I found Slim  in  6  to be great for toning, it is not dreadfully hard to do. I did the 6 weeks and found my self toned!  I looked great, I did the Slim and Six pack daily too which made my abs look decent.  I have not done this in about 2 years now but would love to start it again, that is if i can get my girls to nap at the same time!  Anyone doing it, or about to start it?  I am ready for the 6 week challenge.  I am eager to start but fear not following through... I know it works!  I have seen results firsthand!  I need a buddy!

THANKS ALOT for all the positive comments.  A work in progress... hopefully one month from now I will look back and be amazed by the transformation.  I really am not pleased with the scale.  No changes there.  I really think I am going to go one month without a weigh in.  I can do it, I will do measurements every other week, that is where it see results.

Monix... love your little kitties, the black one with white paws looks just like my kitty.  She is about 8 months old.  The Calico... my favorite cat was a calico, she is in kitty heaven now but she was so cool!  I was looking for one when I got my new kitties but they didnt have one at the shelter... I got two sisters, I will post you a pic.  They stare at me like I am crazy doing my SI6!

Nice to "see you" sweet tart!  that's funny!

BIU is done for today!  I should get a massage... I am going to look into that right now!
Thank you for all the info on the calorie burn.  I have just recently gotten into the calorie counting since I too can't seem to move the scale backwards.  You mention doing cardio before or after...wow here I thought I  was working so hard.  I will have to try this for sure. Keep increasing the levels - i like that.

I am definately feeling obsessed with working out and that excites me.  I am finally planning around working out instead of never finding time to work out.  I love it.

sweet_tart - enjoy las vegas - i was just there in November.  Great fun!  I want to be as fit as you appear to be...I will now use you as my inspiration.

I hope everyone enjoys the holiday weekend.
I am going to purchase SI6 today.  I am hoping to recieves some feedback that it actually works.  I find myself not wanting to go to the gym until I firm up a little bit.  I like the idea of working out at home.  From reading your comments, it appears to be a good thing as long as you stick to it.  Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Aly: I don't have the kittens anymore. I kept them for two months, unti. they were able to eat on their own and after that I found them two good masters. They are very happy in their new homes right now.  My cat does not settle for just looking while I am doing my BIU. She is actively participating: we are fighting for space on the floor (you see, it is rightfully her's) and while I am doing my abs there is no better place to sit except for my tammy (or my back doing the push ups)

los: los35: If you are interesting on info about results I can tell you I am amazed! I am having very good results in terms of size... clothes size... I droped one or two... If you are interested in other things, just let us know. Everybody will be willing to help you (it never happened to me to ask something and not receive an answer so...) Anyway, welcome to our group!      &nb sp;               &nb sp;               &nb sp;               &nb sp;               &nb sp;
one other thing, aly: the Calico cat is the mother of the two kittens. I found her almost one year ago on the streets. She was pregnant and gave birth to those fur balls. She had a lot of complications while giving birth and the doctor had to perform a little surgery to take them out alive or at least to save the mother(I don't know the name of the procedure in English). They say that Calico cats are very lucky. I don't know about the others, but this one was very lucky indeed!
Alert - long post! ^_^ I haven't been able to go to forum so here goes! ...

LOL ^_^ I posted a greeting card/photos of me and hubby during holiday season. But since it's over I took it down. I will post something with Chinese New Year flavor soon ~.^

aly - don't get discourage by the number on the scale. The changes in your body is visible. ^_^b It seems you are building muscles much faster than loosing the fat. Don't worry, It is ok. (happens to me in the beginning). The fat will burn off.
One thing you might consider doing now, if I may suggest, is to watch your Macro Nutrition. Start watching the ratio of Carb-Pro-Fat. My suggestion is to increase your protein intake. Typical ratio on most people is high on carb (about 50%) and protein (15-20%) and fat make up the rest. Since you are working out hard, I suggest take up the protein and cut back on the carb. (see my journal, I posted some thoughts and rant about my ratio earlier in Jan). Try to boost protein up as high as you can with the goal of 30%.
Active (workout intensively) people usually requires more protein in their diet. The idea here is to have enough protein in your body to feed and maintain your muscle - therefore keep the fire stoked and burning, sort of speak - and play down the carb which (usually in excess) will turn into sugar and stored as fat. You want to shed fat so no point of adding extras, right? ^_^

julie - I come to vegas so often LOL Mom lives here. So it's more of a family gathering. I don't gamble and really kinda tired of the Strip already heheh. This Sunday is Chinese New Year, so she will cook a storm with more relatives coming by later today (Saturday). I managed to sneak in 1 hr of workout in the morning though ^_^;; So proud of myself hahahaha (of course whoever up already around 9 was like... what on earth?...... :p They all think I am 'small' enough and don;t need to be 'smaller').

That said, I am logging 1hr of BIU today and yesterday 1hr of TJ.

Welcome to the group los35 :D

P.S. C'mon ladies, fill out those profile and let us see you ~.^

Have a good weekend!!
Saturday night went to dinner with Hubbie for his birthday, ate too much.... Sunday morning went to a baby shower... almost met my calorie limit on just brunch alone... oops!  It was too easy to slip up and over do it!  I am hoping to get BIU started in the next hour or so.  I took yesterday off, another oops!  I was tired from working all night... rest took priority for once!

Happy New Year Sweet_tart!
I'm so happy to read your post aly! (sorry) Saturday night we met some friends and I ate almost half a pizza (at 1.00 am) and on Sunday I tried soooo hard to remain within my calorie limit (including the midnight pizza, you know). Of course, at 17.00 I discovered the cookies my mother-in-law sent me and I ate half of them and finished everything  with 4 pieces of After Eight mints (120 cals only..) So I know how "oops" feels like. Luckily for me, I did my BIU and 6 pack and stretching and everything.

Don't you have the feeling that the week-end is very difficult for the diet? I have no problem respecting the diet during the week. My colleagues are so understanding and my husband is just wonderful (BTW: Happy Birthday for your husband..). And then...Saturday comes and disaster strikes! I hate week-ends!
Quick question about SI6! I have the DVD that I bought a while ago and just recently found it in my closet... I want to start using it! However, I can't seem to find any paperwork that came with it that can explain to me which routines to do on which days. Anyone know how this works? I have Start It Up!, Ramp It Up!, Burnt It Up!, and the Slim & 6pack and Slim & Limber.

Thank you!

if can anyone send me the first video of slim in 6 and burn it up that would be verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry cooooooool i dont want to by the other ones i just need the first work out one and burn it up.

i will be very happy if any of u guys can do it please please
rikkles: start with Start it up! for a week. After that, 2 more weeks of Ramp it up! and then 3 weeks of Burn it up! I did not use this pace. I used SIU for a few days (3-4) then RIU for one week and the remaining time BIU. I switched between the videos when it felt comfortable. The 6 pack and the limber one are just bonus tracks. the first deals with your abs and the second is about stretching and relaxing. You may use then whenever you feel like it. I am trying to use them daily, but it's just my option.

One more thing; you are supposed to exercise for 6 days in a raw and take a break in the 7th one, and do this for 6 consecutive weeks. I hope this answers your question. Welcome to the club!
Thank you Monix!!! Perfect answer :)
I was not going to do BIU yesterday but I was so upset with myself that I did not manage to do it on Sat or Sun that I made time to get it done on Monday!  I felt like One Million Dollars once I finished it!  So glad I read the posts and found some strength to get moving.  Last night I made dinner for a few family members and my husband for a small bday party.  I did not bother to log my calories...  So today I am back on track, it is finally above  40 here and I think I am going to bundle up my girls and go for a walk.  We are getting cabin fever! Maybe the fresh air will help clear up the runny noses... ewww!

Have a good day, I will post later, :)
I did my BIU for today and my 6 pack!  Yippy!
Excellent aly! I'm happy you managed to do the workout. I'm not so lucky (sigh). I came back from the office around 17.30 and I started to cook immediately (some beans soup..). My plan was to fix the soup by 19.00, eat by 20.00 and start exercising around 21.00. Very late, but still...And what happens? It's 20.30, the soup it's not ready yet (since the beans are too stubborn to boil properly, can't imagine why), I did not eat, I did not exercise. Just got nervous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll start my workout at 23.00! But I'll do it! I promise!

I'm planning to continue with BIU even after I finish the 42 days of Si6. I took only 3 days off until now and it seems OK. So, I'll just see how much I can go on without being too bored or killing my knees. BTW, have you heard from jamie? How's her knee? I did not see her posting something lately...
It's 23:57 and I just finished my workout. It was the hardest thing I did today: to kick myslef in the .... to start the BIU. This time it was even harder to finish it and to go on with 6 pack...But I did it and I wish I could say it feels great... I feel tired and not happy so I decided to take a one day or even a "two days" break, to give my muscles a chance to rest. Meanwhile I'll just do the abs, the stretching and some exercises with my dumbells to burn some cals...Now I'll try to get some sleep since tomorrow it's another day at work *Sigh*
Hi Everyone...I have to say that this is the very first forum that i've ever joined and I am having a great time with it.  I was actually excited all weekend to check it today...Didn't go online at all over the weekend.  I completed my first week of RIU. I have successfully moved into week 2.  My husband decided to do it with me last night -that was cool.  I may have a new buddy.  I actually had parties on Saturday and Sunday and didn't work out either day.  I was back in the swing of things yesterday and it felt sooo great.

I too dug up the routine from a gift given to me a long time ago...The makers - beachbody.com is actually my client and the folks there are good friends.  I had lost my instructions and have done 2 weeks of each.  I think that will work though.  I also decided that i'm not on a 6 week stint...rather an everyday lifestyle.

I do like the routines and really feel like i'm taking shape and getting a good workout.  I'm not going to measure my results til around the 12th week.

Happy New Year Sweet_Tart - SF was a very busy place on Saturday night.

I've gotta keep working on the carb vs. protein mix.  Being a vegetarian/no dairy either - it's not so easy.
