I found Slim  in  6  to be great for toning, it is not dreadfully hard to do. I did the 6 weeks and found my self toned!  I looked great, I did the Slim and Six pack daily too which made my abs look decent.  I have not done this in about 2 years now but would love to start it again, that is if i can get my girls to nap at the same time!  Anyone doing it, or about to start it?  I am ready for the 6 week challenge.  I am eager to start but fear not following through... I know it works!  I have seen results firsthand!  I need a buddy!

Hi All (^_^)/

Since I started my first SI6 (Start it up) last week, my lower body got so sore that I couldn't push the play button again *sigh*

I know I know...I'm a loser (T_T)

I thought the program was pretty easy to follow but gosh, the result was intense!  (I also increased my activity on a treadmill the same day, so both SI6 and Treadmill killed my legs)

I feel much better today.  I can walk without limping around now and I can't wait to see Debbie's pretty face again ;)
I must say that I did the same thing.  I got on the treadmill as well as doing the videos and got burnt out quickly!! So take it one day at a time!  Maybe do one in the morning and the other at night.  Are you doing the stretches??
Where do you buy this SI6 set of five DVDs? I prefer to buy it new (just to make sure everything is included), but so far I can't find it on chapters.ca or amazon.com or amazon.ca!  The only thing I found was individual videos for the RIU or BIU, etc.  It comes as a set, right?  And is eBAY my only option to buy it?
Ok, nevermind. I think I found it..but only online.  Do stores usually carry this?
HI!

Thought I'd answer a couple of the issues here.

SI6 was meant to be used ON IT"S OWN as a total body workout for 6 weeks.  I read on the Slim in 6 message boards that it is not recommended to do much other cardio besides the videos since you'll burn yourself out and not have the energy that the slim in 6 program requires.  Just thought i'd share...Once you get to RIU and BIU you'll see why.

Yes, you can only buy it online.  I bought it on ebay for way cheaper than at beachbody and it was brand new.

HOpe all is well with everyone!  I'm still working on RIU/BIU alternating days.
I just bought it on ebay....I looked for the cheapest thing with cheap/fast shipping...I have 7 weeks until my goal so the plan works perfect as long as I get it in a week.  It's coming from the States though (I'm in Canada), so it'll likely get stuck at customs and come way late...I'm crossing my fingers!

How fast did you guys begin to see results? Not necessarily on the scale, but more visually noticable.  I'm expecting six weeks, but if the dvd comes late in the mail and I only get part way through it before my goal date (seeing my boyfriend after three months), it would be nice to have a noticable difference.

Thanks!
The seller said it may take 4 weeks to come... :( :( :(  I know I can do cardio and other things until it comes but the idea of it being six weeks and my goal date being 7 weeks away was a lot of motivation to stick to it.
souzatwin76 Thanks for the advice!  I didn't stretch.  I warmed up a little (walking, jumping around) but did not do any streches at all.  I'm highly INFLEXIBLE :(  When standing, I can't even touch my toes without bending the knees.

I'm getting back to the program today (in about an hour actually :) and I'll definitely try to do streches first !!!
Go ahead and do cardio if you are still at Start it Up :)
But i agree with marissamb. Once you hit BIU, well, you see :)

I managed to do 30min cardio while doing SIU and RIU. When I was at BIU, I split the time. cardio 30min in the morning and BIU evening. More manageable. If you are going to do that, make sure you eat enough protein throughout the day, and carb about 1hr prior your second exercise of the day for energy.
I definately agree with Sweet_tart and Marissamb!  The RIU and BIU are killer workouts by themselves, and you don't need to add cardio into the mix.  The 6 week program itself is pretty intense, and can be draining.  If you insist on additional cardio, make sure you eat enough!  I found that I was underestimating the number of calories needed for me when doing RIU and BIU.  Be careful not to burn yourself out! :)
hello everyone! i have been secretly watching your thread until my slim in 6 arrives. reading all of the post is really so motivating. i am hoping that talking to everyone here will help me stick with the program. do you mind if i drop in and chat with you over the next couple of months??
Hey everybody!  I had never heard of Slim in 6 until today.  I started reading this thread and decided to buy it.  Sounds like such a great plan!  I bought it off of ebay (factory sealed, saved me about 20 bucks).

I will likely need some help staying motivated to do it, but I'm feeling good after reading some of the success stories here.

Slim in 6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Can't wait!
HELP I read somewhere in this thread that someone got slim in 6 on netflix.  I have tried every search on their website but  I cannot find it.  Can anyone help?

Just started my third week today and tried BIU. It's really a workout. But I got through all of it with a couple of mini breaks.  So far I've had good results in my first two weeks. I lost 2 and a half lbs and an inch of my  hips and my waist. Only 4 more weeks to go.

Hey all...I went out of town for a couple of weeks the end of June and haven't done the workout's since.....I really need to get back into it, but I was getting frustrtated that I had been doing it for 5 wks with no weight loss or inches lost.  I did build a lot of muslce and could see a lot of definintion, but I want to fit into my clothes....My goal is to get started this weekend.
Hello All...

I have been doing Slim in 6 for one week now.  Im not doing the recomended diet by beach body.com.. but have cut out anything with sugar.  What is everyone doing as far as diet goes and has anyone lost serious pounds doing this program??? If I dont see results in the next week to week and a half I think im going to go back to running.

Thanks =D

I am buying SI6 today. I am having a problem with age. Everything is going straight to the middle. I am gaining weight so easily. Losing has become almost impossible so I am aimimg for the physical excersice. Maybe I can reshape. Any thoughts???

I am going to be 50 in the next few weeks. I don't look or act like like it so I want ot get rid of this tell tale roll.

Can I join you in the excersice support? I know you started it so long ago and I would be thrilled to have others out there to keep me going?
This is a good thread for motivation and support. I think people also communicate off the thread via PM.  ^_^

jodalah, age is not a barrier, I am following Turbo Jam DVD right now (after doing SI6), and there is this woman, fit as a fittle, I am not talking about crazy ripped body or anything, but she is definitely toned and high energy, and she is 51!!!! I swear I thought she would be early 40.

Eating well and balance helps with energy level and how you feel. And that goes without saying regardless of age.

lighblueeyes73, I was not doing the beachbody diet either and I think not many do actually. It is simply balance and sensible diet, where you eat 5 times a day, and have enough protein, complex carbs, fruits and healthy fats.  I didn't lose pounds in the program (since I really can't afford any to lose...) but, I do lose inches and get in shape - physically and fitness level.

Some people see progress in as short as 1 week, some in the last 2 weeks. I think, among other things, it depends on how much you need or can afford to lose and where you are in the fitness level. Good luck! :)
Hey everyone! Just saw the infomercial... and yes I'm a sucker so I thought I'd see what people on here thought about it! One question though.... is this for people who are already close to their desired weight and just need toning?? I have like 80lbs to lose... am I even going to be able to do it? I'm assuming the workouts are required every day for the 6 weeks?
I'm not sure if I have the money to drop right now.... I looked on ebay though and I'm not sure what to get... it looks like there are some different versions or something? Anyone know about that? Thanks to anyone who could help!!
