Thanks! That was last year, that was my 'secretary' outfit, now that skirt fits me tight, i am trying to get back down to that size and then more. There i think i was like 130, i need to lose these 10 lbs, and then keep going cause for some reason as soon as i lose a little bit i tend to stop and get way too excited and then just lose it lol

WOOHOO! Way to go! How did you lose the 10? I have lost about 5 but really don't 'believe' i have since my weight fluctuates so much, so i really believe i only lost like 2 lbs
I'm 5'3 and 142ish somewhat interested in dropping maybe 10lbs but my body wont let me lose weight. I'm only really able to put muscle on which I guess in essence is great because muscle burns 5-7lbs and fat only 2-3lbs but the stupid scale has me fixated on the number. I've swapped out my diet so many times that if I don't stay away from the scale I will do it again. I promised myself that I will only step on it when I get my body fat tested so I can determine my lean body mass.
I would love to come on here for support or to support others but I can't promise to do a weekly weigh-in...maybe biweekly.
I'm 5'4" and at 137lbs. I have a problem with hitting a certain point (usually between 135 and 137) and getting stuck. I've been at 137 for the past couple of weeks. I'm not sure if my body wants more food (I haven't been eating my full calorie amount, but I haven't felt hungry either) or if I need to boost up my exercise, or if it's my body turning the fat to muscle because of my new exercise routine. It's a bit frustrating, but I keep telling myself it's better to stay the same than gain.

How many calories do you eat? Maybe it has to do with that...it can be many different things I guess. We're here to support each other

That happens to me too..i get stuck on a certain weight and it just doesnt go down. I used to be 135-137 but was only eating 1200 cal. so i gained it back. I think even when you're not hungry just try to eat the right amount, maybe have a shake or something that feels light. Like right now i did yoga and for some reason im not hungry but i still have like 500 cal. to eat so im gonna go drink a shake and something light
Thank you! I've started actually looking at the calories in things :D I really just ate anything I wanted and could grab before my toddler started throwing a fit. I never lost the baby weight and now, I feel like I can. I have a game now where I try to walk the mile and a half to the park before my kido gets bored sitting in the stroller, then, after playing with her, try to get her back home before I can't stand the "mommy I want to go back" fit. I'm lifting weights, and my 30 lbs kido, as much as I can, and watching my portion sizes. I think the extra water I'm drinking has really helped. I'm not sure what the differance is this time. I've tried losing weight before and it just never worked. I guess having all the info right there to look at all at once is really helping me be aware. And I refuse to stress about my weight now. My hubby likes me big, my hubby likes me small, my hubby likes me. :D That's the only person I have to impress. Maybe that's the real differance.
Hello there.
I'm 5'4.5"
142 lbs.
looking to lose about 15 lbs by Christmas.
hi there
i am 5'5
around 145
just looking to lose 5-6 lbs and sculpt my arms/back/thigh
I'm 19... 5'4 and 146.5 lbs as of this morning... My goal is to be 135 by Christmas. I started this back in April as 162. I'm not sure what my ultimate goal is just yet, I have been doing small 5-10 lb. goals to keep me going instead. I also just want to work on my arms, thighs and stomache. I'm going all of June & July to Italy and then Croatia for the month of August so I'll be spending a lot of next summer in a bikini hence why I really want to keep going and seeing more results.
Good luck to everyone!
Well reading this thread, I guess I am the shortest and heaviest of the lot!
I am 5'1" and weigh 152 lbs.
I am hoping to lose 10 pounds (trying to be a little realistic) by December in time for my 2nd anniv and seeing my family again (after 2 years)!:) I haven't had too much success yet, but haven't really been exercising either... so planning to up that!
Hope we can all motivate each other here!!! :)
Great thread!
I'm 18, second year student at Queen's University in Canada
I am 5'4" and weight 145lbs. as of this morning
I'd like to be down to about 130lbs. by Christmas/New Years.
Challenge Idea
During the summer I joined a group who wanted to lose 10% of their bodyweight by Halloween (and was doing great till I got back to school and began drinking/eating poorly... and thus dropped out)... if anyone's interested in doing something similar like a 10% by Christmas, I think it would be a great motivation because we'd be forced to keep each other on track and going. The guy in charge of the last group created this spreadsheet online: http://www.editgrid.com/user/alexanderrob/10_ Percent_by_Halloween. I'd totally be down for keeping track of our progress if we want to!
Anyone in?
So I'm procrastinating from doing my assignments and made a chart with the current people in this thread in it. Below is the link:
http://www.editgrid.com/user/jennawillis/10_P ercent_Weight_Loss_by_New_Years
I've also created a group for those interested in joining:
http://caloriecount.about.com/percent-new-g42 2
ill join...im 5'3.5'' and currently 140lb....would love to get down to 125 but id be satisfied with 127lbs.
how much is everyone exercising and what are you currently do for exercises?
You may be the shortest, baubles, but I think I "take the cake" :D on heaviest!
I'm in for the 10% loss, but, I'm not sure I can loose that much that fast...10% is more for me than for you guys! I'll give it a shot, though.
I would love a 10% loss also...putting me at my ideal goal! I am going to work out right now! yay
Hi there, I'm same height & weight as you. Congrats on the 10 pound loss! This thread caught my eye because a year ago I was 140... and I wasn't happy. I wanted so bad to get down to 130 and when the scale would't budge, I totally gave up. I should have just been happy where I was. So here I am!
Keep me posted on your progress!
Hi there. I'm 5'4" also... a bit heavier though, and a bit older! I'm 35.
A year ago I was 140 and thought it was terrible. I wanted so bad to get down to 130. I gave up when I wasn't getting anywhere (along with other things happening in my life) and gained 30 pounds.
I was 117 when I was 23. I had my son when I was 25 and got back down to 133 (after 67 pound gain!) Scale doesn't seem to budge as easy as when I was in my 20's. My advice though - 140 isn't bad for our height. Even if you lose a few pounds, that's great! Don't get stuck on a number or you'll get frustrated. Everyone has a happy weight, and if I realized a year ago that 140 was probably mine... I wouldn't be in this boat right now!
Good luck - we're all here for you!
