I found Slim  in  6  to be great for toning, it is not dreadfully hard to do. I did the 6 weeks and found my self toned!  I looked great, I did the Slim and Six pack daily too which made my abs look decent.  I have not done this in about 2 years now but would love to start it again, that is if i can get my girls to nap at the same time!  Anyone doing it, or about to start it?  I am ready for the 6 week challenge.  I am eager to start but fear not following through... I know it works!  I have seen results firsthand!  I need a buddy!

just peeking in for a little motivation before i press play on si6! hope everyone is doing good!
Hey Slim In 6 groupies...

I am sad to say that I am being called into work early tonight, 5pm,  therefore I will not be able to get in my RIU.  I did go ice skating this morning with my 3 year old, it wasnt strenuous but it was something.  I wont get back home until 6am tomorrow morning.  If I am not dead tired I plan on getting a little something in before my girls wake up.

I guess I shouldnt feel all that bad because while I am at work during my down time I do squats and lunges, but it seems different without Debbie in front of me!  haha

I wish you all the best...    Oh and I am proud to say I dropped 4.5 lbs since starting Calorie Count and Slim In 6 only 1 week ago!
Wow aly! gratz on loosing! ^_^b

And hey, any activity that is more than regular daily routine can be counted as exercise, especially ice skating.

I managed to squeeze in BIU half time for 30 min this morning before going out and walk about do window shopping. :)

Hello All,

Brand new to all this SI6 talk...but at least I got that down :) I ordered the DVD's online Sunday so I should be receiving them soon!! I guess everything is self explanatory on what to do first and how long and all that?

As far as the supplements and 2 day fast...are these necessary? who is using them/or tried them? I am totally willing to buy them, but I don't know if it is worth it.

I need all the help I can get! I have a gym membership, but I just cannot make myself go...I love the feeling when I workout and how I feel about myself. I just don't want to do it, But I am changing my outlook because NO ONE else can do it for me!!! But I do need encouragement and I LOVE new ideas!!

Thanks
Candas

I just said this morning that I was starting the SI6 again on Friday.  It really helped tone up my body last year and I dropped lbs fast.  But you do hurt.  I mean HURT.  Just keep on doing it and it will get easier.  The hardest part for me is the arms.  Those push-ups at the end are a killer.
wow aly, that's awesome! great job.

candas, i am not doing the fast and i am just taking my regular daily supplement. i don't think you need to spend the money on the supplement, but if you are going to do the fast i do recommend taking a multi vitamin.

well, i just finished my day 2 of si6. i had to start right up with biu as i said. anyways, i notice that when i get to the floor work, you know the leg raises and stuff, that's when i need to push myself. i need to work on my butt!

hope all is well!
ok - maybe I haven't read enough and need to do a quickie Google. But can you tell me more about SI6 please?

Thanks!
- Jen
Hi jenniferdiane - The DVD itself can be bought on their website or on ebay.

United also posted this review about it (disregard the e-diet thingy, unless you wanna try it. This site pushes e-diet) http://www.chasefreedom.com/slimin6.html

it's a full body workout that involves cardio as well as resistance training. It is designed as a 6 weeks program (but you can do it at your own pace).

candas - I don't think the supplement is necessary to achieve the result, especially if you are doing your own diet already. But, it's your call.

taylorn - wow taylor, you gona do BIU now? Cool! ^_^ 60 minutes, baby! burn it burn it! burn them fat! yeah!!
ha ha, yeah, i had to start on biu since i gave my friend in hawaii the first dvd! and now i live in cali and she is in south carolina. it's all good though. i remembered all the moves and felt comfortable. my hamstrings are sore though! i love it! i am so glad for this thread to push me!
Good Job Everyone!

Taylorn-I agree about their supplements and fasting.  I'm not doing the fasting either only because I am really striving to make this more of a lifestyle change not just a quick fix.  But I have heard that the liquid fast is great for just cleasing out your system.  As far as supplements I am just taking a multi vitamin and a little extra B6 and B12.

If you do plan on taking any fat burners I've been told to work out consistently for 4 weeks prior to taking them.  Allow your body to start working on it's own and if your not happy with the results then try some type of enhancment supplement.

I struggle with the leg lifts on all fours too!!!!! My butt needs some serious help.  Take care and keep up the great work!
The first time I did the Slim In 6 series I was breastfeeding so I did not do the fast.  I got results nonetheless.  I don't think it is necessary but that would be your call.  I find just drinking and not eating would drive me nuts! even if only for 2 days!
I find just drinking and not eating would drive me nuts! even if only for 2 days! -- DITTO!! ^_^;

The floor leg workout totally knocks me out! Although it does feel good and I feel my legs actually lengthening while doing it (esp during the leg straight, feet pointed up and down).

My fav moves tho are the kicking action. Side kick and front-back kick :D
.. and I suck at crunches.... still ; ;
I just did Ramp It Up, I feel better every time I complete it!  A sense of accomplishment... even if it is only 45 minutes!  I am not such a fan of the floor leg thing either.  It kills my knees/hips.  I unfortunately suffered with Lyme disease for years unitl it was finally diagnosed correctly in 2001 and it mostly affected my knees and hips... has an arthritic affect.    I do find that strenghting the muscles around major joints helps greatly, but I know my limits. So sometimes I sit that one out, I use that as my cue to switch over to my absolute fav Slim and Six Pack!

Today I used 3lbs weights rather than the resistance bands that sometimes feel awkward to me (I bought my bands at a fitness store so they are not the same as Debbies... the handles are very much different which I am not fond of).  It has the same results.

So keep it up!  You will see results... commitment, commitment, commitment!   You are worth it!

Also my husband sees a huge change in my mood (not that I am a grump) he sees that I am more upbeat and just plain HAPPY!  I told him... "mind body and spirit!"  I get such a sense of  euphoria when I exercise, and eat right!
I think my favorite is the stomach work out but I also like the squats.  It all feels great! :)

My hubby seems to notice a difference in my attitude as well.  I think it's easier to be happy when you feel accomplished!  Each day seems to be getting better and I can't wait to see what tomorrow holds for me!
today was my 3rd day. feeling good. my butt and hamstrings are the sorest, but i am feeling awesome! this is a great workout. i feel i need to add a few more calories to keep my deficit in a good range, but so far so good. keep it up everyone!

Hey Allie... Meagan... How are you girls?? hanging in there??  I am down 5 1/2 pounds!  Wanna look good for my soldier when he returns!  As far as my slim in 6?? hahaha its somewhere among the many many exercise DVDs that I have, they are better at collecting dust than playing in the DVD player... I am hitting the gym though and I will be doing the pilates ball to work my abs... Meag  guess what?  I am getting the biggest loser DVD, I ordered it... plan on using it for the rainy miserable days where I don't feel like going to the gym.... I am going to het my friend Ines in this forum... we are doing the buddy thing... she is like me and wants to get all the weight off before her husband gets  back from Iraq too!  Its definitely motivating.. plus I have my sisters to turn too when I need help!  Love you both.... miss you

Hey Susie!

I did my RIU today...  I am going to get you doing this... you'll see!  But for now do what is comfortable for you.  Your man will be thrilled with  the results, no matter how you do it!  God Bless!

Keep It Up, Keep Moving!  Hi Ines!
I just got my RUI done for today!  I hope everyone feels as great about this as I do!  I look forward to seeing everybody's post everyday.  It helps to know that we are working towards the same goal.  TO BE HEALTHIER!

Ladies....just imagine when your guys get home!!!  Their jaws will drop....talk about priceless! :)

Keep up all the great work!!!

Christin
WOW... I just managed to fit in my RIU routine for the day. I finished at 11:30pm, but the point is..... I finished! Yay! One more week of RIU, then I get to do the half-jacks... my fav.

LOL... Christin, you're soooo right... our men are gonna be happy, happy boys ;) Isn't it funny that our main goal is a healthy lifestyle... but following in a close second is the desire to make our men drool? Hey... not for nothing, but motivation is motivation. Great job guys... keep it up!!!!!
