Does anyone out there do callenetics?

Quote  |  Reply

I do an hour of callenetics every other day (which is fantastic by the way) but am able to put it on my activity log as it's not listed and I am unsure of what to list it under!  Does anyone do this type of exercise or log it as something similar? Grateful for your input.

Thanx xx

I don't actually do calisthenics, but I noticed them when I was looking up my aerobics.  Here are the two I found:

Hope that helps!

Hehe, yeah that's probably why you can't find it... "calisthenics" Tongue out

=O you can read minds???

I think the OP meant Callanetics.

oops my bad Embarassed

Looking at that website, it's probably equivalent to yoga in terms of calories burned.

I have a callanetics DVD (or tape or something) that I used to do.  From what I understand and remember it was supposed to be wonderful for people with back problems and that was one reason I tried it.

However, when I showed it to my PT they advised me against a lot of the exercises on it...  I can't even remember which ones, but I quit using it after that.

I think it would be equivalent to light calisthenics though.

Thanks guys, sorry for late reply I have been away!  Yes I did mean Callanetics (apologies for the typo & resulting confusion)!

Karozel, I too started doing these exercises to help a back injury and have found them to be really beneficial - I will have to do some research and see whats going on - I don't want to make my back worse!

Many thanks & Best wishes x
