I found Slim  in  6  to be great for toning, it is not dreadfully hard to do. I did the 6 weeks and found my self toned!  I looked great, I did the Slim and Six pack daily too which made my abs look decent.  I have not done this in about 2 years now but would love to start it again, that is if i can get my girls to nap at the same time!  Anyone doing it, or about to start it?  I am ready for the 6 week challenge.  I am eager to start but fear not following through... I know it works!  I have seen results firsthand!  I need a buddy!

I'm proud to annouce that I did not eat not a gosh darn thing today. Yes.. the fasting is almost done. Tomorrow will be the start of the 6 Day Express Diet Plan.

I'm doing Plan 1. And like "THE BOOK" says - "Plan 1 is balanced, healthy die recommended for anyone new to dieting and exercise but still up for the challenge of the 6-Day Express."

I'm look at the breakfast sections.. and Loving the fact that I can eat 4 oz of meat!!!! OMG!!! I made a shopping list of the foods listed in the back of the book so I can stock my shelf up for the week. I'm really excited about this guys! You just don't know how much a tablespoon of peanut butter on a whole grain slice of bread.. just one though.. MMmmmMMm.... Ha ha haha.. I bet I sound like a nut. I guess that's why they recommend you do the fast. So you realize how much a little bit of food can make you feel so grateful!
LMAO XD you are funny!

But it is true though, almost like the saying "absence makes heart goes fonder" So the absence of food in this case makes you appreciate food more huh? ;) I love PB, but can only use 1 TBS on 1 slice of WWB. More than that (although I like PB) it's too much for me :)

I am curious what is in the express diet plan, since I dont have the booklet. Mind sharing your meal plan?

Good job! Keep it up-Up-UP!!! ^_^
The booklet is sOOooOooO funny.. it lays out everything from when you wake up in the morning, to when you lay down @ night.

It's like.. wake up.. BAM! Drink 8 oz of water before you work out..

Then you work out 20-60 mins of cardio

then drink more water

then eat breakfast

(this is where I look @ the back of the book and it tells me what they mean by meat, fruit one, fat one, etc)
4 oz of meat or meat substitute
One serving of Fruit One
1 table of FAT ONE
4 oz soy or skim milk

So this is what I would be eatting
4 oz egg subsitute omlette cooked in a tablespoon of olive oil
1/2 of a banana
4 oz of skim milk..

or there are two other option you can pick from

MmMMmmMm.

Did you want me to scan and send over?
I love you forever if you would ^__^ ?
Sent!
Got it! ^_^b Thanx!

the plan is so clean. I can see how one who follow it strictly will lose in no time.
So cool to see that my typical breakfast falls under Option 3 :D

Although I still can't believe 1 serving of protein = 6 egg whites @.@ Just 3 already makes me full...
Isn't that weird? I can't look at my carton of eggs the same again..

But I'm so happy that the cook my job does egg white breakfasts... mmmmmm. I just got back from shopping from the shopping list. I'm all excited!

Naturally tomorrow I will just eat healthy. You got me bent, waking up tomorrow, not having ate for two day, drink an 8 oz cup of water, and bust out with 60 mins of cardio! *faints* @_@
LOL no fainting, girl! *psyched* *psyched* \(^_^)/
I am so proud of myself!  I finished day 4 (4 days - cool!).  I am finding that I am looking forward to my workouts now and really enjoy RIU and will start BIU the end of next week.

I am going to take a left turn and follow the 6 day plan after more about it.  It is not too far off my regular meals other than meat in the morning so we shall see.  I am ready to follow a plan at this point and let someone else tell me what to eat!
Sometimes having someone just set the menu (or food) in front of us is so much easier. Save you time thinking about what to eat :) Good luck and enjoy your 6 days plan. make sure you learn from the meal plan so you can apply that in the future. :)
Julie, I didn't take the days off weekly, just when my body requested it! When i felt the sorrow and the need to stop, I stoped. Yesterday was the 42nd day (of course, this does not mean I'll stop) and I took 7 days off, 3 of which were in the last week (my knees were hurting so bad...).

pie, would you mind sending the booklet to me to? My friend sent me the Si6 without booklet and resistance band. She decided to keep those for herself LOL....I wasn't clever enough to ask her to scan me the booklet...
monix - I hunted you profile for an email address and didn't fine one.. shoot me one and I'll be more then happy to do send it over.

And let me tell you guys. After two days for fasting.. a plate of 6 scrabbled eggs whites with a cup of strawberrys taste sOOooOooOooOo good with a 4 oz cup of skim milk.

I woke up feeling so refreshed and excited that I decied that I might partake in a little SIU. Yeah... I made it through maybe I good 15 mins of it, before my legs and arms about gave up on me. But it's okay.. I expected as much. I'm going to do my cardio at the gym with a nice 30 min of treadmill, and 20 mins of the SIU again. And see how the works.
anxious1 - I'm like uberly late.. but CONGRATS ON FISNISHING DAY 4!!!! I hope I can amp it like you too soon and be excited for RIU and BIU. Like I said before, my arms about gave up on me on SIU. I guess that will soon go away when it's on a daily basis.

But.. congrates and keep up the great work! ^__^
pie - this is a suggestion for low energy but effective session on the treadmill. Walk at low speed (try from 2.5 to 3.5 to see which suits you or you can interval the speed) but set the incline to max 15%.

That will get you sweat, and totally work your legs, especially hamstring and glutt. This is very low impact but intense. I usually do this when I am low on energy, or just finishing with weight training but still want to get in some cardio.

If your muscles are sore and starting to tremble as you exercise, you better stop and give it a one day rest. Pushing it too much will be counter productive. Starting fresh with more energy and recovered muscles will make a better exercise session, allows you to do it with the correct form, resulting in burning more calorie, targeting the right muscles. :)
Hey Everyone!  congrats to those starting out with SI6 just like me!  I have done 4 days of SIU and 1 day of RIU...I posted earlier in the week saying that I was going to have to take Thursday as my day off because I had a test that day and assignment due the next day, but while writing my assignment I was bored and wanted to work out...so I did! yay!  so i'm almost done my first week and just went shopping for fun...went into American Eagle and was able to put on a size 8 shorts and they fit!!!  Before I don't think I could even get my butt into their size 10 or 12 jeans....so I was definitely pleased!  and before they didn't fit properly because my bum and legs were too big....but the shorts were perfect!  after only one week!  :)  i hope this serves as some motivation for those just starting out....keep up the good work everyone!  :)
pie: I updated my profie to include my e-mail address. Thank you...and congrats on finishing the fasting part! I must confess that the strawberrys would taste great even if you are not fasting, but I see your point!

want2..: don't you feel just WONDERFUL when you put those smaller clothes on? Congrats and keep up the good work. This is exactly what I loved in Si6: I could see results right from the start, to keep me motivated!

Hello all. I am on my sixth week of SIU.  I do not have a huge amount to lose, I am in the 10-15lb weight loss group.  On my sixth week, I have lost 3 lbs and 5 inches.  The program DOES work, but it is slow and you MUST diet!  I was hoping just to add exercise and see results, not the case.  I like the workouts, and really like Debbie Seibers, she is not overly "excited".  It annoys me to have an instructor who is sickenly excited about working out (b/c I am really not! ha). anyway, the series works and you feel better...but you must be consistent AND diet, which kinda stinks!
Aw.. I hope you are not discouraged by the 'diet' ~.^ From what i see in the diet plan pie sent me, the 'diet' is not that bad imho :) Actually it's pretty flexible. On normal weekdays my menu is pretty close to the ones they line up. Consider that the new healthy lifestyle, then it wont feel bad. Gratz on the achievements. 5" is some major shrinkage :)
wnbtoned - Thank you so much for the advice about dieting. I know I had to slow my roll on food (and it's pretty chubby roll). To me a diet was eatting everything on my plate.. and then considering if I was going to share my dessert or not.. Hmmmm.. yeah.. not good. That's why I'm doing the whole by the book thing. I figure, If I did it by the book, it has to be fool proof!

Sweet: I'm diggin' the diet plan now. I'm exciting to know that everything is planned out for me. I woke up this morning and was like.. I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I'M HAVING FOR BREAKFAST! And I'm also excited to annouce that I have I finished the whole SIU. The burning in my thighs have waved down, and my arms can move again.. *yeah*.

monix - I sent the diet plan over. Being on it for a whole day, it doesn't seem that bad. That and the whole fasting phase made my tummy uber small. When you scamble 6 egg whites, it's like a HUGE omlette! I could have ate half, but I was afriad that since I didn't eat, my body would have hated me if I didn't and I need energy if I was going to pull another work out at the end of they day.

Besides all that, I have been playing the "weighing myself each morning" game. Because I lost 5 pounds during the fasting game, and I thought it was come back after eatting again. But sure as *poop*, it's still off. SooOOooO.. really excited. Really really excited guys.

oh, one more thing...there are several of us in the beachbody group who actually "gained" urggg!! weight around week 3 of SI6..the message boards on the beachbody page are really good.  There is a fair amount of frustration with the program for those of us who have only about 15 lbs to lose..BUT, if you stick it out..get on those boards for support and boards like these..YOU WILL SEE RESULTS and equally important: FEEL BETTER..PUSH and make it to the end of the 6 series, I cant wait to start my 7th week and have actually ordered more of the dvd's...and trust me, I am not a rah rah overenthusiast! they work, plain and simple
