For Anyone that allows themselves a cheat day...
Hi,
I'm normally 3-4 pounds heavier the day after my saturday cheat days. I know it's all water weight b/c I'm back to normal after a couple of days. I was wondering if anyone else has the same experience. If so, what's a typical "gain" the day after a cheat Day?
Thanks
Serena
I don't have a cheat day until Sunday on the weekends. That way I'm motivated to stay low carb until then. Right now I'm not trying to lose weight but only to maintain so I take off not only Sunday but Wednesdays also. It works really well and my weight goes back to exactly the same every week. I'm careful not to binge but eat the food I enjoy and not get overly full and uncomfortable. That defeats the purpose. It keeps me from craving the food I don't usually have.
cheat days/meals are really really bad for you
bcuz of them it seems i can not lose any weight anymore , when i was doing my diet without them i would lose about 0,5 or 1 kg , now i am stock
i want to go back to the diet with no cheating but i can not i have become addicted to them , so i tried this i would eat less in lunch and breakfast so i can cheat on dinner but still i does not seems to work
If I "cheat" with just food, maybe 1lb or 2 depending on sodium.
But usually mine also involve alcohol, so I'm up 5-7lbs, and it's gone in 2-3 days.
I go to maintenance on those days.
It keeps my cravings in check during the week, and it keeps my metabolism up - whether due to confusing it or due to having my maintenance calories, I don't know (or care!)
but I've had one every weekend throughout the whole journey and have lost steadily.
I carry about a 300 calorie deficit on 5 days a week, and the sunday after my "cheat" day is about 400-500, I'm just not as hungry the following day.
And I don't call it a cheat day. I call it a maintenance day.
