Anyone doing SLIM IN 6?
I found Slim in 6 to be great for toning, it is not dreadfully hard to do. I did the 6 weeks and found my self toned! I looked great, I did the Slim and Six pack daily too which made my abs look decent. I have not done this in about 2 years now but would love to start it again, that is if i can get my girls to nap at the same time! Anyone doing it, or about to start it? I am ready for the 6 week challenge. I am eager to start but fear not following through... I know it works! I have seen results firsthand! I need a buddy!
I'm glad to see all the positive posts! I just ordered SI6 yesterday and can't wait 'til it gets here. For the past six weeks I have been doing Tae Bo and The Firm every morning with zero results. I did the Firm a few years ago and lost a few inches, but this time... nothing. I think my body is used to the workout and I hope that just having something new (SI6) will make the difference. I've found through the years that the same diet plan never seems to work twice. The body remembers!
I just started SI6 today. I really enjoyed it. It looked kind of easy and then by the end of the work out I was already feeling it. I am looking very forward to tomorrow. Its nice to excersise to a video and not need a million gadgets. I also like to know that I am working hard when I can feel it already. Anyways, I will keep posted. You can do it. I did it as soon as everyone went to bed tonight. I am going to start doing it in the morning before they all get up though. I was just anxious to check it out.
Hey All you Slim in Sixers!
I just started RIU yesterday and holy crap did it kick my butt!! I can really feel it today but I'm so excited about it! I totally can see how it will change my body and get me back in shape...those leg lifts killed me but I'll keep at it until I get the body I've been dreaming of...how are you all doing?

Hi all! So good to see that this thread is still alive and well :D
For all of you who got discouraged by not-losing-weight as much as you would expect:
Keep in mind that this is going to give you a result that you can keep in the long run. The progress, while slower on some people is going to stick.
The slower pace of SI6 (in comparison to some other workout, like Taebo or Turbo Jam etc) especially in the RIU seems to be intended to focus on your muscles more. Consider this: If you are moving your arm in biceps curl very slow, with 8 counts up and 8 counts down, you will be able to concentrate on the creating the movement from your muscles instead of relying on swinging momentum. That works the muscles harder.
In essence you are doing resistance training as you cardio along the workout. 2 for the price of 1! ^_^
As your muscles formed, your weight will increase slightly, countering your intention of losing weight. So, my suggestion is to shift your focus a little. Aim for visual progress. The INCHES not just pounds. After all the goal of the workout is to look good, right? :)
Keep it up!

just got my Polar F6! ^__^v
Now for the long awaited answer on how much I burn doing BIU. Also I have not been doing BIU for a while. It will be fun as my muscles probably not used to the movements anymore (hope so).

I just got my SI6 in the mail and im going to start SIU today. YAY!
Here is the result from Polar F6 doing Burn It Up. Keep in mind the result I got will and may be different from others. That is because of difference in each person's Heart Rate, Body Condition (age, height, fitness level, weight, etc). So, with those in mind, I am:
Female
35 years
5' 2"
105 lbs
small built
consider myself fit enough
I haven't been doing BIU at least for 1 month
Starting HR when sitting down, motionless: 75-78
Total workout: 60min
Total calories burned: 285 cal, with estimated 45% burn fom Fat
Heart Rate: 164 max, 124 avg
In-Zone HR: 129-147, for 21min 14sec.
Now this may not seem much to you. (.."what??? 1 hour of muscle aching workout for only less than 300cal??...") :p
The answer is: SI6 incorpporates a lot of resistance training in the workout. Not merely cardio. You noticed how sore your muscles are from doing stand up crunches, squats, lunges, etc. And a lot of sets are slow pace. That forces the muscles to work harder. As other resistance training, you also reap the post-workout benefit.
I compared this with my Turbo Jam/Punch Kick & Jam workout. Fast pace high energy cardio. This one does have a resistance training in the end but not as much as SI6.
Here is the result:
Total workout time: 49min
Total calories: 317 cal, 35% burn from Fat
Heart rate: 171 (92%) max , 147 (79%) avg
In-Zone HR: 129-147 for 10min 44sec.
So in shorter time while I do burn more calories, my in-zone is only half the time doing BIU, burn from fat is less, max HR is higher. This is due to different in activity. With Turbo Jam, it is more about caardio, heart rate is pumped up most of the time, with short interval of breaks. And while achieving higher calories burn, it is less in building muscles.
Not saying one is better than other, it is really 2 different workouts with different objectives.

Good morning everyone. I would like to join your forum. I have ordered SI6 and am waiting patiently. It should arrive any day now. I am thrilled to start, especially after reading most of the postings in this forum. Well everyone, have a nice day and I am looking forward to sharing my experiences with you and the support you give.
Hey all...i'm so excited! I just finished only one week of Slim in six and i've already lost an inch on my waist! sweet!
I know it's crazy, last time I went to the Doctor, I weighed 235 I'm 5ft 11 inches and only 17. But after 2 weeks of slim in six, I tried hard the first week but then kind of got tired of it the second week but after I weighed myself, I was down to 225 and my family noticed before I did.
I'm going to stick to it because next year is my senior year and I want to make the most out of it!

Mine is in the mail right now... can't wait to start!!
7 weeks til my cruise!!

Hey Guys! Congrats everyone!
Im so excited to see everyones sticking to it!!
I have had so many things that I didnt want to look like 'i was walking with a board up my butt' as it was put so nicely lol, so I havent been really consistent.
But Ive been sticking to a perfect diet according to calorie counter (which is much better then any details that come with SI6 anyways) and doing the 6pk workout, which I LOVE! Swimming, and climbing a lot of stairs, And am finally starting to see results!
I actually seen 159 on the scale 2 days ago, I was estatic! I havent been in the 150's in, let me think, 6 years!
Im so excited for all my family reunions this weekend and my university friends wedding. I still have a month to tone up! Im gonna knock their socks off!
Good work everyone!! Just keep pressin play! :)

Also, if anyone uses gmail for their email, it has a great built in calendar that I use to track which workouts I do each day. I have a seperate calender for my workout items that show up in bright pink. It helps to motivate me and see how well Ive been doing.
Anyways, were allowed to share the calendars with each other, so if anyone needs some extra motivation and workout buddies, let me know! I find it helpful to see other people have done it that day, im like 'well, if they can do it, so can I!'

Hi All,
I am going to order SI6. I saw the infomercial this past weekend and have thought about it frequently since. Then I saw this forum and really got excited. I even rearranged my living room so that I would have enough room to exercise!
I have lost 42 pounds since the end of October 2005. I've done it in 20# increments. This last 23# has left me baggy, saggy, and I have GOT to tighten up! My behind has fallen and I have to LIFT it up!!
I feel sooo much better now at 186# than I did at 229# that it is amazing. So if I can tone and tighten the other 20# off before January 2008 (my next Yearly Physical) both the Doctor and I will be thrilled.
Best of Luck to everyone involved!
Dianne

Hi all: glad to hear everyone is so excited and doing well. I am still sticking to my BIU. The question was asked if you could start BIU early...I started it after only 2 wks because I felt I was ready...it's really difficult, but I feel so good after I do it, like I have really accomplished something.
The only thing is, I am still frustrated with my results....I have gotten great definition and muscle tone, which I love, but I still have not dropped any sizes....it has been almost 6 wks now. I did drop 4 lbs, but after almost 6 wks and all the wonderful results everyone else is getting I should see more than that. I am not going to quit because I like the way I feel, just hoping for more results soon. I also cut way back on my diet, I used to snack every night and haven't even been doing that. let me know if anyone has any suggestions.

Wow! So I'm in week 2 now and just started RIU yesterday. Totally kicked my butt! I agree that the leg lifts are pretty intense...I get a bit tired on the bicep curl/squats too, but I'm determined to do this! I'm combining the workouts with WeightWatchers. Anybody else? Right now I'm hoping to lose about 20-30 pounds and tone, tone, tone! Size 6, here I come:)
Again, great job EVERYONE on the efforts, determination, and inches lost!:)
Again, great job EVERYONE on the efforts, determination, and inches lost!:)
I started my week 2 of SI6 today. I love it. The more the burn the better. I am also doing the extra ab and stretch routines too. I am a weight watchers lifetime member and have gained a few pounds back. So I am trying to get remotivated for that. I started SI6 at 140 pounds and would love to be at 125 size 6 for my ultimate goal. Toning will be nice too!!
I'm beginning week 3 of RIU. I FEEL great, and I FEEL my muscles taking form but I don't SEE anything yet. Maybe I need to throw on the same shorts/sports bra and take my pics and compare to week 1? I'm still moving on, moving on, moving on, not giving up but really want to SEE more results instead of just FEELING them. Perhaps feeling them is the step into seeing? I don't know. I'm 5'4" and my scale varies from 138 all the way to 143... makes me mad! Yes I know I will have daily variances. I want to be at 125 but am willing to take a toned body over weight loss any day.
I'm getting discouraged.....
