Anyone doing SLIM IN 6?
I found Slim in 6 to be great for toning, it is not dreadfully hard to do. I did the 6 weeks and found my self toned! I looked great, I did the Slim and Six pack daily too which made my abs look decent. I have not done this in about 2 years now but would love to start it again, that is if i can get my girls to nap at the same time! Anyone doing it, or about to start it? I am ready for the 6 week challenge. I am eager to start but fear not following through... I know it works! I have seen results firsthand! I need a buddy!
are we supposed to complete all of the reps that debbie does in the video before moving on to the next one? i've been doing SIU for a week now and i'm not sure whether to move on to RIU or not. i can do most of the moves and reps exept for the plies and squats, but i don't feel the same soreness i did when i first started. for those who are in RIU and BIU, what was your indication of moving up to the next video?
Poll:
What is everyone going to do when they are finished with SI6?
I'm in my first week of SI6. I'm thinking about doing power 90 and after that P90X... so i will be busy working out for 6 months

Thanks to someone from Calorie-count I got these DVD's and intend to use them! I started the SIU and have been sore, extremly sore for the last 3 days. Some of the info wasn't included so i wondered what DVD's I should be doing for each week.. anyone who can just tell me by week would great! I love it so far!
thanks to everyone in advance.
thanks to everyone in advance.
You do SIU for a few days to a week until you are comfortable. The program then says to do RIU for week 2-4 and maybe 5 having week six be all BIU. I am on week four starting tomorrow and I am going to do RIU. Next week I am going to mix it up to get used to BIU and alternate days. Its just really your own comfort levels. There are more plies and squats in RIU but not tons so if you are comfortable with the rest of SIU you should move on to RIU.
Just checkin' in! I started week 4 today and BIU-holy crap! It was INTENSE> I think i will alternate RIU with BIU for this week and then see how I feel for next week...i DID make it thru the whole 59 minutes though and that is a major feat considering where I started 3 weeks ago!
Just a quick question, I was supossed to start week 4 yesterday. I woke up with some major back pain and again today so I took it easy and didnt do the videos. What would you guys do? Would you just pick up where you left off or would you just wait and start back at week one next week? I feel like I have blown the whole point in the program and am a little disappointed but my back is hurting and I dont feel that excersising it will help it any. Thanks!
Cool! A Slim in 6 Thread Yay!
I just started Slim in 6 today. I got this DVD last year and I had done a couple weeks of it but I stopped. I did get some good results though. But I've recently started exercising again (Walk Away the Pounds and gym) and want to start this workout again.
I just started Start it Up this morning and felt more comfortable doing it than the first time I did it. But, I'm probably in better shape than I was last year. I think I'm going to give RIU a try tommorow morning and see how it feels. Otherwise I'll stay with the SIU for a few days. I'm very excited to see what results I'll have.

souzatwin76,
Your back pain was due to the workout? If yes, then you need to check your form and take it easy during the workout. Remember to always do it at your own intensity and pace.
Regardless the cause, I would rest until I feel no more pain. In the mean time, do regular cardio such as jogging or walking etc. And then after recover, if indeed the cause of the pain was from that particular workout, I would do the previous less challenging routine. If the pain is not from the workout I would just continue where I left off.

I dont think that it is from the workout. Unfortunatley I think maybe from that stupid expensive bed. But I was pushing myself hard too to excersise and get it right. Thanks for all the advice. I think Im gonna take a few days off and hit it hard again!
My friends and i are starting it soon! I can't wait!
Hey Ladies! It has been forever since I have posted. I have not been on CC in a while. Pregnant now with #3 I am anxious to have this baby and start the SI6 program again! I am havign a c section on Nov 29th. I have gained about 12 pounds and now I am just about 20 weeks along! I have not been too good with the diet, not easy to be good with cravings and aversions! I am still active with walks, pushing a double stroller with a 3 year old and an 18 month old in it! I am excited to see that this post has been going strong since January!
Ladies I will be back... look for me in December!
Sounds like you have had some reat results keep up the good work! You can find tons of support here!

Hello :) Newbie on board !!!
I just finished my very first 25 minutes of Slim in 6 - Start it Up today. I like it a lot (not too hard to follow) but I'm not very sure if I can keep up with the 6 days/week routine though. I'll try my best!
Thanks to my twin tmmachado for recommending this to me. I started to get bored of walking on a treadmill so I decided to give SI6 a try and I love it :)
alydaven, CONGRATS on your 3rd baby! *^_^*

I started SI6 three days ago. Its probably the 5th time I've strarted (and I've never carried on for longer than 3 or 4 days) But now I'm determined on sticking with it! Does anyone know how long you should stay with Start It Up (in Days) before you Go To Ramp It Up?
How much weight has everyone lost from SI6?
ALY!!!! How was Punta Cana? Gratz on the current pregnancy. I am sure you will be in shape again right afterwards and in no time with SI6! I miss your postings.

hope2slim, check my profile, you can get a sumamry of the program.
jericco_s - any exercise program should give you good result provided you stick to it. I heard Power90 is pretty good. However, since I am doing Turbo Jam at the moment. Until I got bored with it I have no plan to try out other new ones just yet.
The diet plan is basic sensible diet. Eat 5-6 times a day starting with Breakfast preferable within 1 hour after you wake up. Every main meal you need to have a combination of complex carb, protein, & fat. Snack usually nuts and or fruit (not fruit juice the kind you buy att he store. those are loaded with sugar). Drink a lot of water, cut down on sugar.

Alydaven: congrats on your 3rd baby!
Merika: I am so glad that you are trying SI6! As others here can attest, you won't be disappointed!
I had a bad weekend with it. I took Friday, Saturday and Sunday off because I was so busy! I will be back to BIU tonight. I am in my 6th week now! :) I will continue with BIU for maybe a couple more weeks. I also ordered Turbo Jam on Friday so I can't wait to get that and try that too!

I was wondering if anyone out there had a copy of SI6 that they would like to sell. If so please email me at rio.little@ns.sympatico.ca. I will be starting with walking until I can a copy. I quit smoking 4 months ago. I had lost 40 lbs 2 years ago and put it all back on since I have quit smoking. I have no clothes that fit and refuse to purchase any. I have so many wonderful outfits that are waiting for me. I wear sweat pants and baggy sweatshirts to cover my weight gain. Do I sound depressed??? Well, I guess that I am not what you call happy. My bf says that he is not at all bothered by the extra weight...which I know that he is happy no matter what I look like....but I just am not as comfortable with myself as I would like to be. So if someone out there has a copy they can part with I would love to purchase it from you. Thanks for letting me "VENT"

Hi everyone!
I started my second round of SI6 Friday, with SIU again. After RIU and BIU, Debbie moves so slow in SIU! Kind of funny. Did not have the best weekend in terms of eating habits, but am starting fresh today! I can't wait to see continued results with my second round! Cheers!

deltadawn43: Congrats on quitting smoking. I am sure that will be harder to do than losing the weight.
crazineko: Congrats to you on starting your second round of SI6! I don't have the motivation to start all over after I finish the 6 weeks. I will continue on with BIU though. As I said in my earlier post, I ordered Turbo Jam so I can't wait to start a new workout. I will probably alternate between TJ and BIU for awhile though. I love the results that I am getting from BIU and hope that it continues for awhile!
