weight, would make me crazy. I remember going thru some plateaus tho. And at that point I dug in even deeper. It became a competition of sorts. The weight hung on with all it had - so I even went a bit lower with calories. I would alternate one low cal day, one reasonable, one lower, then the next reasonable calorie intake day. I did this for three to four weeks.
I have begun that again. I have no one to blame for the gain but myself and my total lack of discipline. I hate it.
Hey - your response caught my attention. I used to do the same thing - never lose weight - no matter what I cut out and how much excercise I added in. Very frustrating - then I'd get to the point where I would go back to eating "normal" because there wasn't a big difference weight wise, but it was easy and I could eat just about anything....
Recently I tried a naturopathic doctor and am very happy. First she found that I had hypothyroidism - and I am now being treated for that, but before I even started treatment for my thyroid, I lost 20 pounds in a 3 month time frame! This was huge for me. What I did was follow the blood type diet - which I thought would be a HUGE fad thing, but now I am a big advocate. It explains why I could go on a low carb - high protein diet, and not lose anything - or how I could be almost vegetarian and not lose anything, or how I could hugely cut back my calorie intake and still not lose weight - dispute the simply equations that always seem to make so much sense.
I am an AB blood type and by reading the book and with the guidance of my ND, I was able to realize that being hungry put me into a storage mode. Chicken is one of the worst foods I can eat and hello - doesn't everyone on a diet think they should eat chicken? I eat as much as I want trying to mostly stay within fruits and veggies for most of my eating. Also having fish and turkey on a regular basis. Other meats on occassion.
Well, that's kind of interesting about the blood type eating. I'll have to check it out. Am very discouraged at this point.
Thanks for everyones' advice-I have been on fuco for 3 weeks now and I have lost 5 lbs. clothes are feeling less tight!! Today, I am starting my gym routine in which I had to stop for about 8 months due to a major surgery issue and gained about 25lbs because of it-My routine was cardio and free weight lifting- 5X's a week so the scale will probably increase because of the muscle mass that will be built but I will be expecting that so it wont be too much of anxiety...have a question about this burning feeling effect-you actually feel this after 6-8 Weeks???
luv2diet07, i love ur enthusiasm and ur dedication. u r an inspiration. i love all things garden of life. i have read jordans book(the creator of garden of life) and i was in awe of him. i would have given up and probably died. he is an amazing person who is only trying to help others. i am a pessimist at heart that is y i read his book before taking probiotics for over a year. it is amazing i feel full of energy and much healthier. i have sickle cell trait, ibs and recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia but i take my probiotics and it helps a lot. i read about fucothin and the minute i knew it was from the garden of life family i didnt question it at all. i just started taking it and by no means am a patient person but u have motivated me and just wanted to say thanks. keep it up!!!!!
I would really like to get that book, his story is amazing isn't it?
I share the ibs problems as well. I have kept it under control mainly with nutrition and reading what can cause flare ups. I have never had to be treated for it since I have changed my eating habits.
I went totally off the diet, gained 5 pounds and am now motivated again. I keep the calorie journal every day. This helps so much. The cookies unfortunately are still a problem.
Good luck to you.
Hi Tangerine,
I tried Fucothin for about 3 months. It did work pretty well! I lost a few pounds and was very happy about that. I also started walking more, did light exercises and did things like use the stairs etc instead of the elevator. It all adds up! And I drink way more water and no sodas/sugars. Water just seems to flush out all the 'junk'.
I did more research on the Fucothin seaweed ingredient and I found an even better product 3 months ago! It has everything Fucothin has but also 4 other ingredients (again, stimulant free and natural) and using it I have lost 30 pounds in 3 months. The cactus ingredient stops cravings and is an appetite suppressant and there are other thermogenics in it too. There are 4 ingredients that boost metabolism and the other keeps your blood sugar levels stable. So, I would say research this one for sure! This is the homepage link www.you-be-slim.com.
I am going to stay on it another 3 months and then I should be at my target weight. I want to lose another 30 pounds. After that I will keep up my light exercises going and maybe even try to do more activities. I find it so much easier now as I am not tired all the time. I love feeling full of energy! I can chase around my little toddler much faster now ...![]()
Good luck with everything!
