I found Slim  in  6  to be great for toning, it is not dreadfully hard to do. I did the 6 weeks and found my self toned!  I looked great, I did the Slim and Six pack daily too which made my abs look decent.  I have not done this in about 2 years now but would love to start it again, that is if i can get my girls to nap at the same time!  Anyone doing it, or about to start it?  I am ready for the 6 week challenge.  I am eager to start but fear not following through... I know it works!  I have seen results firsthand!  I need a buddy!

yay glad to see your back sweettart!!
I am now in week four and I am have only lost 3 pounds and thats it!! I am really starting to get discouraged and with it being SO hot (at least for me) it is making it hard for me to do the excercise. I can barely make it through about 25 min of RIU before I cant breath....way to humid inside!!  I might be having sucha hard time because I only have like 10 pounds to lose...but it would have been nice to at least see an inch gone off my waiste hehe. But I am not going to give up....Ill see it through and hope that all this hard work pays off. Not trying to discourage anyone...sorry if I am....just looking for some encouragement....I am probably having a problem because I dont have much to lose...my main thing is the lose the love handles and tummy! Any advise for me hehe...I barely have the will to push play ; ).
Hah! Tell me how it took me an hour and 15 mins to get through BIU (burn it up).
I woke up this morning feeling like a midget sucker punched my left hamstring!
It been over two months. And I thought I was doing to be good with RIU (ramp it up), but I totally forgot how your muscles get use to what you're throwing at them.
I didn't loose any weight for two weeks (was stuck at 152). And that was bad for me, since my goal is to lost 10 lbs a month. So this morning I'm finally at 148.2.
I don't even sweat the diet thing anymore, it just comes natural.

I hope everyone is doing well with the program. Here are my stats. I want everyone to know, that this is a great program, but be aware that it's based on how motivated you are to lose weight.
Start Date: March 2
Weight: 148.2 (from 170)
R Mid-Thigh: 21 (from 24)
L Mid Thigh: 21 (from 23)
Right Upper Arm: 12 (from 14)
Left Upper Arm: 12 (from 14)
Chest: 37 (from 41)
Hips: 34 (from 40)
Waist:36 (from 40)

*hugglez to all* *mocks Debbie* MOST IMPORTANTLY, HAVE FUN!

Could Someone Help me with this program.  I bought it for like a yearh and haven't started yet.  Bad me.  It's so difficult to begin.  Anyhow, i was looking through the food plan, I dont understand how the FRuit one, FRuiT TWO stuff works.  So I get to chose one item on the "Fruit One" list everytime it says "FRUIT ONE" or do i have to eat the whole list everytime it says "FRUIT ONE"?

HELP confused fat girl.  *SOB*

By the way, please private message  or email me since I may miss your messages, it's so difficult to find this part of the forum.  I cant get to used to this search engine.

Thanks,

Fat Onigiri
Oh yes, I forgot to mention.  Perhaps I have missed this reading through the instructions but.. how often are we actually allowed to use that 6 days express program?  O_o

I need to lose 78 lbs to be normal :(
I need motivation... does someone have good results from using this program?  Any diet pills "supplement pills" would be my last resort/alternative.

I need a buddy too LOL...

My package came in !!!! SLIM IN 6 .. :D *
I'll start this monday with SIU ****
Hi! For those who need motivation......try this. Visualize yourself thinner...start thinking about how your body is going to change. Carefully monitor what you are putting into your body ~ its a huge part of this program......Now I have been doing the program for a week. I thought it would be a faster way to shape up with less time. I'm a f/t teacher and a f/t student in the evening PLUS a bride to be in about a month....so if i could do it! u can ; )

I was afraid that I wouldn't be challenged enough, but thats not the case. I;m use to spending 2 hours a day at the gym, but because I really can't (they will be closed when i get out of class) I had to find something I could do at 6am. I must eat breakfast first though ( a whole grain :kashie: cereal) So I wake up at 5 and I'm ready by 6. I finished my first week and I've heard several compliments so far. IN addition to ramp it up....I ran about 3 times over the week at night time, did a 45 minute pilates tape on friday night, and  I also did a circuit training session at the gym on saturday.

I'll be checking back in! I havent seen big numbers falling on the scale, but its inches i'm after anyways...and this program is definitely a "fat-burning" program......

I have been reading through all your postings and this looks like a great opportunity to motivate each other!!!  I was a little bummed this morning, but after reading all your postings I feel better.

I would like to lose about 20 pounds, but am also very focused on getting toned and losing inches.  I used to work out every day years ago after I had my kids (they are 11 and 14 now) and was very fit, but I find it very hard to motivate myself these days.  Everyone says I look good and that I am thin, but I don't feel good.  I purchased Slim in 6 and started in on May 3rd.  Did Start it up for 2 days, then moved to RIU (I am pretty active on a daily basis), so I have been doing it for about 9 days (I missed 2 days last week).  I feel really good and I can tell I am building muscle, so I was excited, but then yesterday I put on some pants I haven't worn in a couple of weeks and they are TIGHTER than they have ever been!!!  How frustrating!  On the infommercial all those people talk about how they noticed a difference in their clothes getting looser in a week, and mine are getting tighter.

I am glad to hear a lot of you say that you have lost weight with this program.  I am going to stick with it, and try to re-vamp my diet and eat a little better this week.  If any of you have suggestions I would be most happy to hear them!
I can't find the link on amazon, but there's a comment about how the routine is 70 + minutes each time. Does this mean that you do the SIU for the 25 minutes and immediately do the RIU after for another 35 or so minutes or is this person just doing it wrong. I understand it's 1 week with the 25 minute routine, 2 weeks with the next and 3 weeks with the next, not more than one in a day right?

not sure about the 70 + minutes - I will check my book when I get home and see what it says.
flgirl - welcome! The 3 Programs are designed to be done separately in progression. You started with SIU for 2 days - a week until comfortable with the routine then move to the next program, RIU. Do that for a week or more then move to the next program BIU.   SIU is 25min, RIU 45min and BIU 60min.

Anyone new to the program can check my Profile. I laid out a summary on the program and my take on it.
Hi all!  I just started SI6 today, and am looking for support!  I am a mother of a 6 month little girl, and have struggled with weight on and off the past few years.  With my daughter, came 60lbs!  I have lost 25lbs of it, and am looking to lose the rest with SI6 and healthy eating.  I hurt my knee a month ago, and am just starting to get back into the swing of things.

I stated above, I just started the SIU workout.  I know the books recommend only 2 or 3 days of SIU and I was wondering if anyone did it longer then this, and how much of a change in my body should I expect (if I eat right)?
Hi crazineko! Make sure your knees are healed and wont give you any problems before starting any exercise.

Here is some reminder for people with Knee Problem:

Lunges - spread the legs wider & farther apart to lessen the strain. By doibng so it is also easier to keep the right position of your knee-ankle. The lunge knee always has to be pretty much above your ankle, definitely beyond your toes. Something close to 90° bend is what you look for. Drill your weight into the heel of the lunging leg. You are in the right position if you feel the burning on your glut & quad (butt and top of your thighs).

Squats - legs position slightly wider apart than hips is easier to maintain your balance (this is based on my own experience). Again, knees should be close to making 90° bend. Placed all your weight on the heels.

For both:
- Chest always straight facing up. Look up front can help keep this posture.
- Have a chair next to you for balance IS OK. Lightly placed one of your hand for balance (not support). If traveling/moving lunges is hard, do STATIC lunges. That means you keep your legs in the apart position, and only raising your body up and down.
- You don't have to follow Debbie's pace, not if it means injuring yourself. So you did 6 reps lunges instead of 8. It is not quantity tat counts, it is intensity. And intensity differs with individual.

Oh about the schedule, I do RIU for a week (5-7 times). Point is to make sure you are comfortable with that routine before moving on to the next. (Check my profile to see summary and my take on SI6 if you like).  That diet plan is basically a sensible eating habit. So if your diet is already good and healthy, no point of changing them.

Changes in your body will be different from others. Some see result after a week, some after months. BUT, for sure you will FEEL the difference and NOTICE it as well. Once you got muscles in you and the fat start to melt out ... mmmm that is such a euphoric feeling ~.^

Sorry for the long post LOL (this is what happen when I am away after so long :p ).
Thanks for the information Sweet_tart!  I am on day three, and I am doing some of the modified versions of the squats and lunges.  I have no pain when I do SI6, but I do have stiffness, which is why I am trying to be carfull.  What I have noticed is that my knee feels better after I do SI6, yay!

I think I am going to continue SIU until Monday, then try RIU next week.  I am really motivated to complete this workout!! :)
Who in here are on BIU for a while now?
How's everyone's weekend? :) How is everyone doing? I picked up BIU yesterday for a good 1 hr sweat-round. *hoof*... that floor legwork just bound to get you when you are away from it for a while ;)

I ordered my SI6 last week, it shipped on Friday, woo hoo! Thanks to all of you, I am more motivated than ever!!

Hi I just googled slim in 6 and came up w/ this and read some of the posts here. I am just going to start it tonight, got it in the mail last week! I am very excited but I am worried about the diet part. I am NOT a healthy eater and a very picky eater too so I am hoping that the exercising part will give me some results! I never had problems w/ weight and I could always eat whatever i wanted but now after my 2 girls, ages 3 and 1, I have decided that the weight is not going to just fall off like i thought and assumed it would! Hopefully I can stay motivated!!!
I started my first Slim in 6 dvd today! wow, i feel like i accomplished alot and im hoping to defenitly keep it up. i was wondering if anyone had the diet guide and what i half to do to follow it? i would be extremely grateful.. if you need to email it plz send to beautifully_broken_19@hotmail.com thank you soooooooooo much in advance.
