Anyone doing SLIM IN 6?
I found Slim in 6 to be great for toning, it is not dreadfully hard to do. I did the 6 weeks and found my self toned! I looked great, I did the Slim and Six pack daily too which made my abs look decent. I have not done this in about 2 years now but would love to start it again, that is if i can get my girls to nap at the same time! Anyone doing it, or about to start it? I am ready for the 6 week challenge. I am eager to start but fear not following through... I know it works! I have seen results firsthand! I need a buddy!
Hi jenny, welcome! Serious result? Well, not everyone here is below 30 you know ~.^ And result is not exclusive for those in the 20s or below 20s :p Result can only come with commitments. So dont think much about it and go for it. :)
Hi robcindy - this is not a diet. It is a workout regiment. Just continue eating healthy and smart, and use SI6 as your workout guideline. Half of us here not even following the food program that comes along with the DVD. The workout regiment itself is pretty good and sensible. So in itself it would be sufficient. Well I think it is. It works for me in giving me a good whole body workout.
jess - above on this page I posted a link where you can see one of the suggested eating program (got it from pie). Don't get stressed out :) stress = build up cortisol level = your body just going to fight you in what ever you do :) Relax and just focus on your workout. Persistence in a good routine will give you result. I made many mistakes before because I got so discouraged after not seeing the result I want after only a short time of diet/workout.
Edit: LOL just realize that my post bumped to the next page :p

Okay, welcome...me! lol I am starting the slim in 6 videos (thank you ebay) today March 11th. Im not concerned about my weight, but losing some wouldnt be too bad. what Im looking for is losing my fat off my tummy (thank you child number 2) and toning it as well. Course im looking for fast results, isnt everyone? so I think that 6 weeks sounds like a godsend, so we shall see...wish me luck! :-)
Just wondering how long it took you guys from Canada to get your Slim in 6?? I live in Ontario and I want to get it soon!! :o) Too bad they only have that expedited shipping for free in the U.S...
end of week one
Overall weight lost = 4 pounds
Arms = -1 Inch
Thighs = -1 Inch
Hips = -2 Inches
Waist = -1
I didn't messure my bust cause.. I really don't think that's an issue.. and I'm really scared I'm going to lose Tatter and Tott (my nicknames for my chest pillows tee hee). I rather not know if I lost any in that area.
Yesterday was my off day, but I still did 60 min on the eliptical to justify the big dinner I was planning to indulge in. But at the end of the day, I could only stomach 6 out of 12 grilled bbq chilken wings drenched in bbq sauce. I was going to order the all time southern favorite, sweet tea, but caught myself ordering water like second nature. But all in all it was a beautiful restful day.
Today started the RIU week. I told myself regardless how crappy I did RIU last week won't deter me away from atleast making to the of the whole routine today. I have braggin' to my boyfriend that the SIU routine had gotten to easy. Surprisingly I made it throught the whole work out (granted I took about 3 breaks in the middle and had to relax my legs futher toward the end of the work out). I feel the new burn from SIU. Which is a great thing. I didn't want my body getting use to a work out. I can stand pain if it means I'm getting fitter and healther.
The whole diet and calorie counting has become second nature now. I catch myself looking at the calories and fat on every little thing that I want to put in my mouth. Even when I want to cheat. I"m not going to lie, I have cheated on the the diet plan they gave me, but it will cheat with an extra cup of grapes or a full cup of meat eather then 4 oz.
But my end result.. Sorry for the long post.. and I'm doing really well. And I'm so happy that everyone else is either getting on, and/or doing extremly well.

We love updates, pie :) Keep them coming. And a tip for the legwork on RIU, if your knees starting to hurt (and I mean hurting, already beyond cramping) switch leg. As long as you still do the sets equally with both legs.
Ok, since I got my BIU with me & I have a full good rest last night, I think ima go for a full session today. Later today will look for TJ Learn & Burn DVD for my mom :p

Wow pie! those are some AWESOME results! congrats!! I have just finished my 2nd week today and i'm definitely not seeing the results you have achieved, but I'm just trying to stick with it and convince myself that it will all work out by the end of the 6 weeks! :) I'm pretty proud of myself for sticking with it this long...I usually work out but not quite this consistently! I'm fearing this upcoming week though because it is going to be TOUGH! I have TONS of class time and also have to get a TON of work done in preparation for my final exams....so my feeling is, if I can get through this upcoming week then the last 3 weeks will be a breeze! :) My concern right now is that I'm finding it harder to get through the workouts rather than easier and I feel like it's because my legs aren't being given enough recover time with doing the work out every day....but I'm also scared to not do it every day since I have to leave for a cruise at the end of april! ahh! any suggestions?? thanks everyone...and please post lots this week because i'm going to need some serious motivation to keep going! :)
Awesome Pie! Stick with it and it gets easier with each workout. I had trouble with the leg routines too (with my knees) and did what Sweet_tart suggested and it worked great!
I bought Turbo Jam at my Costco so I'm going to start that until I get my Slim in 6 in the mail... I have about 7 weeks left until I go to Cuba, and I need some serious ab and leg work... so I'll see how it goes with that... I did so well working out and dieting all of January and then i got bronchitis at the beginning of February and wasn't able to lose my cough until the beginning of March, so now I feel like I have almost no time left... that's why i'm asking what the results are like for all you guys... :o) I hope I'm satisfied with what happens after 7 weeks... as long as I lose most of my cellulite and my thighs look at least a bit toned... I'm very much willing to work hard every day and I'm very good at keeping up a healthy diet... sorry for the babbling... I'm just thinking on here...
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE WITH YOUR PROGRESS!!!

jess - remember, sometimes a rest is as effective as a workout. Don't work your muscles too hard that it starts pushing you back. Sometimes you even need 2 days of rest in order to see result. Don't worry. You wont lose your effort. It is hard to convince yourself that it is ok to not workout a day or two - even myself. Yet I find myself seeing improvements after a day of eating a lot, or a full day of rest. :)
You may want to think about bringing the resistance band with you. When I am traveling I usually wake up and start warming up and do a quick 30 min workout before hitting the shower. Get it done in the beginning of the day usually works when you are out traveling or on vacation.
Welcome florence :) You can follow the calendar. I think you workout 6 days straight with 7th day off. Most important to remember is to really listen to your body. If you are too sore, rest a day then continue. Workout at your own pace, until you are comfortable with the workout.
jenny - I also do Turbo Jam! :D It is a fun variation with SI6. Those two routine are completely different :)

still waiting for my SI6. It should be here soon! I'm excited after reading so much success. Even if I only lose a pound, even gain one with muscle, I will feel so good about it. Yay! :)
i know i havent given updates in while.. this is my second week of BIU... oh boy... tell me about feeling the burn... i think im goin to switch around my routine a lil bit because when i run B4 doin it im not able complete the tape like i want to ... so this week im going to do the tape and then head out for my run. but wow talk about a change that u can feel.
want2bejess - *hugglez* you are doing great. I mean you have tons of things to do during the day, but all you need is a work out a day. So you are doing great! My legs killed me when I did SIU, till I discovered that the streched routine helped me with easying of the burn. So.. I hope that helps. I jumped in RIU on week 2 and it didn't hurt as much as I thought it would, then again, I was doing SIU twice a day.
anxious1 and sweet_tart - thanks for the encouragement. means a lot to me. The whole being on your elbow and swinging my legs around got me moaning and groaning on how much I wanted to throw something at the TV screen. But then again I was just like then with my arms, so I think I'll do fine with the spoofy tip you gave me! thanks so very much.
youfoundjenny and x17star17x - congrats on getting SI6! I'm loving it so far, and hope you feel the same when you start out. Just think how fine you are going to look! YeeEEeeeZZzzZZ!!!! ^__^

Okay. I have the Si6 from library. How does the work out actually work? I see there is the startup rampup six pack and what not. But how does one actually follow or use the DVDs over the course of 6 weeks?
Hi everyone...it's been a week or so since i posted. OK - I swear i'm going to measure myself. I could just kick myself for not doing so in the beginning...I actually didn't want to get discouraged if i didn't see results right away.
I think i'm in week 6 however still on RIU. I really get a great work out with this one. After reading sweet_tart's post that it was hard after 30 mintues of BIU - i'm afraid to try it...hahahahhaa!
Do you all think the best time to measure if first thing in the AM? I can say that the scale is still not going down but i feel like i'm shrinking for sure. I'm looking forward to another 6 weeks out to see where i am at that time.
Welcome to all the new folks...scooterchicken: you should do SIU for 1 week, RIU for 2 weeks and then BIU for 3 weeks...
I'm too awaiting turbo jam to mix it up a bit.
WOO HOO! California weather today is near 80 degrees - that definately keeps the motivation going...lighter clothes is definately right around the corner.

julie - sorry ^^; I didn't mean to frighten people... I was not at 100% physically (last saturday wasn't it?) when I stopped at 30min. I promise, you will build your fitness level to go through 60 min in a zip. Like the double arm knee lift, in the beginning I was always trying to catch up with them. Now it's manageable.
Welcome scooter! You are the 1st guy I know who take the SI6 challenge :) Awesome!

Well Sweet_T, I will if i can actually understand how it works. Can anyone explain it to me?
welcome, everybody! I'm so happy to see you prepare to start Si6. I got very good results with it and I am sure you are going to have too!
scooter, you should have 5 videos: Start it up (siu), Ramp it up (riu), burn it up (biu), 6 pack and slim & limber (stretching). The first three are the main exercise. start with 1 week siu, followed by 2 weeks riu and 3 weeks biu. You are supposed to do 6 days in a row and rest for the 7th. The remaining 2 videos (6 Pack ans stretching) are bonus tapes. You can do those whenever you feel like it (although I would suggest to use the stretching tape as often as you can since it's purely relaxation and helps you remove the muscular pain). Have fun and keep us posted!
PIE: your results are just wonderful! Congrats! And this was only the first week...

scoooter my brother actually did this program in 2003. That is how I became a believer and then a follower of SI6. He had awesome results, guys seem to have an advantage in the fitness/wt loss area if you ask me. Hormones... I think you will do great at it.
I was able to get BIU in yesterday, was not able to get in a full ab routine on Boot Camp but today I plan on making up for it.

I am proud of myself, I am battling a nasty cold and felt horrible yesterday. I came home and fell on the couch and then got the girls in bed.
Went downstairs and there was the VCR staring at me and I swear I heard it say "Push Play"! Well, clicked on SIU instead of RIU and so glad that I did. The way I felt was awful and I felt much better wafterward!
