anybody ever try FucoThin?

Quote  |  Reply
it's made by Garden of Life. this is what the web site says: fücoTHIN is a natural, whole food based supplement that is made with a proprietary concentration of fucoxanthin combined with pomegranate seed oil, for a patent-pending formula that is naturally thermogenic. fücoTHIN has been studied by leading scientists for many years and is the only formula that has human clinical research to confirm its thermogenic effect.

it sounds good to me, but i wanted to know if anyone else tried it and got results? Dr. Mercola endorses it

I guess I reached my goal.  I bought a scale yesterday, 134.  Ok.  Waist measuremnt hovers around 27 1/2.  Still more than I would like but a heck of alot less than when beginning back in August.  Also the very snug blouse that in July, I could not wear - is very loose.

Not taking any additional vitamins, supplements other than the seaweed, some iron at times,  occasional oregano for sinus, and sometimes an herbal concoction from new chapter for stress.

I have been so lax on watching the snax. Back to the grind, I spose.
I am so happy that for the people that stuck to it, it is helping.  Kudos to you.  There IS something about that stuff, do you agree?

It has been said losing weight requires life style changes, for sure! Mine is to watch portion size and back away from the chocolate.

Happy New Year and happy dieting.
Hi everyone! It has been very encouraging reading your posts. I started the FocuThin on Jan 4 (the day after my birthday). I am getting married in October, and with diet changes and exercise (whenever I can), I would ideally like to lose at least 40lbs.

It's a lofty goal, but I have gained a lot of weight from medications I've been on, not to mention having a desk job and 1.5 - 2 hour commute every day. I started (embarassingly) at approx 187lbs, and I've already lost 4.5... so here goes nothing!

I haven't had any of the bad side effects that I've read about so far, but any advise on how to take the FT to make it as effective as possible would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, and Happy New Year!!!

My recomendations for using fucoxantin.

1.  Take only the recomended ammout.
2.  Do not rely on it to do anything but help a good diet and exercise program.
3.  It takes six weeks to kick in - so be patient with it, hopefully the rest of your program is in gear when this kicks in to assist.

my recommendation as for dieting in general:  portion size.

I just started fucothin on Tuesday and am very excited about it. I also joined a cardio core bootcamp on monday and am joining it 4 days a week. It's time to get serious. I don't have a lot of weight to loose but want to get rid of this belly of mine.

I keep reading on here not to take fucothin past 7. Someone mentioned that they woke up very hot in the middle of the night. Can someone tell me why exactly it's bad to take it at 7? I work till 6 and don't get home till 7. I'll eat around 8 and then go to bed at 1030 to wake up for my 5 15 workout. Before reading this post, I was taking it that late and have not had any problems.

Thanks to everyone who has posted on here and is sharing their experiences. I'm also very happy to see that I can order these supplements online for half the price Capers sells them for. I just paid $65 for one bottle. I'm thinking that it'll be worth every penny!

Thanks.

I would not worry about taking fucoxanthin after 7.  I have taken it right before bed with no problems.  Since fucoxanthin only influences fat to to metabolize, it does not influence the centers that regulate temperature.  So I would not worry about when it is taken.

Hi all,

I'm stuck and I have netted out back at my 8 lbs down after gaining/losing over the last month, with all the Holiday Diversions. I started a Phase 2 blocker (natrol and then fatbusters) but I am worried the 'liposhield' fat burner in it may be blocking the fucothin, since it is in oil. Any thoughts on this and how to get back on track? My exercise program is good but I am having a hard time counting calories. I started logging again today. I have a goals to make my pre-kids weight in 2008, which is another 20 lbs.

 How is everyone else doing?

By the way I ordered LEF's verison for $23/bottle, members price. They also sell the Garden of Life verison for $33.72 member's price.
Hello everyone, Just read the posts on this forum, and am glad to have found it. I started FucoThin on January 2, taking it as directed 3x a day. Eating very healthy: no sugar, white carbs, etc, 1800 cals or less per day.  Am also using the treadmill 35 min. every day. I have a long way to go, and am hoping FucoThin works. I have a TERRIBLE time losing weight.
Found a site to order more fucothin and have learned they also have fucothin in protein bars *no soy protein !  I am going to try them, too.
Good luck lolly - it took awhile to kick in for me, but once it began it just kept going (losing).

Thanks for the encouragement, luv2diet07. Your entries were very helpful and make me want to keep going. Are you still taking FucoThin? Still losing? Let us know about the protein bars. Are they for meal replacement or for snacks?

I hope it's working for everyone else too. I am very eager to start seeing results.

Yes I am still taking fucothin but I'm not dieting, just maintaining for now.  I've been dieting since August and I want to just take a break.  I wouldn't  mind picking up a few of the bars, but they are sold individually which isn't too economical or by the case.  Maybe I'll wait and see if they show up at my local health store.

Just be sure to give it time. It's just a couple gel caps at meal time and results didn't show up on me right away.  I persisted and it worked.

It was all so easy.  Be prepared to purchase several bottles.  There are some sites that sell them for $23 a bottle.  I suggest two or three at a time.  One bottle barely lasted three weeks for me.  I am sure my investment has been close to $275, buying two bottles a month since August.  Its a deal. Cheaper than most diet programs and the purchase of their food or other items. Cheaper than a membership at a gym Etc.  DON"T QUIT.

Whats cheaper than eating healthy and throwing some exercise in? I could use 275 dollars on clothing to replace my big fat clothes not for a pill that does very little in helping my weightloss.

Good luck to all you pill users I hope you can continue your lifestyle and maintain a proper weight once done with the bottles.
Where do these (poster above)  people come from?
   Don't they read the posts???

I HAVE dieted by eating healthy and throwing exercise in FOR TEN YEARS to only lose 4 pounds?

angie seems to  have the difinitive answer - that's why no one is struggling with weight issues, right? .  Just eat healthy and exercise.

Fucothin is seaweed.  Its a gelcap.  It helped me.

where eating healthy *been organic for years and exercising:  pilates, walking, swimming, yoga, weights, etc HAVEN'T DONE A THING FOR ME.  Ok?

FUCOTHIN WORKED.  I TOOK TWO to THREE AT BREAKFAST, TWO to THREE AT LUNCH, ONE OR TWO AT DINNER.    Decreased calories.

BUT IT DIDN'T TAKE TWO WEEKS.  IT TOOK TWO MONTHS. And if people don't see results in two weeks they quit.  I have been at this since August.  I have the results.

I think angie is the type of person who lumps all diet pills into a catagory and thinks she needs to sound off against those who may use them.  She likely did not read any of the thread.  She also did not do any research.   Angie motivates herself by flaming others.  It makes her feel like she has all the answers.  She had nothing of value to add to the discussion.
She did post on another forum she is crabby today. *lounge lizard* I guess so.  Why did  I get all upset, she'll never come back to read anything.

Purchased another bottle today.  I don't take as many as I was before.
I am trying it right now. I think it is ok. It is not a magic bullet by no means, but
I do think it helps to curb my appetite. Diet and exercise is still the proven answer.

I have every intention of continuing with the fucothin along with healthy eating and exercise. I know it helps curb my appetite, and that's terrific. I wasn't expecting that; I just noticed it.

I'm not sure why someone who is opposed to fucothin would read these posts, let alone post something themselves. Go figure. It certainly doesn't change my mind. Fucothin is not harmful in any way, so why get heated about it?

Good luck, everyone. Reading your posts is so helpful and encouraging. How much have you all lost?

Can you share the website where you found them for $23? a bottle? That's cheap and I would like to order a few more. Thanks.

I'm also a new fucothin user (though I've been keeping up with this forum for about a month), and I looked online for lower prices but I ended up sucking it up and paying 30-something dollars. So somewhere cheaper would be great!

Anyways, now that I am officially a fucothin user I thought I'd join this forum. Everyone has been such an inspiration! I only have about 5-10 pounds to lose, but after a huuuuge struggle last year with becoming borderline anorexic (then gaining back the weight I lost + 10 pounds more!), I was really scared of getting back into 'weight loss' mode. I just had such a negative attitude about it because of that whole deal. But reading about you guys and your successes really has helped me come to terms with the fact that getting healthy doesn't have to include such extreme measures. So thank you so much, and keep posting!!
