I found Slim  in  6  to be great for toning, it is not dreadfully hard to do. I did the 6 weeks and found my self toned!  I looked great, I did the Slim and Six pack daily too which made my abs look decent.  I have not done this in about 2 years now but would love to start it again, that is if i can get my girls to nap at the same time!  Anyone doing it, or about to start it?  I am ready for the 6 week challenge.  I am eager to start but fear not following through... I know it works!  I have seen results firsthand!  I need a buddy!

Hi--I've done SI6 in the past and am trying to get motivated to start it agian. I have about 15-20 pounds to loose (I'm 5'3" 130lbs) and I want to keep it off. I know excercise is the only way to make it happen but I can't seem to motivate myself. Any suggestions? how long is the turbo jam work out? thanks.

Try wowy.com, it's free!  You can workout with others online.  It helps me stay motivated and accountable.  If you don't show up at your designated time, you feel a little guilty for letting your workout buddies down.

hey! Yea I am but I have to do so either early in the day or when i get in from work. but I have been using it everytime, its is a great way to stay motivated because you know you have committed to that time.

I finished start it up and I feel like i get all the moves, I due to start Ramp it up tonight... prayyy for me.

The soreness did go away but you can still feel it when you do the moves, even today I'm still a little sore on my hips from the wide stance squats but no where near as bad as earlier this week.

although, I know that i'll be back to stage one all over again when I start ramp it up this evening lol.

Ok, I'll put you on my prayer list, lol.  I don't think you'll be back at stage 1 with RIU.  The floor work is challenging, but I didn't get sore all over again.  I felt it for sure!  No getting around that.

Keep up the great work!  Tomorrow I finish my 3rd week.  It's tough but I'm getting stronger every day.  Keep Pushing Play!

What is Slim in 6??

Hi Allie,

Slim in 6 is a 6 week workout program dvd.  It's a no nonsense workout that comes with nutritional guidelines.  It is offered by beachbody.com.  They have other workouts available too.  I like beachbody because of the online support they offer.  I'd be happy to answer more detailed questions if you have any.

Thanks for the response! It sounds like something I might like to try. I'll look it up! Do you need any other equipment?
No equipment necessary!  They send you resistance band for that part of the workout.  I use hand weights myself.  Just a personal preference.  Good luck choosing a workout!
Hey! So day two of Ramp it up and you're right goal the floor work is crazy I still can't get through all of it but I feel myself getting stronger. And I'm not sore all over, but you do feel it burn, I'm excited trying to keep it up with work. i'm working out at like 5:30 or 8 or 10 at night a bit crazed but I feel so much better when I'm done.

Congrats on your 3rd week! You're an inspiration for sure! I'll see you when I get there :)

M

That's' great that you're staying with it marissa!  Pushing the play button is the hardest part, really.  One you've started the workout, there's not quitting, at least for me.

I don't see you on wowy, so I guess our workout times must me different.   I post on the message board sometimes under slim in 6, "Starting 1/1/08."  I jumped in about 2 weeks after I started when I saw the thread on the beachbody emails.  People are at various stages of the program, not all having started on 1/1.  Anyway, there's some inspiration and motivation there, as well as other threads that are on there.  I just don't have time to post on more than the one.

KPP, it works!

I posted this post about a year ago and I see it is still going strong.  I had baby #3 about 7 weeks ago and I am now back in the Slim In 6 routine!  Started it today, my legs were trembling!  Ugh... the first week is always rough!

I will need lots of motivation! I have about 25 lbs to lose.  I will update my profile soon with recent pics.

Allison

You're back, that's great!!  I'm on week 4, day 6 tomorrow.  I have about 20 lbs to go. Come join me or other buddies on wowy for motivation!  Here's ok too!  I love calorie counter!  It really helps me stay at my daily goal.  I've lost 11 lbs since 1/1 and my 3 week pics look promising.  Check out the side view on my gallery.

Keep pressing play Allison!  I'm here to cheer you on!!

That's great to hear. I am motivated to start. It really helps to hear about real results from real people. I am 5'7 160lbs and want to lose at least 20lbs to start. Size 8 would be good again. Today is day 1...again. This time I will make it through the entire program. Gotta stay motivated.

I'm here for you qtee_pie!  Congrats for pushing play on Day 1!!  Sounds like you've tried SI6 before.  Remember, you're going to be sore tomorrow so don't skip day 2!!! Power through the soreness.  You can do it!   I'm 5'6 and I started at 155lbs.  I'm 144 now and my goal is 125.  My short term goal is to finish SI6 at 140 and I think I can do it.  I think you could easily see 148 at the end of 6 weeks.  That's gotta be close to a size 8!

Good luck and keep posting for motivation.

hi everyone. i ordered slim in six a few weeks ago and i have been doing it on and off.  i have a 2 yr old and a 1 yr old so its kind of hard to squeeze one more thing in my everyday routine but i am going to start on 2/1 and not stop i am going to keep on going. i was looking at some of the profiles and i came across kimberly's.  and i just wanna say that i became so motivated after i saw your before and after pics.  congratulations.  i think that is so wonderful, its such a great accomlishment in 23 days.  well i wish all of you the best of luck.

Hello everyone!!! I'm excited to see so many that have SI6. I bought it a few years ago. Started it and surprise surprise, I didn't follow through. Now that I have found this web-site and all of you to give support, I believe I will start it Monday. I'll finish out my workout for this week and then get to it. I don't remember how it works though but I think I kept all the materials so I should be able to figure it out.

I'm so excited!!!!Laughing

All Right!! ^_^b

Ladies, you can also get ticker to track your workout. I think alydaven has started with "how many times this month" you are going to do the workout.

I am copying what united post in other thread coz she is awesome at explaining ^_^ so, the following statements is copyright of united2gether (you rock girl!)

"Go to www.tickerfactory.com and set up your exercise ticker.

After you choose the long slide and the little counter, put in minutes, and how many etc and a password.  When you're done on that page, click next... and the last page will give you the "html" code (3 kinds of codes to choose from.  it's the middle one).

Copy the code from ticker factory so you can paste it into your journal or profile message on calorie count.

How to put it in your journal or your profile on calorie count, you can put in into your journal or profile easily.
when you do your journal entry or edit your profile on calorie-count, use the last button which is the green

click that.  it will take you to the html part of your journal or profile.  go to bottom (or top) and paste in the html web page code (middle box) from the tickerfactory, then click "hide html".  on the regular screen, drag the ticker picture to wherever you want.
hope this helps...

But I don't see a Green button? I need help.

I just joined WOWY. Anyone else in here do it other than goal125?

I'm not exactly sure how to get started.

Mia, I think I might be the only one doing wowy on this thread.  Ask me anything, I'm glad to help!!!Smile

If you absolutely don't know how to get started, go to wowy and at the top click on scheduler/calendar.  From there fill out your workout and times you want to work out.  After that, you can click on buddies to work out with you to help hold you accountable.  This is very general info.  Ask specific question and I will answer them, ok?

Hey Gals!

OMG I can't believe I'm in week 3 already, time goes by fast.  I'm totally in love with this program, its excellent right to the point. everymove counts and who doesn't appreciate that!

Wowy is a great motivator, even if you don't schedule your workouts in advance, just logging in a watching your days add up and seeing all the other people work out with you is great, it keeps you honest.  Thanks Goal for telliing me about this, I think our workout times are crazy different but if you'd like we could schedule a weekend workout together, I have more flexibility then.

Good luck gals and keep pushing play! Goal you're right it does work!
