I found Slim  in  6  to be great for toning, it is not dreadfully hard to do. I did the 6 weeks and found my self toned!  I looked great, I did the Slim and Six pack daily too which made my abs look decent.  I have not done this in about 2 years now but would love to start it again, that is if i can get my girls to nap at the same time!  Anyone doing it, or about to start it?  I am ready for the 6 week challenge.  I am eager to start but fear not following through... I know it works!  I have seen results firsthand!  I need a buddy!

Thanks!
Hi joseslmin6 - check out my profile for summary on that program :) Welcome!
Hi, I also am starting the S16 program, I am very excited about it. Good luck to you !!! My guidebook was accidentally thrown out and I don't know what the routine should be, could you email the routine of how many work outs a week to do and which ones and when to advance, it would be greatly appreciated, good luck!!
Hi everyone,

Yesterday I found the SI6 program. I'm starting it tomorrow. Thanks to everyone for great advices. I really need your help...hope that we'll motivate each other to achieve good results in the end of the six weeks.

Wish you a good week!=)
Ok,  Im convinced!   I started Slim in Six for the first time 3 years ago, and got great results really quickly,  and have managed to keep that weight off  (192 to 170)  And I didnt even complete the whole program.  I only did Burn it up for a few days,  and then I lost motivation,  I dont even remember the reason.

Anyways,  Im rambling.  In March I was at my parents for a month, and 4 of us started the videos,  we did them together every day ,and made each other do them, and ate well,  but after 3 weeks of not really seeing much results,  and not knowing where the burn it up dvd was lol,  we again gave up.

But summers fast approaching,  and those bathing suits are haunting me every time I open the drawer!  So Im in again!  Im determined to make it through this time,  I know burn it up is where you really see results,  with good reason,  its sooo hard,  so I got to make it to that part.   6 weeks from today marks just a couple days before my bday!  We can do it!

Also,  I get really great results from the ab video,  even when I have lost all motivation,  I can still usually fit in the 11 mins,  the burning feels so good,  and these love handles are out of control!

Is anyone else Just starting the 6 weeks now?  I could REALLY use the buddy system for motivation!
It seems the forum thread has lot a lot of people!

Starting weight:   165
Starting Date:   Tues, May 29th
6 Weeks from now:   Tues,  July 10th
Hi Tashagee,

Today is my second day.  Yesterday I woke up in 6 a.m. and did the Start It Up program. It's new for men, i have never done it before. It was hard for me... and i did a lot of breaks.

Now I am going to do my second workout :-)

Wish you a great day, full of smiles:-)
I've done it!!! Yeah...feeling great :-)
I started today, Ill keep in touch with both you guys!
I am wondering about this slim in 6. I love doing cardio at the gym, but I hate doing the weights, for various reasons. I like to use free weights and would like to use them at home, but I need more motivation otherwise I just sit on the couch, maybe pick them up and do a curl or two then I think I am done.

Is slim in 6 good for toning? I know it is cardio too, but if I am looking to tone with weights, something somewhat challenging, is this what I am looking for? If not, any suggestions on other video tapes that use free weights/resistance bands? I even like doing squats and lunges but I need somebody there saying more more keep it up!! or else I don't.
and also, what happens after 6 weeks???
I'm doing the happy dance, my SI6 comes tomorrow! I'll probably start it either tomorrow night or Friday morning, I'm siked!!!
today is my second day of SI6 and so far I think it is great. My thighs are sore from the lunges and squats and my arms are a little sore too, but I should stretch more. I would really like it if someone could be my partner and do this with me so we can motivate each other.
I bought the program in 2004 and did it for awhile after I had a miscarriage.  Since then, I have had 2 babies (I now have a 15 yr old; 13 yr old; 2 yr old and 9 month old) and I am really wanting to start the program again.  My oldest child has been pushing me to do it with him - it is just finding the time.  I would be interested in an online buddy for motivation!
I started this morning, I'm trying to figure how to log it.

Calories Burned for Activity: Calisthenics(e.g Pushups, Situps, Pullups, Jumping Jacks), Heavy, Vigorous Effort

502 calories per hour

***This looks about right, about 200 +/- for 25 minutes...??

It's quite intense. I sat down and ate my salad for dinner in front of the tv while watching SIU and I was thinking, this is going to be so easy! Boy was I wrong! It was a great workout! I got all the workouts on one dvd including the stretching and 6 pack abs, it's a double disc actually. Seems like it's been modernized since first coming out? I can turn the music off if I want, seems to be the major complaint about the program but it's not bad!

Anyhow, I just started so if you gals needing a buddy need me I'm here, I know I'll be needing you to stick with it!!

oops double post, don't know how to get rid of it!
i am waiting for my Slim in 6 to come in the mail, anyone have any suggestions that I can do while i wait? i looked thru all the posts, but no one actually says what the 6 day express entails...like should i hit the store for fresh fruit, etc.??????? sounds like i should stock up on some pain rub for my thighs too! LOL (actually hoping to FIND my thighs with this program...

thanks in advance for your reply
Cathmomof5, I trained beforehand with squats and lunges, 2-3 sets of 15 or so each. I don't think you can totally prepare for the whoopin that you will endure though, lol, it's intense!!
Ok you all have got me convinced. I bought the program over a year ago and got totally bored. Now I'm going to pull it out and try again. I think I'll use my own music with it this time though.
Does anybody send me the diet book(plan) of this program?

Thanks
