I found Slim  in  6  to be great for toning, it is not dreadfully hard to do. I did the 6 weeks and found my self toned!  I looked great, I did the Slim and Six pack daily too which made my abs look decent.  I have not done this in about 2 years now but would love to start it again, that is if i can get my girls to nap at the same time!  Anyone doing it, or about to start it?  I am ready for the 6 week challenge.  I am eager to start but fear not following through... I know it works!  I have seen results firsthand!  I need a buddy!

Morning, (notice I left off the "good" part)  I am so sore. Yesterday was day two and I progressivly go more sore as the day went on. I didn't do SIU on day 2--too sore. I did walk the tred mill for awhile and did the stretch & SI6Pack so I did do something. But this morning I woke up still sore. I knew I was out of shape, but didn't thing I was that bad....I can't wait to get back to it because I know it will be great if I'm already this sore. Hopefully this afternoon, otherwise tomorrow for sure.

Tiggergimo: Are you sore? How many days have you done SIU? Can you walk down stairs? I feel like my legs are bruised. And don't even mention my butt!!!

Chic: let me know if you get sore. You're supposed to do SIU for 2 days then move on...I may take a few more days before I move on since I didn't do SIU yesterday and my not today (we'll see if I can walk downstairs to the basement when I get home from work ;) As for your question, when you click quote the previous post will be quoted in your reply. If you click reply you will start with an empty box. usually I think you use quote when you are replying to an earlier post so everyone knows what your talking about.

Well, i better hobble my week legs up out of this chair and get something done this morning...

Bye, Leslie

Hi! just a word to tell you that the soreness is going to go, but try to do the work out anywat, just a few repetition is going to help you being less sore. Do a lot of stretching after, it helps a lot. Also, drink milk. Calcium, protein and magnesium are the secrets not to be sore again...  it helped me a lot. I can feel that my muscles are a little tired, but it does not hurt!

I'm almost done with week 2! yay! I think I will take pictures this week end...

Aren't you almost done with week 4-not 2? I will try to do SIU tonight for the second time (this should be my 3rd time) but I wanted to give my legs a chance to heal a bit. I can hardly walk without wincing and limping. I look like a freak haha. i do want to get back to it because I know its working....

Good morning everyone.. well week 1 day 4 and wowo did the riu again today and man still get kinda tired. but i did it any way with a couple of break all i guess. and i even got a walk in today..

Wk1, D2 - The second day has gone pretty well - I did SIU & stretching this morning, and did a few minutes of SI6pack.  I felt really energized through most of the day.  Then I pushed it over the limit by going to my taekwondo class this evening - might pay for it tomorrow.

Idgy - thanks for the answer to my question.  I do feel a little sore today - get this - mostly in my glutes.  I must be working them out right!

Dan120 - Thanks for the info on the milk cure for the soreness.  I will definitely try it.

Any cure for cramping in the abs while doing the ab workout?  Thanks for the info everyone - keeps me motivated to hear that there are others out there who are also struggling a bit, but pushing through it.  Maybe I'll try RIU tomorrow...

Good Morning!  Wow I feel so much better today. Thanks Dan for your suggestions. I did do Siu last night even though I didn't want to. it hurt at first but today i feel sooooo much better. Still sore, but i can handle a little. Congratulations on week 4 alomost done!!!! Your doing great. Are you dreaming about her yet?

As you said Tigger, it hurt to sit you-know-where Embarassed. So i did SIU , 6pack and stretch yesterday. I think I'll try RIU tonight. My son is having a few friends sleep over tonight so I might have to hide out in my bedroom to do it, and that will help keep me away from their pizza too ;)

Amy, glad your moving along so well. have a great weekend in Kansas.

Chic-Your doing great! We're on the same day. Are you doing RIU today or sticking to SIU. I like SIU and feel like its a great work out, actually a little nervous to try RIU after just getting over the major muscle aches I had yesterday. But I guess the point of this six week program is to push it. as for the cramping while doing sit ups, I just rest for a couple of counts. You'll quickly be able to do it through without any troubles though.

looking forward to the stretch part later today--that means I did another day. Have a good one...

Hi everyone,

I offically cheated yesterday... did not do it... firts time in 4 weeks... it had to happen one day... once in a month is not to bad no? She is always telling us to listen to our body... well yesterday my body and mental health were both asking me to take a break, to eat pizza AND to drink wine... ;-) What can you do...

I did SI6P this morning, will BIU tonight, no break tomorrow... :-(

chic, for the cramping during the abs routine, it's going to go away pretty fast. just stick to it and do what you can, abs recover really fast.
dont feel bad dan, red wine is good for you-right??? Sounds good to me, I may have to have some tonight myself,  You deserve a little break, sounds like your right back on it. Good for you. If I deprive myself too much i Just loose interest and quit. so don't feel bad. Wink By the way is pizza different in France? (I hope that's not a stupid question)

Wk1,D3  I sucked it up and did RIU this morning.  It wasn't too difficult until she started using the bands - my arms were on fire!

Idgy - I was also thinking of putting off RIU - I was worried that it would be too hard, and that would make me skip a few days of working out.  But, I tried to ease myself into the workout, and took breaks whenever I needed it.  I didn't quite get all the way through the workout - my youngest child woke up early and decided to sit on my belly during the ab workout at the end.  Though I might be able to handle that in a few weeks, couldn't take the extra weight today!  But, I will be doing the SI6pack tonight.  Maybe you should try to ease into the RIU, and not try to do all the rep.  It'll take me a few more days to follow along at pace, but I'm looking forward to it.

Take care all - keep up the great work!

idgystripes, I'm in Quebec, Canada not in France, but anyway, it's the same big fat pizza with lots of cheese... hummm

today is my last day of week for, only two to go. sorry to say that, but so far, the promises of extraordinary changes are not happening. I lost bodyfat and gain muscles, did not loose a pound. I'm a lot more tired and stiff in the muscles, I have a lot more energy but I need it because otherwise I could not do all the things I have to do now that I pass more than 6 hours a week doing lunges and plies... I've comited myself of doing two rounds of this before chistmas, and I will do it, but I might switch to something else after that is going to be less time consuming.

hope to see results in pictures...
I took the pictures yesterday, and I do have results. I knew I had loose bodyfat but I can see it now, even I it does not show on the scale. (dont ask for them, nor ready yet...)

I'm starting week 5 today, I just finished, BIU is always a chalenge, I love it, it pushes me. I have reach a new level, I have neven been in that shape my hole life! I cant wait for my week off in two weeks to go jogging and see the difference.
WOW! sounds like you all are doing good! I have to admitt I am NOT!!! I have been eating like there is no tomorrow(so much junk here) and I can already tell a difference  in the way I feel! I am ready to get back in the swing of things but right now I am sooooooooo tired! I was actaully starting to see some results in my belly area on Thurs and I hope I havn't ruined all of my good progress! Just wanted to vent and needed some motivation...I guess I could get my butt out of this lawn chair and go do some walking to walk off the HUGE breakfast I ate! Aghhhhh why do I do that? Anyway, I'm off for now! Take care and have a great sunday! I will be back tomorrow after work and hopefully will have good news to report about starting back on week 2...see you all tomorrow!

Thank you all for sharing your experiences.  I have been debating purchasing the program all weekend.  After reading your support for each other and getting a more realistic idea of what it's going to take I just purchased the program.  I can't wait to get started and hope to take off the extra weight.

Good luck everyone.

hey everyone--What a great weekend.I'm sorry its over, as usual. I didn't make time to log on but i did do my RIU. So today is week 1 day 7 so I should be taking it off but i'm not going to! i'm too motivated! Lost 3 pounds the first week! Unbelievable!

Chic: I went ahead and did RIU even though I thought it would be too hard but I was pleasantly surprised. It was hard but I got through and it felt great. My husband did it with me yesterday and it kicked his butt!! I used weights instead of the bands on my second day and liked that better. I felt like the bands were sort of hard to handle. But you're right it did burn especially in my shoulders. I've been adding the SI6pack each day too, I figure i'm already sweaty, might as well do it. Plus, I get to lay down. Laughing

Dan-Don't know why I thought you were in France. I swear I thought I read that on here?? Just to let you know, all your talk of wine and pizza made me indulge too. I was pretty good with the pizza (one slice of cheese) but the wine is another story. Wink I'm glad you are starting to see results in your pix-I bet in the next couple of weeks you'll see big changes! how long did you do RIU before you started BIU?

Amy-I know where your coming from. It's so hard to stick to a good diet when your away from home. I don't know why...I love food, that may be part of it. haha. I'm sure you'll get back on track as soon as you're home. I was so sore at first, but now I look forward to working out because I don't want the little bit of sorness to go away. Do you know what I mean? It's just enough to remind me throughout the day of my hard work plus it just feels good to be getting back into shape again.

Lisa-Glad you decided to try it. I'm glad I did. It's a great program. I think you'll enjoy it. Like I said, I'm just starting week 2 and I can't wait to see the results by week 6. I think because 6 weeks doesn't seem so long it helps me stay motivated. Let us know when you get it!

WK1, D6 - Hello all - I didn't get a chance to post all weekend, but I did manage to do RIU every day, though I haven't always had time to work on the abs.  Like all of you, I gave into some really good (but oh soooo bad for you) foods this weekend.  I guess when Friday rolled around, it seemed like a good time to reward myself for all the hard work during the week.   I had to cut today's RIU short - was running out of time this morning - so I'm counting this as my day off, and continuing with RIU tomorrow.  It's great being able to keep up to pace now - though I still have to take breaks on the leg lifts!

Idgy - I know what you mean by wanting a bit of the soreness to stay - mine's starting to fade away, so I know it's time to pick up the energy in my workouts.

Lisa - Nice to hear you're joining the club!  As you can probably tell from reading the posts, the first few days of the workout are the hardest (though Dan might have better input on this, as he's farther along in the program), so try to work through the first few days, even if you are sore.

Thanks for the continued motivation everyone!

Good Afternoon--Today is week 2 day 1! Moving right along. I agree finding the time to get the work-out in is sometimes difficult. Funny, I don't seem to have trouble finding time to shop. hee hee. I do my workouts in the afternoon, usually someime between 4 and 6. I know mornings are better but I just can't get it done in the morning.

Chic--I HATE THOSE LEG LIFTS!!!!! OUCH! But I am getting closer to doing all the reps. Maybe once we get the reps down we should add ankle weights?!?Tongue out

Dan & Amy--Whaaat'ssss UuuuuuuuP?
