I found Slim  in  6  to be great for toning, it is not dreadfully hard to do. I did the 6 weeks and found my self toned!  I looked great, I did the Slim and Six pack daily too which made my abs look decent.  I have not done this in about 2 years now but would love to start it again, that is if i can get my girls to nap at the same time!  Anyone doing it, or about to start it?  I am ready for the 6 week challenge.  I am eager to start but fear not following through... I know it works!  I have seen results firsthand!  I need a buddy!

Hello everyone!  I've been doing SI6, RIU and BIU for 5-1/2 weeks.  I am getting discouraged but probably shouldn't be.  I have lost 3 inches in my waist, 3 in my hips, 1 in each thigh and 1/2 in my biceps and even 1 inch in my neck!  The frustrating thing is I've only lost 8 pounds.  I know I should be happy but I was hoping for at least 5 more.  Also, I still have belly fat.  Will that ever go away?  If I keep doing this program will I keep getting results.  I'm starting to eat a few sweets here and there instead of being really good (south Beach diet good).  Any encourgagement out there?  I need to keep going.

By the way, this is the first program I've been dilligent about and I really do feel so much better physically.
i know what you mean...  i am in that same situation... losing inches, looking great, but the scale is slowly moving... i chalk it up to muscle.

the first time i did the SI6 series a few years back i was walking 3 miles pushing a stroller everyday, the weight seemed to drop then, but life was alot different then too.  i was younger, with little stress and lived in beautiful SC right by the water...  now i am in RI, the weather is crappy, i am barely ever outside, stress out over everything...  oh and i have two kids now...

i actually am close to finishing the 6 weeks in another week or so, i just bought billy blanks boot camp series to hopefully give me more cardio and a fat burner, for a change of routine also.

i gave up on the scale and now just do measurements every other week.  results are definately there.  i told myself no weigh in for 1 month... not easy to do when my husband (trying to gain weight and muscle mass)  is on the darn thing twice a day!  he keeps it by the bed.  i close my eyes and hurry by it because it is so tempting to jump on it, but the number will discourage me (or at least that is what i am afraid of.

good luck, you are doing great!  put away the scale!

Thanks for your feedback!  I, too, live in a snowy, cold climate - Michigan.  One thing I have noticed is that every April, after trying really hard to lose weight since January, the pounds start falling off.  I think there might be something to a layer of winter fat!  Anyway, I will try not to step on the scale.  I have to remember that last time I lost 20 pounds on South Beach it took almost 4 months and I wasn't doing any exercise.  I think muscle does weight more that fat.

Thanks again, and good luck.

i just want somebody to email me the dvds i dont mean mail it to me or can somebody post up the videos on youtbue or dailymotion please.
Hey ladies, I am back! ^__^? Thanks for the New Year Wishes. Check out my journals for some pics I took during the celebration.

So motivating to see all the progress and achievements here.
mcgee, grats on the inches! Those are major shrinkage you got there, woman! ~.^ Don't mind the scale. The numbers wont necessarily make you fit into the smaller size, but inches will.

1516998 - sorry, I don't have the means to video the workout. Out of curiosity, this is an important investment. It is totally worth it to shell out some dough to get the actual DVD. :)
By the way, I slacked off only on 2 days while I was away, but with the food, I managed to fill up and tighten up in my jeans @.@ *yikes*

Today, coming back with BIU plus 35 min cardio, trying to burning those fat I accumulate during new year ^.^;;
sweet_tart: welcome back! I hope you had a nice celebration of the New Year. Your picture, drressed in the traditional style, is very beautiful!

I'll leave today for a hotel in the mountines and I have no idea if I have acces to internet there... so I might miss the motivation that comes from this thread. I'll be there until Saturday night and I'll take my BIU with me (I also have a fitness facility there, so I'll do my exercises...) but it's not going to be the same. So.. "see" you on Sunday!

Thanks Sweet tart, on the encouragement!  I'm headed off for BIU, maybe I can put some more energy into it this time instead of feeling defeated!

Good luck everybody!

Hey, I have a question about calorie burning... how do I know how many calories BIU burns?  At least an approximation.  I have no idea if I am doing a good job with my food intake vs. energy used etc...
I think someone posted before (see maybe page 13), it is about 350+ for BIU right before crunches. It will vary depending the person's size, mass, and fitness level. Usually if the person is bigger they burn more than smaller person, and if the fitness level is higher (that makes the routine less challenging) you will also burn less. I know I burn less because of the 2 reasons: I am small and already doing the routine for a while. That is why I also add variations - different routines, cardio etc.

Don't be discouraged though. 300 burned is still a lot. I would be happy if I burn eve that much. Just typical cardio on elliptical only burn barely 300 for me for 30 min.
You can't expect a session to always burn like 700-1000. (I don't think I ever burn that much to be honest).
Another thing to remember, SI6 is a combo of cardio blast and weight training. So you will burn calorie, during and after the workout.

Thanks, that is helpful.  I think I just need to take a chill pill and realize this is the start of a new healthy lifestyle, not a quick way to something unrealistic.  (I've had 4 kids and I'm in my 40's).  Thanks again!
Hey! I have Internet connection! I did not manage to do my BIU yesterday, but I danced for more then 2 hrs. I mean really danced, so in terms of calorie burned I think I'm on the same level... Today I'll definetely do the exercises because I, believe it or not, miss it!
I was unable to get in my BIU yesterday but I did some of the routine while at work.  I find that when I need to enter the kitchen I will lunge the whole way there and back!  My client sleeps through most of the night so I find myself getting tired/bored so I get up and put my SI6 skills to work.

Today I gave Billy Blanks Boot Camp Basic Training DVD a shot... ugh the resistance band part can be brutal!  Not a bad workout, can be hard to follow, I found myself watching it at times trying to figure out "what in the world are they doing with their feet?"  I am pretty sure that the next time I do it I will have a good grasp on it.  Not as easy to follow as Debbie is!  That is whati love about SI6.  Tomorrow will be back to BIU, going to alternate every few days from here on out.

This week started Lent so I am somewhat fasting on Fridays, and eating no red meat.  I am making Tilapia tonight.  Also bought some great looking sushi rolls at  the commissary... UMMM! Can't wait for dinner!
wooo sushiiiiii ^__^ ?sushi

I love tilapia too. I got mine from Costco, already frozen and individually packed. Ah, the age of convenience.

I didn;t do BIU yesterday either. Hubby decided he wanted to join me for the workout. But he likes TJ better. So 40 minutes later, he was all sweaty LOL TJ totally kicks his butt :p Still thinking maybe I can get him to do BIU, since it is less complex than TJ.
Hi everyone!

I would love to start SI6, but i'm not sure where to buy it.  Online it's so expensive, shipping and handeling... plus is in US money and i live in canada.  witch mean it does up about 50%... Any store have it? wallmart or places like that? Thanks!
eBay :) (where I got mine)
Hi guys,

Just wanted to bump in and tell you guys that I just bought the program and was looking on line to make sure I was doing the right thing. And that's how I found this sight.

I moved away from home (from my parents house) two years ago. And gained a totally for 30 pounds. And being a short person (5'1"), it's not really fun when you live in southern florida and everyone looks like a super model.

So, as soon as I get my care package of Slim in 6 in the mail please help me along as well. And good luck for all the ones who have already started!
Welcome 4nqtpie!!

Stay commited and you will love your results!
Just finished a morning BIU ^__^ *feeling the sweat feeling the heart rate feeling good* ... dang it .. I really want that HRM ... 1 more month b4 my bday.. I better start dropping hints ~.^

Welcome pie :)
I just did my first Start it Up Workout and found it pretty easy.  So what I have been reading, I will do it tomorrow and then move up to the next one.

How many days did you do Start it Up before moving on?
